- This is a video dedicated to Connor MacLeod, the original, and to many the only, Highlander.
The song is Bonny Portmore, remixed from three different version of the song.

My name is Stewart Andrew Nicol. I am born of the Clan Macleod of Macleod. I was driven to play drums from the age of 3. My band - Perfect Strangers - played the music from Highlander in concert across Europe. The film HIGHLANDER hit me like a memory from the past. I was born and bred in Fife, Scotland, from a family of coal miners. However, I believed that I was destined for higher things....and I Was Right!

Connor was happiest with hi9s first wife, seriously doubt he ever recovered from the loss. Being immortal...a lot of pain to carry, a chance of death even at the hands of a friend would be a blessing.

In reality, being immortal would be amazing and ethereal. People like to cite “losing friends and family” as a deterrent or downside, but it is actually far less of a downside than for mortals: the expanse and aspirations of one’s perspective would widen cosmically with immortality, making the passing of friends and family far easier to handle and overcome, not to mention that mortals overcome such hardships constantly. It is foolish and limited to avoid immortality because of momentarily “feeling bad” over loved ones gone. It would be but a minute inconvenience for an immortal in the long run, if even that. In the Highlander series, of course, Heather’s loss is heavily dramatized for entertainment, not to mention that she was Connor’s first loss post-immortality. The ones that followed hit far less heavily, for sure.
The original Connor MacLeod / Highlander can never be improved on!

Of all of the Tributes to Connor McLeod on UA-cam, this is the most touching one. I've seen all of those scenes a million times, but you managed to put them together in a very unique way and his laugh at the end is simply, haunting. Thanks!

Yes indeed, in fact, I wish I couldn't. It hurts sometime, somewhere deep, and quite unexpected. But it's the good feeling kind of pain. The Peter Pan kind of pain. I'm sure many of you can relate.
And the feels for Richie as well. He took something with him, when he made his last step. I feel like I want to switch dimensions now, where Highlander lives on, with all the gang in the credit rolls. Christophe at the top, that goes without saying. Or even the bottom. Last but not list kinda thing. Yes.

Well done! You caught the essence of the Highlander universe in film, television and song. For of of us who love the Highlander in all its forms, thank you for including Conner,s history with Duncan and all the characters he loved and cared about. Hats off to the Clan MacLeod.
It's one of my favorite, too. I wish they could finally do a sequel in the franchise that would do the first movie justice.
Highlander was one of my favorite shows.

An interesting fact about Connor. All the other Immortals are foundlings, but only Connor was raised by his real mother. She didn't abandon him like the mothers of the other Immortals did with their "odd" children.
If I had to choose between Conner and Duncan as my favorite Highlander, it would be Conner. I can relate more to him. I wish Conner was in more episodes of Highlander. It would of a been really good if there were seens with Conner, Joe Dawson, Richie Ryan and Methos. Because he was Duncans mentor as an Immortal.

Hi yes if would been good if Conner was in the final episode of Highlander series in 1998 leading to the movie Highlander end game in 2000. Also Ducan, Methos,
Richie and Joe could have has a small part gathering in the movie Highlander 3 in 1995 hanging out at a bar or restaurant !. Also the Highlander cartoon series which ran from 1994-1996 claims and refers to Connor over Duncan !.

Seriously, soooo much can be done to the premise of this story. Highlander should be rebooted and get it properly done.
Agreed. The premise of immortality as shown in the franchise could have resulted into an incredible film series or TV series (the latter being better in terms of character development). Unfortunately, producers did not really take their work seriously. I would love a reboot, but it is difficult to find someone good enough to play Connor, Duncan, Methos, etc.
Christophe/Christopher Lambert is a good actor, he deserved a better career in America and in France his homecountry.
There is no highlander movie sequel again in year 2023, this was masterpiece movie franchise

Macleod's body and personality are only temporary - fleeting like the snow in spring. The original film was only the beginning-the lives of the Highlander have been many and varied - the one that I am presently experiencing is that of a drummer gone beyond drumming to music on a different plane - keyboards, vocals, guitar, banjo and stand-up comedy, there is life after your ambitions!! My Clan is Macleod of Macleod and although there can be only one there can be many incarnations at once!!!!!

Have to say that I had hard time concidering Connor McLeod as one of the Highlander. I'm a big fan of Duncan.
But I admit that in a sense, he is the hell of an Highlander and was the one who made honorable the name of McLeod. He had a long and exausting life, but he never broke, not enven at the end.
His sacrifice, ultimate proof of his sense of duty and his wisdom, was the last lesson he had to bring to his pupil.
Maybe not the first in my heart, but undoubtly a true Highlander.
They were both real men and we're both handsome and both had great voices couldn't have pick and better tow ,to play the part
There should have been only the first movie and it would be perfect. But as the money business is going on it destroyed the myth about Highlander. But I like this video very much and it´s well done! Thanks for this nice tribute!

A perfect video. I always thought this song was perfect, for a final chapter. Seeing it close out Connor's storyline, you hit the jackpot. To bad the studios that made Highlander, didn't see your genius.
You know, there is one helluva movie here, if someone were to edit al the best bits of the Higlander series into one almighty film.

Wonderful video. It makes me remember how much i love the original Highlander. My great grandfather was a MacKintosh, from Inverness. As a Scot, i would like to think the blood of the Highlanders flows through my veins.I believe that's why i feel such a strong connection to the movie. And Bonny Portmore is such a beautiful song. Connor made a few appearances on the Series. The saddest one is when Duncan loses his Lakota wife, had to lay her on a pyre, and Duncan and Connor talk, heartbreaking. Loreena McKennitt, still does the beat version of "Bonny Portmore,"but this one is pretty sweet.

Ricardo Davidson we’ll endgame is connected to the tv series and even from the first episode you can tell it’s different Connor then the one from the movie verse,I see the Connor from the tv verse and endgame as more of a battle hardened person who’s seen people age and die,while highlander 1-3 aka movie verse Connor had the means to love again even when Brenda died he found love again for a short while even had adopted a child and then why highlander two we see him age and accept his death only to become immortal again and yet again find love,in the movie verse he had time to move on from these deaths while in the tv verse he didn’t,he knew something was wrong in endgame saw Rachel die,exile himself never really coping with the deaths of the one he lost this Connor was lost and wanted to just end the game and die tbh,I know it long but I hope I make some sense lol
One thing that I love with Highlander is how easy and random he gets his wives.
