You should, BUT... once you start you get hooked. Next thing you know, everything is automated and you sit on your couch making the smart home do everything and you gain 20 pounds in no time at all. LOL!

I wish FEIT would fix the app so that every one of their cameras had the same interface as the flood lights.
I have to admit... I feel the exact same way. I actually like the interface for the flood lights but the other cameras make it so difficult to locate a recorded video in a specific location of the day. Thank you so very much for watching our video and for leaving an observant comment.
We have the wired doorbell from Menards. We bought the spotlight cam from Costco first. And we noticed the issue with the doorbell that you noticed. If you record by choosing record, a listing is created in album not unlike the video listings in playback for the spotlight cam. I called Feit last night, asking for a callback. I got the call this morning. And what they said is doorbell / app is just designed that way. You can only scroll through the timeline on it.
One other issue they spoke with me about. I had told them I couldn't open the app while I was talking on the phone. Because the phone call would experience a sound like static, and then no sound at all. And then disconnect. I have android 10 and I use Google fi for my cellular service.

Do the pan camera have the ability to listen in the surroundings? Two way talk also?
Yes. The pan camera has two way talk capabilities.
any idea how to remove the battery from this Feit doorbell if the camera was removed from the mobile app? you have to unlock the battery from the camera with the app. the reset button on the bottom of the battery stopped working (even though the battery has a full charge) so i am unable to pair the camera with the mobile app, so can't use the mobile app to unlock the battery. ugh
To be honest, I was never able to get any unlock to work. It is not perfect but I now just pull the battery out, charge it and then force it back on. It may not be the manufacturers ideal method but it works for me. I figure , if a burglar sees the doorbell camera, they might just smash it. What is important is that the camera picks up an image and warns me. I believe it also serves as a deterrent as well. Sorry I am not of much help to you. If you have any other questions, let me know and I will do my best to try to provide you with a proper resolution.
I like to know more about the videos location. I understand that the video recording will be store in the memory card. Is this like a WYZE where there is also a limited recording is in the cloud? What is the time limit for cloud videos? If they upgrade the software version, will the camera upgrade by itself? Will they stop suporting camera versions like WYZE? How many people can you share your camera videos with? Can others people get warnings in case I am not by my phone?
Let me first thank you for taking the time to watch our video. We both appreciate it very much. Now to try to answer your questions. First, I am unfamiliar with WYZE so I cannot compare them. The Feit camera stores recordings directly on the SD Card. It does not utilize the cloud. You can use the application to ensure you have the most current software and firmware. I have yet to see upgrades on either and the app indicates I have the most current version. I have no idea if they support WYZE cameras. The application allows you to share with others but it does not reflect a limit. If you share with others, it should mean they can set the application to notify them if there is any movement detected. We are not FEIT employees so I am unable to provide answers beyond my experience with the product. To be absolutely sure you get the proper answers, I recommend you contact the FEIT helpdesk. They have been very polite, knowledgeable and quick to answer my questions when I contact them and I am sure they will be able to answer your questions as well. I am sorry I was not able to fully answer your questions but if you wish to ask more, please feel free to do so and we will try our best to answer.
Thank you for the great tutorial! I have the wi-fi wireless door bell, wi-fi wireless security camera and the wi-fi outdoor wireless security camera. They work good. I have a big issue with all of them that is I rarely can review the recorded videos on the SD card. All of them have 32gb cards and formatted by the cameras. I can see the SD cards in app there is space used for recording. Is there anyway to make the recordings to the cloud or somewhere else than the SD cards? Thank you!
Thank you for watching our video. We appreciate it very much. In response to your questions, please note that I am not an expert of these products but I will provide you with information based on what I am aware of. 1 - There are different types of SD cards. Inexpensive cards have often are unable to record data as quickly and may cause problems. You also mentioned you formatted the cards on a camera, Format the cards within the security cam itself. The app has a "Format" feature. This might help make the SD cards work better in the security camera. 2 - I am not aware of a way to save recordings to the cloud for this device. You can open the app and locate a recording based on the date and time. To the far right there is a down arrow. By clicking on it, the video will download directly to your phone. There is also software that allows you to make your PC work with Android apps. I install feit app on my computer and download videos onto my computer instead of my phone. I hope this helps but if you need more information, please let me know and I will try to explain better.

