well actually, I hate to say this, but it was a team called studio pixel, nicalis only did the ports after wii ware was released and he did CS+ after partnering with studio pixel.
"Yes. A living toaster. it had a face, hands, and even feet." "No, I don't need to pee in a cup." "It turned into a giant twenty-foot frog, and attacked me." "Yes it-- hello? hello?"
Guitar's actually harder, you need to be able to shift between regular and harmonic notes for just about every note throughout. Dunno if you're a musician, but for anyone that's not, you'd have to tap the string in a specific area for each time you pluck a note. At this speed I'd call it not humanly possible, bass you might need to do some tap at worst.
***** Once you memorize his pattens, he becomes much easier. (I can usually beat him without much difficulty now, it's usually the hell run that pisses me off more than him.) But yes, when you are fighting him for the first ten or so times, he is quite infuriating...
***** Just jump into his eye and spam missiles like it's a bullet hell game. (especially if you have less than 20 health (but more than 10) remaining at that point...)
Once I had a dream where this song played the entire time. During the dream I was outside of my house on the front lawn and my house was throwing hammers at me (the way hammer bros throw them) and I had to avoid them and get inside my house, but as I was doing I saw that Jacky Chan was stuck to the wall and struggling to get off. I ran inside and I saw one of my online friends was in front of me, and another one was watching, sitting on a table. Me and the one in front of me began fighting, and when the fight ended we argued about who one, and then it cut to gameplay footage of one of the special stages from Sonic 1 and someone in the background yelled “FUCC YOU DOCTOR EGGMAN” and then Eggman appeared doing that animation where he juggles the chaos emeralds, and then his theme song from I think one of the sonic adventure games begins playing over this song, and a voice clip of him laughing plays Now I will forever associate this song with that dream
Ah yes, the only game where a bar of soap can turn into a frog and fight you so you cant save a bunch of rabbits from getting turned into death machines by yellow shrek.
As if this theme wasn't fucking amazing already, the remix they did for it for the 3ds blows my mind. Pixel composes amazing music, and whoever arranged the 3ds music is great too.

