  • In this video, I share experience with Rain X Pro Graphene Spray Wax. Rain-X Pro is bringing Spray Wax to a new height with proprietary Graphene Shield Technology. Graphene nanoplatelets form a matrix with hydrophobic polymers to provide extreme hydrophobicity and durability. Streak-free and easy to apply formula - simply spray on and wipe off. One application of Rain-X Pro Graphene Spray Wax is all you need to give your vehicle enhanced gloss, slickness, and color depth. Plus the top-of-the-line water beading you’ve grown to love from Rain-X in order to withstand and outsmart the elements! We shall see! We will compare it to 303 Graphene Spray Coating in this video.

      I used the 303 graphene previously and wasn't really a fan. The removal was more difficult and never seemed as slick as sio2 products. I prefer using TLC2 much more so easy to apply and just as durable in my experience.

    I think of RainX as being a windscreen repellent company so this product really surprised me. With it's ease of application and reasonable longevity, it looks great to me. However, I'll still continue with Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Wax as it has a significant jetting and gloss boost that I can see without a meter and multiple application methods for slow or quick application. It also fares consistently well in durability tests.

    I use 303 Graphene on all my customers with black, grey, or silver vehicles. Direct sunlight with hot panels is no problem but work quickly. It takes a bit more time to cure and not be grabby. But it is great on truck and SUV roofs, seems to stay cleaner and sheds weather. Will not try Rain-X if cannot use in daylight as scarce as a mobile detailer unless I bring the shade.

    I had no idea RainX would perform this well. In the eighties there was not any protection this strong as both are good four to six month sealants.
    There are companies who market graphene as the top product in their lineup. The first thing graphene did was make the ceramic coating manufacturers step up their game. The chemists appear to be getting more confident with graphene but we are no where near the ceiling for graphene in my opinion. Thank you for the video.

      Yeah I've been using that same combo on a van I take care of and it's been excellent. One of the best bang for your buck values out there for vehicles that don't require higher end products. In my case it's garage kept and less than 10K kms a year so I'm getting beyond typical durability, but honestly one bottle each of SnS and Ice Wax will likely last me a year.

    • @gabevillarreal96
      @gabevillarreal96 Рік тому +1

      @@Phuong_Nguyen_ Great question. I do it just like this: First I hand wash and dry the entire vehicle. If your car's paint feels bumpy when clean I'd do an iron remover first then a clay bar or mitt before adding protection. After the car is dry, I spray two sprays per panel of Seal N Shine like half a hood and work it in using a cross hatch pattern. Front to back and side to side overlapping on every pass. Then I immediately buff off. I do the entire car top to bottom. Now I wash my car 52 times a year by hand every Sunday so depending on how often you wash it determines the next step. After a week, I wash my car by hand and dry it. Once it's dry I do the exact same method as I did with Seal n Shine on this time with TW Ice Spray Wax. After that I would apply the I've spray wax every time I wash my car because it's so easy and it just adds protection and slickness and gloss. Your sealant has already bonded to your paint as your foundation and the ice spray wax on top every week just adds layers of protection. If you wash your car every two weeks or a month it works out perfectly. If you don't want to apply it every wash then just follow my instructions and apply Seal n shine and a week later ice spray wax and you will be good for around 4- 6 months depending on your conditions. Garage kept or outside 24/7. Either way it's super easy and fun! Best of luck!

    I'm ok with the Graphene products, but almost all of these products still say "Graphene Ceramic Coating(s)" as to imply they're still ceramic coatings, waxes, etc. with a little something added. At first, the Graphene products were all a little gray/black and now they're starting to be marketed as being clear? Does anyone else find this somewhat odd? And did someone in China (China has the monopoly on Pure Carbon and processing and processing of 99% of all ceramic coatings at their 3 locations) discover how to turn pure black carbon (carbon is only black in color) into clear carbon? I only ask because... That was kind-of the proof "Graphene is in There... Don't Worry 'bout It". If I missed some groundbreaking news about graphene, please let me know. Great video and demo. Nobody is going to spray wheel cleaner or all purpose cleaner on his car, but the real stuff that "ruins" the paint or the looks of it is never tested. I am talking about road salt, anti-icing sprays like calcium, UV rays, bird poop, and so on.

The infrared is emitted as a cone and the further away you position it from the panel the larger the circle being detected is. When you were taking your measurements it appears you were actually probably including the tip of the gun. I'm not buying into graphene either if I'm perfectly honest.
    Jason at Chicago Auto Pro's did a great in-depth dive into it and it just doesn't seem to offer anything above a traditional ceramic.
    The problem is, there are SO MANY of these products out there now too.
    I guess that's the good and bad of the detailing scene exploding into the more mainstream consciousness.

    The issue I am having with car care products is that the normal prices of $7 is now at $20+ for the same size bottle. When you fully clean your car, wash, wax, wheels, tires, windshield, interior with these expensive products it is starting to get to the point where an automated car wash is cheaper. I have started reverting back to the "Cheaper" Low-end products since I wash my car once every 2 months anyway and surprised to see that overall results at the 2 month period is very similar.
    *I am done paying high prices for Brand Name and Buzz words*
