I like this Tv show..I was pissed when Duncan had to fight with vilains with no fighting skills...I mean Adrian Paul has sword skills..he is a good actor....he is a dancer...a martial artist.....most of his antagonist were famous tv actors from the 90'.....I miss this show...
@jasongbaird Adrian Paul was fantastic at it. He was a natural. The choreography was itself brilliant, but Adrian executed it like he'd been studying it all his life.
thanks, I loved the highlander series. I always wanted to be in the show, but it ended before i had a chance to! Duncan was good with the sword, a big part of what got me into the martial arts. However I never got the chance to duel him.
Agreed he also was one of the best fights in the series imho season 5 episode 3, i liked how he changes his sword style in the fight not many switched it up like Clay did.
It's a great show nice clips a bit short. Also I hate to say it but the person who commented on real sword fighting is correct. Even in what's called historical fencing . The fight where where they circle would not happen as it leaves a large opening. With that said he had and has wonderful skills.
What I think is facilitating is that time and consciousness is relative. That's why our childhood felt so long, because those years were massive % of our life to that point. As we get older that % decreased which gives us the perception of time passing by more quickly because it represents a smaller and smaller part of our life. I always thought for the immortals at a certain point decade's would feel like weeks or days.
Usually when you do a tribute it's when a character died he didn't die like I know you made this video 14 years ago but back then we had Highlander The Source he didn't die he became the one he defeated the guardian he made his wish to be able to have a kid with Kate. Not to mention Duncan defeated the guardian as mortal he killed the bastard that killed Joe he proved that he is the one
Heck, in a couple cases just in these three fights, the bad guy actually gives up a superior position for no apparent reason, other than the fact it looks "good" on camera to have two guys circling one another and stuff.

Actually, if you study real martial arts, you'll see that most of the choreography is terribly unrealistic, both in terms of an actual sword fighting stance, and in terms of their footwork and positional play in the terrain. Sorry. I did seminar under grandmasters before, and studied karate and traditional weapons fighting for several years. Real sword fighting doesn't look like this, even though it's good entertainment.
Duncan had so much style and finesse with his sword game it's ridiculous!!!