I can see it: Quote, with a Curly alternate skin (Like Villager/Wii Fit/Corrin/Robin), the alternate colors would be the difficulty level colors, maybe even a Mimiga Mask skin, too. Neutral Attack: Polar Star, or maybe a melee attack combo. Running Attack: Blade (Lv. 1), give it a bit of lag to stop spamming Side Strong: Blade (Lv. 2) Side Smash: Blade (Lv. 3) Up Strong: Spur (Lv. 1), give it a bit of lag, too Up Smash: Spur (Like Palutena's Up Smash), the level depends on how much you hold the button Down Strong: Fireball (Lv. 1/2) Down Smash: Fierball (Lv. 3), in both directions Neutral Aereal: Spinning (like Olimar, but with weak bullets) Front Aereal: Nemesis (Lv. 3), great to annoy people and stop them to jump Back Aereal: Nemesis (Lv. 2) Up Aereal: Machine Gun (lv. 3), giving extra speed to fall (but not as much as Bowser's Down Aereal, and more movement freedom) Down Aereal: Machine Gun (Lv. 3), giving a litle jump height (like Luigi's Down B) Special: Bubble (Like Pit's Arrows, you can change the direction) Side Special: Misiles (Kinda like Samus) Up Special: Jetpack 2.0 (With the same movement mechanics, it would be fun) Down Special: Snake (More or less a Mario's Fireball, but slower and more powerful) Final Smash: This is hard, but I think it could be to call Kazuma's dragon and make him fly randomly over the screen (like the Lati duo), with a lot of power, or ride it and do something like Sonic's FS, or Balrog (maybe chasing randomly the enemies or falling like Snorlax), or something like that. What do you think? (I spent a lot of time thinking on the attacks and stuff :S)
No, legend speaks of ONE that could overcome any challenge, and continues to do so to this day. Some "men" of today think they are truly great, but there is one they fear. In their tongue, he is CHUCK NORRIS.
None of the covers in the remakes really do this justice. There’s this eerie creepiness and creeping panic in this song that none of the others really thought to translate into the new instruments.
its got WAY more tracks, doesn't use leitmotifs, and it all retains a 16-bit feel, so it is better by far, but that doesn't mean undertale doesn't have its merits. the shop theme, hopes and dreams, finale, and the song that plays at the end of the pacifist run are all really good
You say "doesn't use leitmotifs" as if leitmotifs are a bad thing. Leitmotifs, if used correctly (which Undertale does) can make a work of fiction far more powerful through its use of music.
Evan Hamilton I don't mean it as a bad thing, it still sounds amazing and I can see how the placement of leitmotifs can improve how powerful some songs are, such as the main theme and "Undertale" sharing the same leitmotif, making the song "Undertale" much more powerful. Some songs use them when they're not needed, such as when comparing Undynes theme and the Waterfall theme.
"Got way more tracks" I think you are looking at simply the stage and boss themes in undertale, because im pretty sure there are more tracks in undertale, including the genocide remixes, and yes, while most undertale themes are remixes of another, like 'Spear of Justice' and 'Waterfall', 'Another Medium' and 'CORE' and 'Start Menu' and 'Undertale', they are, in my opinion remixed in such a way that its not just a simple remix, but an entirely different version with different instruments and different parts here and there.
Well, Cave Story +'s hard mode disables the energy capsules, meaning your health never goes higher than 3. All they'd have to do is get the Nemesis up to lv 3. Of course, they'd have to deal with the x2 health for everything, also.
Dude i wish, there are only the idiots that are voting for old characters. And i shit you not, some fuckboy kid wanted Rayquaza -.- i hate the internet sometimes
Monster X killed me SO MANY TIMES. That sucker just kept shooting those idiotic missiles at me and those pink/purple puffs, ruining my lv3 blade. I hate that guy. The music made up for it, though.
Level 2 blade is the fastest way to kill Monster X, you don't even need lvl 3. You get close and mash the hell out of him, the sword will destroy most projectiles anyway.
Considering all these "Real Men" I'd say that every real man is simultaneously sane enough to be able to play a game and insane enough to have lost all reason beyond making things harder for themselves.
Monster X was easily the toughest boss in the game for me. However, I haven't fought Ballos yet, so there's a chance he'll be tougher. Took me four tries using Machine Gun and King's Spirit (That's my nickname for the L3 Sword).
Could you imagine Quote's Smash Bros stage if he made it in? It would cycle through all the worlds, and at the end you'd be in Black Space, and the Undead Core fires lasers at you.
@DFMike73 Funny you should ask that, I have had plans to do that since it was released... now that the college semester is over, I'm able to. If you are subscribed, you should see it up within 2 weeks. Holidays and all will delay them for about that long but they WILL be up guarenteed.
I prefer this over the 3DS or Wii version. Who else does? Seems like I'm the only one. My friends prefer the 3DS one over this one :( I feel like the 3DS one is too much of a jumble of sounds.
Screw the 3DS one. It sounds like a porno remix of this amazing battle music...and it killed Jenka 2 for me also. There's gotta be something to salvage in there though...Moonsong? Nope.
