your completely right about how good times will never fade away. I used to play the demo version of this game back in 2011 on my wii. those were one of my favorite fun moments of my entire life😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
I played this game for the first time about a week ago and I've listened to this song about 12 times since. And every single time, I think of the message that shows when you pick up the map system: "So long as you maintain a sense of exploration, you will some day find the way out. This is my hope." That really struck a chord with me and I'm not sure why. I do tend to give it lots of deep, philosophical meanings, though. Like, as long as you remain curious, you will one day solve your problems
I started this game by playing the official demo version on the Nintendo Wii console back in 2011. I miss this game so so so so so much. I used play the demo every single day non-stop. In fact, I never got bored or sick of it because of the beautiful storyline, charming music, nes-style graphics, and amazing gameplay😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁 R.I.P the Wii Shop Channel😭😭😭
This song is so nostalgic for me. I first played Cave Story all the way back in 2011 after seeing it advertised on the DSi shop. It looked like an interesting shoot 'em up so I bought it, and boy did it blow my expectations away. Cave Story is not just a mindless shooter like I expected, but a well written and beautifully realized experience.
I played the DSi version first too, though that was after it closed down. While looking through a site listing DSiWare games, I stumbled upon Cave Story so I looked for a rom and found one to install onto my DSi and I LOVED IT.
Ahhh, this is amazing. The after my crappy elementary school days sitting at my TV screen playing this game. I remember the taste of the juice when I drank it, the touch of the remote, the sound of the buttons pressing and this music, right by my side. I remember the people I saved, the memories I built, the building blocks of my gaming career. I remember just playing with my older bro, having a bawl commentating on this game... I just wish it never ended... But all good things come to an end. New adventures to be made, new friendships to be had, new people, places, and games in my life to be bestowed upon me. This music represents to me, the embodiment of my adventures, my happiness, my love, and my joy... What about you...
@@liamthurston7679 it came out on wii, also there are multiple rom hacks that allow it to be played on certain other old consoles, like Sega genisis or I think one for snes.

this feels like a person's theme a person who seems to be happy and cheerful but, they have the biggest scars of sorrows to hide their morbid face they are always happy and cheery
Nostalgia central. Though I never played the whole game, just a demo on the Wii. I feel tied to and nostalgic for a world I have never been able to grasp. I have a feeling of longing for a world that I never had- yet feels like home.
My story with this game is less one of nostalgia and more "i absolutely regret nothing". Basically, it went sorta like, I knew about the game due to an arrangement of Scourge of the Universe by DM Dokuro as well as some friends who liked the game. Later down the line I found Last Battle (Ballos Mix), thought it was pretty good, but that never spurred me to do much. Later I find the OG last battle and, being bored at around 3 AM, decided to look up videos of the game to see what it was like. Thought it looked neat from the "What was cave story?" Vid, and then the freeware version was mentioned. Of course, with the opportunity to just try it _then and there,_ I decided I would. Honestly, best on-the-spot decision I've ever made and I may just pick up the switch port one day. Seriously, I have been listening to this soundtrack for days on end help-
I hereby share my petition, across all my favorite tracks from this game, to nominate Quote as a fighter for Super Smash Bros. 5. Because Cave Story is so Nintendo-y and awesome it may as well be let in, and if Solid Snake and Sonic the Fucking Hedgehog made it in, then hell anything's possible. All in favor, sign below. -R. C. I'd rather there be an Indie Smash Bros. with Quote form Cave Story, Tim from Braid, Meat Boy from Super Meat Boy, the kid from Treasure Adventure Game, and so many more. I'd love to have him in Smash, especially since a fucking Xenoblade character got in, but I feel like this is a better and more feasible option.
This is one of my first games I played on my 3DS, and it was so much fun. The main reason why I enjoyed it so much was the music. It was so beautiful and it I would sometimes dance to it. This was my favorite track of the game and it has never left me. Thank you Cave Story!
Nostalgia overload, even if I couldn't get too far when I played the game myself (but then again I WAS a dumb little kid who couldn't get past some relatively easy things so...)
This game was so wondrous for me. It felt like an actual exploration. This game moved me, maybe because of how singular the experience was. It was kind of isolating in a way. I was very alone. But there was a hope of escape, and I needed to help the village. I needed to know who I was. So many secrets and treasures. I want to play this game again. It was a beautifully realized experience caked in nostalgia. I want to feel that nostagia. I love this game.
The way the music reflects on how, loads of mimigas lived here. But are either killed and kidnapped by the Doctor, just makes this 100%sad instead of happy..