@@belalantos5466 I use a program called Bluestacks. Once you install it and then open the program, it is an Android program and you can download and install android apps that run inside Bluestacks. It is free and based on my research, it appears to be a safe program to use. you can download it at www.bluestacks.com/. If you have more questions, feel free to ask.

@@belalantos5466 I need to make sure we are talking about the same thing. Are you trying to view the cameras from your phone and you cant see live, OR are you trying to view the cameras from your computer using Bluestacks?

How did you get the battery off to charge it? How long does the battery last?
I struggle with the battery but use brute force to pull it off and to snap it back in. Some times it works out easily but most often, it is a battle. The battery charge time varies drastically depending on how often the camera records. During a windy day, tree branches set off the camera non stop and the battery only lasts a week or two. otherwise, it lasts around a week for us. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us and we will do our best to provide you with a proper resolution.

To be honest, the charge seems to last for a long time (several weeks) and other times, just a week or so. I believe it has to do with how often the camera kicks on. For example, on windy days, our plants around the porch sway a lot and the camera picks up the movement every few minutes. When this happens, the battery wears out much quicker. I hope this gives you a general idea.
@@Poor_Mans_DIY I had the same question so thanks for the response. A follow-up question is, do you have a replacement battery and/or how long does the battery take to recharge?
@@DimpledRae I do not have a replacement battery. As for cjarging, i have numerous rechargeable batteries and this device takes longer than any other to charge... but, it is the size of about three AA batteries so it may be charging them one at a time. Not sure exactly how long it takes to charge as i charge at night and plug it back in , in the morning.
I've been so disappointed on my ring doorbell. I can't save the videos or save pictures even though I had to pay for a sim card separately! I paid over $100 for this and very disappointed with customer service AND their online help ap!!
I am sorry to hear the problems you have had with your Ring doorbell. I do not have a Ring so I am unable to provide a response. I hope things work out.
Couldn't get my cameras of the same brand to stay connected to my wifi
May I trouble you to explain what you did and what errors occured? Maybe I can help. If not, you can contact the Feit helpdesk. They were very helpful when I contacted them once before.
@@Poor_Mans_DIY long story so here goes.
I got them both to work but once I decided to move them, one wouldn't connect after I closed out the app. I boxed up the one that wouldn't connect and the 1 that still was connected eventually wouldn't connect either. They both kept saying connecting to encrypted channel or something like that I forget. Side note when I 1st connected them I had to go to the farthest room away in order for them to connect to my Wi-Fi which is 2.4 GHz I believe. All other feit products stay connected I only have plugins though. Amazon is sending me 2 more different units and I still have to connect them I haven't been home yet for a couple of days.
@@Poor_Mans_DIY update: just got my 2 replacement cameras and same issue, they switch back and forth to which one works and which doesn't for some reason.
@@waaazupd1948 This is just my opinion based on my 30 years as a system administrator. It is possible that you receive two defective products. This happens to even the best computer manufacturers, sometimes things break right away. The fact that you received two new cameras and you still have the same problem, I would look into troubleshooting other possible issues. It might be possible that the Feit software is not compatible with your smartphone or computer. It is possible you might have some Anti virus on your network that is causing the problem or much much more. If at all possible, I would see if you can connect the lights on a friends network and use their smartphone. If it happens to work at your friends, then you narrow the problem down to something on your system (Not saying it is your systems problem, it just might be a simple matter of some other software or configuration that is just not compatible). If it doesnt work at your friends, then I would look at it as confirmation that the cameras themselves are the problem. If that is the case, and if I were you, I would ask for a full refund at that point.