Everyone I know likes the Remastered (3DS) or New (Wii) versions better. I love these versions better. The other versions usually get the song incorrectly, like with Running Hell. They've never gotten 0:47 and past on that song right (Not this song, Running Hell)
@SolarisBlitz It took me a few solid hours. Monster X himself wasn't that bad (I'd say about 15-20 actual attempts at battle), but getting to him was an absolute pain because of how reckless I got after failing so many times. Use Lv3 Blade as soon as the gates open, then start running for cover, hiding behind the small triangle mounds and slashing occasionally to block the missiles that the mound doesn't cover.
@likitty20 Stay in one spot and keep jumping to avoid the wheels, when it opens up keep pummling it with level 2 sword, when you can acually hurt it, use level 3 missles or the sword again.
@likitty20 what i do is i run from one end of the room straight to the other and nuke all the Gaudis before the boss gets to me. then, i hop on the tread farthest away, it makes him switch directions. keep jumping to the other tread and when he stops, get underneath him and hop a bunch, start spamming your Lv2 Blade, and pop the green bubble looking things. once all those are gone, keep riding him and when he stops, spam the Blade as hard as you can in his face, then kill the fish missiles.
I hear ya, to me he IS the hardest boss in the entire game xD Even when i run normal mode I have problems whit him. Just need to clench my teeth and try once again...
I can't help but imagine these as the lyrics: Help me help me help me please my eyes are on fire someone help me for the love of god 'cause I CAN'T SEE ANYTHING! Somebody help! My lord just when did my eyes catch on fire? Somebody help! Please help my eyes they are on FUCKING FIRE! (x2) Tell me, my eyes, why are they bathed in fire? Why are my eyes suddenly cloaked in fire? I was just walking around when they burst into flame! And now I'm running around- GOD WILL NO ONE HELP ME!?
I have the original. I was talking about after the Doctor fight (or the Misery fight, for that matter). Blocks block your way out, and you were talking about backtracking after the doctor fight. I haven't tried backtracking from the balcony, so I don't know about that.
Monster X wasn't a problem for me, Just use your lvl 3 blade on the 4 orbs, then spam missiles until you run out, then your main weapon (whatever you have traded) until you get moar missiles. and during the 4 orbs part, if your low on health/missiles/EXP, then just shoot the bullets coming from the orbs. :P
@NightshadeDarkrai I, too, believe Monster X was very easy, and so was the labyrinth. I have played both versions of Cave Story, both the original and Plus. The only difference gameplay-wise is the ability to choose the difficulty.
Which version do you own? I have Cave Story+ on Steam, and I was able to reenter the Last Cave from the Balcony. I'm not sure if you're able to on the original or on the 3DS, but I was able to.I was also able to backtrack through Last Cave (Hidden) to get the Iron Bond, so it's not a matter of which cave. Huh, I'll have to look into this.
@ReligiousHero I actually don't understand the need for a like/dislike bar. If you like it, you like it. If you don't like it, you don't like it. What someone else thinks of it shouldn't matter when you are forming your own opinion about something, nor should the amount of views.
MX is a noob killer boss, quite difficult if you have no idea what to do (especially since he is the FIRST boss to force the player to destroy parts of him that deal no real damage to his hp), but equally easy when one knows the right strategy. Although really, it should be obvious that the weapon you just got would be effective against the boss you fought just after getting said weapon. Sadly, I had more trouble with Balfrog hahaha.
I beat the game on Normal Mode. I mean, the regular game isn't too hard spare the occassional death from a boss, but I cant beat hell. I can usually make it up to Heavy Press before I die. I eventually decided to start fresh with an Easy Mode file and (i dont think I died at all actually) but I made it through hell on my first try (but I only had like 2 HP left and used my Health Pot). So, best bet is, if you want to be able to say you beat hell, do it on easy mode XD
That's godamn insane. If you're going for the best ending especially! It was hard enough on EASY Mode. I almost died on Easy Mode, let alone Normal or HARD. Plus, what would you do about the first 3/4 the game before you get the nemesis? Only use Polar Star?
Polapolapopapipo, pa polapolapopapopa, pa polapolapopapipo, popapapapapapapo. Polapolapopapipo, pa polapolapopapopa, pa polapolapopapipo, popapapapapapapo POO PAA POO PAA, PAA PO PAA PAA PO PAA PAA, PAPAPOPO POPO POLOPOLOPOLOPOLOPALAPALA PAAA PAAA, POLO POLO PAAAAAAH PAAAH PAH PAH PAH, POLO POLO PAAAAAAH, PAAAH PAH PAH. Oof.
Then don't search for an extended version of a song, most extended songs are 10 minutes. I just didn't see any extended versions of the CS OST so I made them myself.
To this day, I find it interesting how Cave Story was coded completely from scratch, over the course of five years, by one man. All by himself.
in his spare time

