8 years later, still listening to this every once in a while: what wonderful Interpretation of an all time classic. The sound, the groove , the solo are magical
yup me too
Me too
Light touch with the thumb, but plenty of percussion.. absolutely love this.. its like listening to the radio in an old car in the 40s
Start most mornings with Brooks, and a cup of coffee and you have a nice day!
With such a nice pocket, it almost doesn't matter what you play. Lovely arrangement!
So great! Tone, melody, phrasing, such a classic song!
Like with all great musicians the otherworldly chops are just means for the purpose to put music first, what a wonderful interpretation
Beautiful from beginning to end
Thanks, Archie! I did another version here: ua-cam.com/video/hNIlU0BQMLE/v-deo.html
I also teach the tune on my instructional channel here: truefire.com/channels/fingerstyle-toolbox/h2475
Thanks for your support!
One of my most favorite Chet style tunes. Very nicely done!
BEAUTIFUL of course!!!
Brooks aka buckets you are the man. i love your music i still remember the talent show from middle school your awesome man
The best version I have heard of this song....Great job and great sounding guitar....
Everyone please notice the control in volume he has. He gets softer and louder at times and it really makes the tune speak out more.
very nicely done Brooks... thank you for posting it...
Great guitar playing can't be beat.
Very nice pickin' there Brooks..Your guitar sounds fabulous, thanks..
Love your music and style
Great pickin' as always Brooks. I love that song. I've watched & played along with Bobby & Buster's YT video of it dozens of times & I always enjoy hearing it played slightly differently.
Nils
Beautiful interpretation. An incredible talent.
Really nice! Made me feel happy.
Thanks for watching, I am glad you enjoyed it!
Super job, Brooks! I'm trying to learn this tune; thank you for posting.
Brilliant picking!
This is probably one of your best. :-) The single note soloing was really nice and I like how you brought the rhythm back just after. Great job Brooks.
Thanks David, I hope you're well!
A magically enchanting tune deftly articulated by this uniquely gifted player.,..
That was so great, Brooks! Beastiful guitar and sound, Henno did a great job, just as YOU!!!
Cheers,
Bernd

Thanks, Mike!
@GreatGuitarMusic Thanks very much Don. Got more new videos on the way. Glad you enjoyed it !
Great playing
Thanks Brooks!! is awesome
hi there - I really enjoyed you rendition of this song as you played it with real musical "niceness" - it was a pleasure to listen to - thanks - beautiful - andrew
@NilsNorling Thanks Nils. This was one of the first tunes I leaned when I was 12 years old. Hope to be playing it for many years to come.
Great cover Brooks!
Sounds sweet to me!
sweet version! Nice take!
Wonderful song, wonderful playing. Thanks for sharing it. If you haven't seen it, check out the end of the memorial concert that Eric clapton organized for George Harrison. They used this song to close the show, and I doubt if there was a dry eye in the house. a very touching moment.
Sir u are awesome!
Great music....play on brother....Don
I love this... the one note solo threw me initially, was not expecting it and the way you returned to the Fingerstyle again was so smooth and perfect. So now my next comment will be... are you planning to do a video with instruction for this ? Terrific job.
@kdbergin thanks, ill be sure to check out the video and rendition you mentioned. Best wishes.
nice variation.
amazing
@Teun Westdorp thanks, I'm very happy with the LaPatrie. It's a Hybrid CW the back, neck and sides are Mahogany. Also I've got to mention the sound of this video would be a different quality if it hadn't been recorded in such an amazing studio. Special thanks to Henno for helping the guitar sound so good.
Nice.
I could listen to you play all day great tone and timing. I really like how you incorporate this style on a nylon string guitar. I hope to have JS teach me this song in the near future... He mentioned you got a new guitar Thursday how do you like it so far? Luke
Thanks Luke! The new Ramirez is sounding great and treating me well. Take care & all the best!
I guess your an old soul, I don't know why someone as young as you isn't playing avenged sevenfold or Guthrie Govan style licks bud God bless you for doing what you do! I know Buster is smiling from above and I know Thom is proud as well! I hope to see you live one day! Take care!
+djon34 I enjoy playing Buster B Jones' songs and Guthrie style licks. Great music is great music no matter what age you are.
+Scott O'Dea great point! Taylor swift to Metallica to Bach to Glass to Davis great music knows no boundaries
I agree felllas! Thats what I love about music! any genre can be fantastic, I may listen to Rachmaninoff or Eddie Van Halen, Or Buster B or Tommy and then the fiance puts on some Mehgan Traynor and I can groove to that to. Aint no wrong choices, Im diggin the black keys lately to! I never know what im going to be into or fall in love with next! Its a journey! And yup you gueseed it I love Journey too!
great
Very good version of this tune Brooks. You also have a verry nice guitar,it sound very warm. Is it the mahogany version from lapatrie?
sweet man. I'd love a lesson on this with your cords.
Great job my friend.
What is the type make and model number of your guitar, and is it classical?
Thanks,
Harlan
@Dani Torre thanks!
I’m revisiting your amazing version. Just beautiful! Do you have tab for this? Or a tab book in general? Thanks

Great playing! I also use nylon, wondering what kind of guitar you're using? Very nice warm sound, beautiful finger work!
Sometimes the shape of the head stock will give a clue as to the maker.
