The sweet multiplayer science of PCU counting.... :)

Imagine space engineers without a PCU limit (and no lag consequences)

Note 1: as soon as you place a block in survival (with one component), it has full mass. So you can use an expensive block like heavy armor or an i ert gyroscope as a counter balance on your pistons.
Note 2: run your drills superslow. You don't want to outpace your refineries. Why store ore? Oh and remember that the greater the radius, the more material the drill will mine. So be aware the drill doesn't get constant ore flow.
Note 3: once you're deep enough, build the entire drill set-up under the starting voxels.... or at least the moving subgrids. That should solve the issue of world spawn clang.
Note 4: don't side-cut with the drill. If you've done all of the above, then position the drill to where the head clears all the voxels under it. You may have to carefully cut your first pass to level things. But once you are cutting a level circle, things get a lot easier... and as I said above, go ultraslow so you don't outpace whatever refineries you are using

Nice vid. I really appreciate thet technical information you give to us. I helps to understand the why and how to work with it when the game decides to be silly.

Little pronunciation correction: It's called "inertia tensor", you like to say "tensioner". I see where you're coming from, but "tensor" actually refers to something completely different from tension (it's a mathematical thing)

Would mass blocks help stabilize those rotors and arms too ? Added counter weights intuitively would increase the amount of work it takes to accelerate/shake.
I would consider timer blocks to lower the pistons and/or move the rotors by a fraction every time they make a full round as well.

consider leaving breaking torque off as well

first you made a large grid miner, second you made a drill... the third step is a printer available in server ?
if you limite the top rotor, you can have your base on the back of the drilling system.
nice design, i will use it.

Got to love a game that was never truly finished, optimized, never added any interesting and cool new enemies or humanoids and when the modders were starting to fill that Gap they start plug in the game for a DLC that breaks older mods. I was already weary Akeem software when they abandoned medieval engineers. Then they went and claimed that space engineers was finished even though the majority the community it wasn't a 10 right when modding started to pick up at AI packages and mods and all this cool stuff most of it is getting broke non-stop because Keen is greedy for money and is adding DLC content that the majority of which should have been based game

I understand, but Keen is working on adding village like NPCs. However there is plenty of ways to break the game. But I in a way enjoy the brokenness sometimes.

Do you play with piston steppers? Essentially 1 piston can get you to any arbitrary depth.

I'll have to research this method. Thx

@@painstudios148 I'll be happy to go over it in detail with you if you like. Definitely one of the more advanced techniques out there. I got some images on my steamcommunity but UA-cam hates links with a burning passion so I can't share them here.

You spelt "servers" incorrectly on your thumbnail.

I'm in shock because you look like a knowledgeable player but you still don't know that this is the rotor torque that cause the twisting vibration.
Just leave the rotor rotating freely without torque or velocity and give the rotation with gyros. It will make your contraption more stable at the same time.

The drill induces vibrations along with the random weights the drill picks from mining
