Thank you!
I own this machine and do to having to flip the wheels for clearance the valve stems are on the inside and very hard to get to. So lowering the tire pressure would not be easy. We will revisit getting the tracks tighter in a future video after I build the tool we need to tension them properly.
Hey Mark, So what did you wind up doing to install the tracks?
Dave Vail
@@davidvail3838 we took them off for now there will be a follow up video. i built the tool they sell on the site (ratchet chain binder) but have not tried it yet
Its Absolutely Amazing ! That Companies like GEHL ! Mustang ! Toyota ! ALL ! Give BOBCAT CLARKE MELROE ! A RUN ! FOR IT !
I've seen this plow setup on another youtubers skid steer. Good work.
Try deflating the tires to about 1/2 the normal pressure, then adjust the tracks and then refill the tires back up. Should make for an easier install and adjust. It works well with installing tire chains for some of us in our tractor club, when were putting chains on tires to plow snow in Va.
Dave Vail.
i am the owner of the machine and will tell you valve stems on the inside not fun to inflate
@@markroderick4111 Hey Mark, I wasn't sure where the valve stems were. I know it can be a pain in the backside to get to them sometimes. but if you could put / get the stems on the outside then I think it would likely work. Dave Vail
@@davidvail3838 i may end up boring new holes to put the valves out but have to be careful of the tubes
The look like they work pretty good. I would of been disappointed when I opened the box though they looked like they were made from used chain.
Don't know if you did or not but whenever I put chains on small equipment I deflate the tires to get that little extra with the bar , then when I reinflate them it makes them that much tighter .
seems to work pretty good
That should work. Seems a bit pricey for 4 pieces of chain and some flatbar, kinda surprised you guys didn't just build em.
He priced it out a bit before hand cost wise. For what he would have paid for stuff some one made 150$ or so in labor. Also every listing the guy has has a warning that the price is about to go up do to supply and cost of steel.
You could easily make a set of these for your "Bulldozer Build" for John!
Along with the Drivetrain from a "Good" Zero-Turn... 🤔
That was what we talked about most of the time working on this.
Does that have a 4cyl Wisconsin engine in it ? If it is they are worth decent money
perkins 4108 diesel in it
Good job
Wicked Good video! :) :)
Let the air oht of the tires and then tighten them up and fill the tires back up
valve stems on the inside not fun
If your running tire chains on a skid steer you only run them on the rear tires. 99% of the time you need traction in the snow is when your pushing and have little to no weight on the front tires.
Nvm I just watched the video lol nice tracks