I kid you not curly, she turned the toaster into a frog, funniest shit I've ever seen.
Try saying, with a straight face,
"A toaster turned into a frog and attacked me."
Oh, and we had to use fans to jump over him, and little frogs fell down from the ceiling
Its actually a bar of soap that turned into a frog and attacked me
Me: "A toast...." *starts laughing*

"No, I don't need to pee in a cup."
"It turned into a giant twenty-foot frog, and attacked me."
"Yes it-- hello? hello?"
_our robot turns into a smoking hot tv star, how about yours?_

Yeah on the switch version I have it.

HELL YEAH!
**Monster X, Heavy Press, and Ballos' 2nd Phase**
No. Just... NO!!!
Monster X is easy! I died maybe twice!
ResidentFailure
It's not really the difficulty that bothers me. I just find Monster X incredibly annoying...
Evil_Nazgul0616 Ehhhhh... The missiles suck, but use level 3 blade and you can breeze through it pretty intact.

HOT...HOT...
Well, most people think his patterns (at first) are unpredictable, or just get unlucky and get run over by his wheels that deal a huge 10 damage :(
Yes!
I have the original. I was talking about after the Doctor fight (or the Misery fight, for that matter). Blocks block your way out, and you were talking about backtracking after the doctor fight. I haven't tried backtracking from the balcony, so I don't know about that.
If someone had this as their ring-tone, I guarantee he/she would never pickup their phone.
When this was playing, shit was about to get down
That fucking Cat tank
@JarredPeaches actually, when it comes to bosses, i prefer level 2, because you dont have to wait for the area effect to stop.
DAMN YOU MONSTER X!!!
@LotDW2007 That's gonna be awesome. :D
I find that missile spamming works pretty well. I haven't tried using the level 2 sword yet.
Monster X wasn't a problem for me,
Just use your lvl 3 blade on the 4 orbs, then spam missiles until you run out, then your main weapon (whatever you have traded) until you get moar missiles.
and during the 4 orbs part, if your low on health/missiles/EXP, then just shoot the bullets coming from the orbs.
:P
Soap? I thought he was a T.V.
HUZZAH! I'M A GIANT..... frog?
Ah. No, I kept dying on those battles, so I loaded my save in the Prefab House and went back to the Plantation instead of fighting Misery.
@ReligiousHero I actually don't understand the need for a like/dislike bar. If you like it, you like it. If you don't like it, you don't like it. What someone else thinks of it shouldn't matter when you are forming your own opinion about something, nor should the amount of views.
bar of soap frog
Real man use level 3 nemesis.
what about lv 1 bubbline?
MX is a noob killer boss, quite difficult if you have no idea what to do (especially since he is the FIRST boss to force the player to destroy parts of him that deal no real damage to his hp), but equally easy when one knows the right strategy. Although really, it should be obvious that the weapon you just got would be effective against the boss you fought just after getting said weapon.
Sadly, I had more trouble with Balfrog hahaha.
Balrog is a fool
balrog is cool! :D
An adorable fool.
then why do you hav it as a parnet?
I don't think it was by choice...
+Mr Textman Cool fool
Intense battle... WITH A FUCKING CAT!!! *mindblown*
@VigorousjammerX Damn, I noticed it, and I can't stop looking at it...
That's godamn insane. If you're going for the best ending especially! It was hard enough on EASY Mode. I almost died on Easy Mode, let alone Normal or HARD. Plus, what would you do about the first 3/4 the game before you get the nemesis? Only use Polar Star?

Then don't search for an extended version of a song, most extended songs are 10 minutes. I just didn't see any extended versions of the CS OST so I made them myself.
