Lol! I have thought the exact same thing since the first time I saw his videos! I am hooked also! I love how Nate takes care of the cows. I’ll bet he is the same way with his family.
Nice to see that a hoof trimmer is closing in on a million subscribers. You folks are some of the unsung heros of the working class. You do very important work, keeping dairy farms healthy, thank you!
Hey Nate, always love the recheck vids. It's nice to see the happy endings. Would u consider doing a behind the scenes type vid? Showing how u care for the equipment, setting up on the farm, getting the cows to the crush etc. Be interesting to see how that side of things is done, esp knowing u work alone (i know the farmers probs help, but u know what i mean lol). Just a random idea 🙂
My grand-daughter is so intrigued by your videos. She will watch it for 1/2 hr at a time. She does have her own chickens & enjoys all farm animals as we are rural.
Thank you for getting right into the hoof action, and not starting the videos with 10 minutes of music and footage of driving. (if you know you know). Nate's channel is pure hoof trimming. ☺️👍
Thanks Nate for these interesting videos. The care in treating the animals and the patience in explaining your job over and over again is remarkable. Greetings from Argentina
I have an idea.. find a dry erase-board, a small one.. when you put the cow in the head-catch, write her number on the board, so it can be seen when you review your videos. Easy to remember who she was. 😉.. so. I been watching for a few months, love the videos. My family was in the dairy business for 39 years. We didn’t have a full time trim man, we were a small farm.. but you are awesome! Keep ‘em coming!
I really like the recheck compilations! If that wrap had been applied more tightly and stayed on like that for two weeks, what are the potential complications? Thanks for making these videos, they always help me relax while I'm studying!
I’m guessing possible circulation and nerve issues in the foot and corium (tissues that grow new sole hoof and wall hoof) causing swelling and extreme discomfort for the cow/heifer with possible permanent nerve damage (in the best case scenario) and cutting off of circulation leading said tissue to die off and become necrotic (in the worst case scenario). Both are certainly bad for the cow/heifer, but the latter would mean certain death for the animal while the former might be manageable, depending on the severity of the damage. Think of having a bandage wrapped to to tightly around your two biggest toes. It would be quite painful.
i'd think its more about airflow to the affected area. think about a cut with band aide on your finger, you wash your hands but dont take off the band aide for 2-3 days@@artchic528
As you were "popping" off the first rubber block from her claw, she's not flinching at all from you pulling on the block! We ask and wonder does trimming her claws hurt, well if you're pulling on that block and she's just hanging there enjoying her Cud, evidence of how tough those claws really are, and how you are not hurting them in the least. Great job, once again Nate
Fabulous work!!❤ wonderful healthy healing hooves ! Great job Nate The Hoof Guy😃! Oh by the way your voice kinda reminds me of Marty Stouffer from Wild America 🇺🇸 🥰
nate your videos are awesome, interesting enough that i'm not bored, soothing enough that it's great to watch to wind down at the end of the day. plus i can watch when i have a migraine, which is a huge plus. thanks for being you! 😊
I will tell you what really stuns me is how well that cement holds the block to the hoof. It is hard to believe that with all that movement and weight that the cows wouldn't knock that block off in a couple of days.
What I find amazing about you, Nate, is you never seemed to draw blood while working on these animals, such the delicate touch. Viewing other channels with the same content, seems like a daily occurrence with them -- didn't take 3 strokes and blood was drawn. I've watched DOZENS of your videos and I cannot recall one instance seeing this here. Now, I know it happens, and not trying to disparage anyone else. But this what makes you standout from the rest. I'm from the suburbs of Chicago. I have no interest in dairy cows, but as I'm home sick today, your videos have been a source of entertainment for me, I just can't get enough. I'm not sure why. But keep on doing what you're doing. I hope the neck gets better. I'm proud to be one of the million subscribers to your channel. Thank you, and have a great new year. Tamburello 1994.
Can't stop watching your vids... Makes me want to trim hooves. It also makes me hate all the channels doing similar stuff popping up in my feed now, none of them give me the same sense of satisfaction of watching a true craftsman doing thorough work, with obvious and genuine concern for the animal. It's like watching a doctor. Great channel man.
I think I have been watching you since now almost 2 year. And I really enjoy it a lot. It is just so nicely calm and real. No over exaturated thumbnails no unnecessary scream or so. I really love it. There are sadly way to many of the other kind and we really would need more people that make content like you. Thank for making all this Videos
What a treat today! I'm curious if you've got any plans for a celebration when you hit 1 million subscribers? It's pretty cool to see your channel grow as much as it has.
great info on how many things you must do for your customer service when it comes to animals! husky owner with hot spots! mine takes about 3 months for the hair to start coming back like these hooves
Hi Nate, when you come back for a recheck, I've noticed the hoof seems to be a lot darker on the top most part and quickly turnes to the off white color, what causes that? Also, I'd love to see what it looks like on the top side of the hoof when you use the grinder on tip of the hoof!
for the former, i believe the answer is a combination of staining from barn floors and oxidation from exposure to the air. cows will poop wherever and whenever they please, so the barn floors are very dirty. for the latter, i agree it would be interesting to see.
"This looks like my 10 year old son's shoes after he wears it for a couple of weeks" had me dead lol
😂
😂🤣😂🤣😂
Truest statement on the internet. Boys are hard on shoes.
I used to be so bad for ruining shoes and trousers with mud and dirt.
"And that's no good."
Hi Nate. I'm stressed lately. Your calm demeanor and informative nature with occasional jokes and always kindness, all help me get through the day
I hope you can get some good rest and be able to think clearly again soon.

