    After the cows leave the stall, do you ever follow them and pet them? If so, are they generally open to affection -- do they know it's you who fixed their feet, and they're grateful?

    Just wanted to say thank you for putting up these videos. I quite often watch them together with my two youngest sons (5 and 7yrs) old. We started calling the salicylic acid „healing powder“ as I did not know ad hoc how to translate it into German. 😅 They are always feel relieved and happy for the cow when it is applied and wrapped up. 😊

    I'm so glad these cows are in your care. You're always so gentle and careful and methodical. I know with a lot of hooves to trim that time is limited, so I appreciate even more that you don't hack and slash at the feet, but you take your time to get the best and most comfortable outcomes.

    I think what I like the most from these videos is you don’t seem at all concerned with filming, just the cow and their comfort. Like yes you pull out the camera but you are playing around with angles, getting aesthetic shots, etc. you don’t pay attention to the camera- just the cow. I respect that.

      I beg to differ. Nate is just as good as Graeham Parker of Hoof GP. Only difference is, Nate's accent is easier on Yankee ears.

      That's strange, I feel like the hoof GP is too rough on the cows and it feels like he's a youtuber first and trimmer second as opposed to Nate, who feels first and foremost a professional trimmer.@@Cricket2731

    When both front tires are wearing out on the same side it usually means your camber is off and you need to get an alignment.

      For organic vehicles it's usually independent suspension systems, so guessing I'm putting too much weight at the driver's section?

    hi!
    so i have a question:
    once your almost done you (always) place a block on the cows hoof to elevate it so it can rest. i have been wondering if this doesn’t effect in any shoulder problems. i would think this block would result in one of the cows leg being a bit longer then the other. i don’t know if this is true at all but i always think this would cause some problems for the cow since they don’t stand straight anymore but a bit leaned on one side. i would really like to know if this makes any sense at all, or how it works. if anyone knows i am very interested in learning!
    (ps: sorry if my grammer or sentences don’t make to much sense, english isn’t my first language)

    This past week I had surgery and they had me cleanse with chlorhexidine and I was like HEY! Thats what Nate uses!! And I had to chuckle and ask if I was gonna get a salicylic acid wrap. But no one got my joke lol

    Cow: oh my hoofs were in a rough shape Anne, but he fixed the issue... I just need to let them grow so they can be filed next time and things will get better.
    Yeah! He gave me 2 blocks, IKR? Bad shape sis, I tell you, but the best is that I'm pain free.
    He's so sweet, I love the color of the gauze.
    Anne: I love the shape she trims your hoofs, such a natural edge... Love it.

    I have a question! I'm fairly sure it hasn't been answered in full, or I just forgot... But how often do you usually need to go back to the same farms for regular hoof trimming?
    Also, out of curiosity, do you have any stories about cases where you messed up with a cow?

    Hi Nate, Maybe a year ago you went to a farm where a cow had lost her whole hoof capsule, having gotten it stuck in a grate. I wanted to ask … did she grow a new capsule or was she put down? Thanks for the videos my favorite was the cow who seemed to skip and jump following her recheck!

    I have watch your videos for over a year. Do you find that one type of cow harder to trim or they all about the same texture? Holstein vs brown Swiss vs Guernsey. Which is harder in texture?

    i'm curious: is the chlorhexidine you use minty? i ask because i just spent a week in the hospital and they had me use chlorhexidine as an oral rinse. it was *very* strong and minty. (i'm okay now, i think-small-bowel obstruction post colon cancer) ~

    After watching these videos, I almost feel confident enough to do this myself 🤗
    While anything is possible, it’s not likely I will ever have the need.
    Most of my cows arrive chilled on a styrofoam tray.

    i find myself watching your vids a lot to add realism/depth to my DnD worlds, since i've always wondered, would hoofed characters like tieflings and centaurs see farriers? would a bipedal hooved character develop the same problems as cows do? cloven vs single hooves? lots of fun stuff- plus these vids are relaxing to me haha

    See your past videos and then your present videos in where you made indents in the cows hoof before gluing on the block, is the reason for the indents so there is better adhesion and the block won't fall off sooner?

    How do you know when you've taken enough of the sole? I have no idea why these videos popped up in my feed, I grew up with horses but had no exposure to cows. Even still, I can't get enough of these videos. It's so interesting & I'm learing so much (can't imagine when I'll ever use the knowledge but I don't care 😊).

    Recently i had a doctor treat me with a NTHG technique. I had hip replacement and was given a CHLORHEXADINE napkin to scrub with before the procedure. Knew i was in good hands at that point

    She still doesn't look like she feels very comfortable... But it has to be better than what she was dealing with before for sure! My question is about how many cows get hoof, and if you have an opinion and anecdotal thought, health problems comparatively different herds, and is it the same cows over and over again frequently or is it a variety of cows in a herd. And does being so closely genetically related make a difference? I know a lot more about horse hooves than I do cow hooves, and I'm really interested. I also wonder about wild cattle and cattle like bovine and the frequency of occurrence and types of hoof problems they have.
