i think it's the easiest way to create a helical gear without using toolbox , thank you man :)

Hi Rico, when mating gears in SolidWorks, I would used the advanced mates tools. This is where you will find the gear mates. This will allow you to have a ratio, so if gear 1 turns, then gear 2 will turn according to a ratio.
If you are looking for physical motion, you will need to use the motion tool with Physical Dynamics switched on. So if the involutes of the teeth are correct, moving gear 1 will move gear 2 and so on...

I realized that if the profile is too small or too large, then I cannot do the swept cut. Do you know anything to walk around this problem?

we all know about how the helix is done. More specific is projection of the helix in to the middle plane beneath it, thats angle betha and thats why sometimes it wont sweep. Because the tooth profile highly depends on that angle ( more specific the cos of the angle ).
First of all you have to make the evolve and the co - volve of the tooth, on its base pitch diameter and then the helix should be done on that diameter, not at the higher one. Soon ill post a video how to helical and worm gears

How do you maintain the same width on the peak and the valley?

How would you go about to know the angle of the helix in the first technique ? It comes out as height/ and revolution or height and pitch?

      Hi Streken,
You can't control the angle of the helix using the height/revolution or the height/pitch input. I have found, you can view the helical curve from a normal view, then create a reference sketch using the start and end point of the helix. finally, measure the angle between the reference sketch and the edge of the disc. This will give you an idea of the current angle. To change the angle, you will need to tweak the inputs for the helix.
      I hope this helps...

Can someone explain to me why I can't make the the new cut profile. When I want to start drawing from the end of the helix solidworks does not shows it like I can used it as an edge (point). ??? That is not my firs time when facing that problem.
