    Randy.... if im not mistaken.... the 2006 Subaru Legacy GT Wagon is a turbo charged engine and you dont see them everyday!! That ram has one of the most desirable engines in it (5.9L Cummins) and the reason why it sounds so loud.... they either straight piped it or they just cut the exhaust and dumped it just behind the cab to make that 5.9 rumble!!
    I ❤ the sound of the Cummins Rumble!!

    Randy.. much love from the UK. Love the channel! Thanks for showing the many British/ European cars... That Land Rover... we call them Discos here. They are the best 4x4 going when there working, a pleasure to drive... but come across a problem.... huge cash...! On parts alone! Would make good content tho.

It currently has 230k on the clock and has been hauling around 7 of us to Tahoe, LA, Vegas, camping you name it for years. its had it fair share of problems but my dad has always had fixed what went wrong with it. While the US got the 4.3L V6 in those base '90's trucks, the same trucks sold in Mexico still had the inline 6. You couldn't get even close to 100,000 miles with that engine. I can't tell you how many I saw in mechanics shops when they were no more than 5 years old getting overhauls.

  • @1chish
    @1chish 4 роки тому

    OK Brit bias right here Randy but that LR3 (or Discovery 3 here) is a great car. I owned two earlier series 'Discos' (late '90s and early '00s) and never had a moments problem although they were diesels. Paint a white (or yellow in USA) line up a wall and they go right up it! And remember if that is a V8 its a 4.4 Litre and if its a V6 its a 4.0 Litre and both are Ford engines so parts not expensive. As Samcrac found out when he repaired a dealer damaged Range Rover.
    There is huge space in the car anyway and I suspect if you had dug a bit deeper there was a row of extra seats in the back. Mine were 7 seaters. Your 'Black Box' at home will clear all fault codes and its important you do get back to a fixed point with the modules. More Ford again. Given the way it started and ran and everything started to work (especially that air suspension) I think you have found a good one. Bodywork looked great and just needs a good detail to fetch top money.

  • @chrispos620
    @chrispos620 4 роки тому

    Be careful with that LR3, if it has a clean title it might be there for a slipping transmission. Those are the main culprit to total those mechanically since they are so expensive to repair properly. They are amazing cars if they've had the transmission service done and the air suspension is in working order.

    Subaru is a nice car. My mom's been driving them since 94. That one is actually an Outback and it looks like it's the LLBean edition. Somebody obviously removed the badges on the tailgate or perhaps the tailgate was replaced at some point and whoever did it just didn't bother replacing the badges. There is also an LLBean edition trim badge on either front side of the car which is missing on that car. Those badges aren't hard to come by and can easily be replaced. My mom had a red 2004 LLBean wagon back in the day. It's got the nice interior trim and the V6 engine. and yes, that seat belt alarm is very annoying. I think you should buy it. It may or may not have a head gasket issue, but I think the same is probably true for the Land Rover

  • @RogerM88

    That red Dodge Ram 3500 for 3K? Amazing. Here in Europe it would be amazing to have big trucks like that for that price to tow some 4tons trailers. Besides the pick-ups, we just got some cabover trucks.

    @davidl2438 4 роки тому

    Good video. I would not get the Subaru due to no coolant in the radiator. With 177,000 miles on it I would be very concerned about head gasket issues. If you need to replace the head gaskets then one needs to machine the heads, install new head gaskets, install new water pump, and new timing belt and belt tensioner. That is probably a $3, 000 repair. Like the Dodge Dually Pickup and the Dodge Challenger. Personally, I would buy the Challenger and see if one can repair the worst hail damage with paintless dent removal.

    It cracks me up how these salvage videos all say "don't buy it!" when they see Land Rovers but when they look at them, they are all 170K to 220K miles on them, A/C blows cold, all windows work, leather with no bruises or cracks, dash with no cracks, and most of the time the things that don't work are wear out items that the owner just didn't replace. If I get 170K miles out of ANYTHING I GOT MY MONEY'S WORTH!! :-)

    Hey thought I’d comment on the Land Rover... those LR 3 are pretty reliable the 4.4 v8 is a great motor. I can definitely let u know these cars are very sensitive to low batteries so that’s most likely why u received those faults. I have 2 Range Rovers (an 06 and an 07) they both have that same 4.4 v8 which from my experience is incredible. These vehicles are great off roading cars! Very fun! These cars are WAY more reliable than any of the Mercedes s classes you have had (in my option) I’m a total Land Rover nerd so if u have any questions send me a message!

    That is a bad ass Scat Pack Challenger for everyday use in Oklahoma with as much bad weather and hail catches everybody. So you get a bad ass car cheap and get too drive the hell out of it and enjoy it and if it hails oh well:-)

    If its not going to high you should get the dodge scatt pack car. Play with it and do some mods and then maybe have Wierd Beard try to use the Dry ice dent pop on it..