I've watched you for at least 2 years now and my theory still stands. You must be really good at peeling potatoes 😅😂
With a knife or angle grinder ? !
I seriously don't know whether to laugh or throw up. Gonna go with laughing.
I always think of peeling potatoes watching these videos! 😂
@@peg9897same in fact that’s how I described it to my son -only to find out he watches these videos too 😂😂
Lol! I have thought the exact same thing since the first time I saw his videos! I am hooked also! I love how Nate takes care of the cows. I’ll bet he is the same way with his family.
That cow with the blue was just checking you out 😂😂
She was asking how long until it was her turn, she had a massage scheduled afterwards. 😂

That seems like a great idea for his upcoming million subscriber mark
The high speed calves in the background kinda sounded like geese a little bit.
I was thinking sheep but you're right, definitely more geese.
My grand-daughter is so intrigued by your videos. She will watch it for 1/2 hr at a time. She does have her own chickens & enjoys all farm animals as we are rural.
Oh if you guys ever have cows she’ll make sure they’re comfy!
@@mielthebee we do raise our own beef, but we keep her away from them in case she gets attached.
The cow mooing in the background at the 3 minute mark sounds like she has had enough of everyone's nonsense for the day. 😂
Wow 🤩 pretty soon you’ll be hitting the million subs mark!!!
Congratulations 🎉
Great work!!! 👍🏻🙏🙏🙏
He is 1.5 million now!

i gave up on "that" channel. was too much waffle not enough cows lol
I like to see hoof trimming, not eating breakfast and stopping for coffee on the way to the farm.
Oh, we know!!!

The cow looks funny with all the color in the face 😅🐂
Nate rocking out the vids this week. =)
These follow ups showing the original problem are the most interesting!
That was pretty cool. Really liked seeing the contrasts between the different hooves. Also, the powdery dry horn was interesting.
For sure this was one of your best videos. Really well put toghether. Thank you!

Usually the farmer is the one to pull off the wraps.
"Excuse me sir, I know you look busy... but I got this blue stuff all over my face" 😂
Fun fact... paintball guns were originally used by loggers to mark trees and cattlemen to mark cows.
Fabulous video! Hey, I just noticed that you're coming up on ONE MILLION subscribers, Nate!!! Whoo hoo!!!!
Nate is popping blocks and doing wraps!!!
I love it !!!
Interesting video comparison. Enjoy your work Nate.
Nate is truly THE hoof guy. 🐮 ❤

Think of it at trimming your own nails on either your fingers or toes. You won't really feel any pain unless you actually hit the skin or whatever
New guy here. Wow and I thought the pimple pops were addicting!😂😂 So great to watch you help these big girls hooves feel better!
Love the rechecks, especially when they are healing well! Thanks 😊

Love the recaps and follow-ups. Thanks Nate.
They heal remarkably quickly, consider what they tend to be walking in.
Wow so close to 1 million Nate! I recall when you were just at 30k😊 subscribe guys, let’s get this guy his gold play button!❤

Almost to 1 million!! 🥳❤
At least your 10yr old is considerate enough to have his shoes for a couple weeks. My kids run through theirs within days most times😢
The one cow with the green even had her udders painted lmao, poor girl! 😂
does having a block affect the way they walk at all ? is it like a person wearing a platform shoe on one foot ?
Love the cameo of the Braveheart Heifer 😂
you're so gentle and precise with those cuts when you need to be, so much nicer for the cows, u mvp man
Glad they are all doing well!
I don`t really like horses/cows but love ur videos!😃
It looks like the painter went a little crazy on that cows face. Thanks for the video.
As we say in brasil : divo, kingo, entregou tudo.
Nice vids, greetings.

I’ve missed the long-form videos. I don’t like how fast-forwarded the shorts are. And conversely how fast-forwarded the newest long-form videos too.
Kind of fascinating that in just two weeks so much has healed. I really enjoy the recheck and to see the progression.
Four great, great jobs helping healing. Why are there colors like blue, green and yellow on the different heifers? 💚💚
It’s obvious that you are elite at what you do
Are you sure that the cows aren't auditioning for the barn yard theaters rendition of " Braveheart" with that paint😂😂😂....ijs
Yay an 8min long video.. nate let's do 10min or more 😢❤
I was laughing at the hi speed calves right before u said it 😄😄
Have both claws on one hoof ever had an issue at the same time? What would you do in that situation, or is it a really rare or impossible problem?
nice nate love this video
I love the cow 'war paint' : )

High speed cow noises 😂
That blue girl sneaking a peek was cute
Good morning Nate.
What is the blue? Paint? Dye? How long does it last. She was like… helllllooooo let’s get mooooooving here pal.. I got places to be!
I’m coming to appreciate the sound of that one lonely forlorn cow in the distance.
The sped up calves sound like old bike horns.
Hehehe 3:45 “beaoo” “beg” “beoogh”
I thought that was a once in a blue mooooon cow.😂

I'd guess acid burn - salicylic acid (aspirin) would cause cauterisation
Howdy Nate!
Would you ever consider using the Hoof GP's green block glue?
