I love how in depth your content is and how much you are willing to share💕. I reached out to YourBoxSolutions before but was so lost on their design template. Would you mind including going through how you managed that and also what dimensions you use for your auras because he told me I would need a cutting die set up fee which I thought was odd because I was sure you used them for your auras. Did you order a sample before purchasing? The sample quote I got was pretty pricey 😣. But the price of each box after ordering in bulk would greatly bring down my packaging cost which I desperately need. Everywhere else I’ve looked was so expensive because of adding the gold😔. Thank you!!
Hi! The die that I used for the Auras is LB3131 It’s 3.75”x5” Try asking for that. I did ask for a plain sample of the box to make sure it fit correctly. The minimum I believe is 500 boxes and cost depends on quantity and if you want extras like gold foil or embossing. Also I have a professional designer that understands their design requirements so I don’t deal with that. A good designer is worth their weight in gold. They can help with boxes, marketing materials and labels.
Thank you for this video. What are your recommendations for getting into retail stores and how many packs would you recommend on average to have available to send out when a retailer needs it? Love your videos, keep it up very insightful. Thank you
Loved your video and I found it helpful. For your q&a can you address how you someone can get into retail stores? If you think paying lots of money for branding is necessary? I’ll stop here because I can just go on and on lol
Thank you so much for sharing all those valuable information !!! I really love your wax seal, I’m also working on adding them to my candles but they can’t stand the hit, are your made out of pure wax or plastic or maybe something else?? I checked that Etsy shop but they don’t have much information about it, thank you again and congratulations on your amazing work!!
Love your videos! I did think of a question. I'm always fearful of using tins due to the discoloration of the wax factor when using oils with cinnamon, citrus, and vanilla. How did you handle this? Is it just testing and avoiding those fragrances? LOVE LOVE the tins!
I haven’t found that issue with my tins. I know some thinner tins have that problem but the tins I use are quite thick and sturdy. I haven’t had any issues with any fragrance discoloring the tins. The color that’s on the outside is the same inside.
@@HowToLymarie Great news! I’m starting in wedding tins and feel like I have to let each fragrance sit for three months to be sure. It's more of a situation where the tin discolors the wax over time like a rusty look around the edge.
When you change scents how do they know what scents to order from you? I feel like I wouldn’t make any money with all these things I’d need to buy to be a successful chandler. I just started out. Right now it take 9$ to make. That’s with labels, boxes(blank), ribbon, and the candle itself. That’s not including the packing tape and the branding printed on all my stuff. What is your candle pricing if you don’t mind me asking? Do you print your sticker that has all the info on the box you give to the retailers or do you order that? Sorry for all the questions 😂
My retailer orders my signature line - the scents don’t change. I have this line year round. For a luxury candle until you’re able to buy a lot in bulk $9 per candle is an accurate cost. My retailers do not require candle care cards or additional information.
Yes! To get into bigger stores UPCs are necessary. Some retailers will have their own UPCs that they’ll assign to you while others will expect you to provide it.
I can make 200 candles at a time in my studio, I usually know about a large order ahead of time and can make the candles and ship them before the deadline. It’s all about being organized. Making sure you have enough wax, fragrance, labels, wicks etc. planning ahead helps a lot.
@@HowToLymarie I just got my digiboil! Luckily the local store had one left. My friends are surprised I'm making candles as a guy😆. It feels therapeutic for me. Can you tell me what's the most convenient way to pour? Do you just toss any amount of wax in to melt then pour out into a pitcher on a scale or do you weigh what you need to melt and mix the oils all together? I've been pouring onto a scale then mix the oils. I used plastic pitchers and all 3 of them melted holes through the bottom 😑
And thank you so much for sharing these videos to share the knowledge. Especially helpful for a guy that doesn't usually know about this side of products
@@dandee28 I always keep my digiboils full of wax and melt them on pouring days. I do not add fragrance to the digiboil, I measure the amount I need and add fragrance to that. Also I use metal pouring pitchers, they have nice ones at Makesy.com but any metal pouring pitcher will do.
Isn’t that great tape? Took me for ever to find kraft tape that wasn’t water activated! I got it on Amazon ProTapes Pro 184HD Rubber High... www.amazon.com/dp/B00DVB8CAK?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I normally use 9% Fragrance Oil. So if it’s 100g of wax then use 9grams of oil. Sometimes the percentage may need to change because a fragrance is either very strong or not strong enough. The amount also affects the wick so sometimes adding more oil or less will give you better wick performance.
Is there anyway you can do a demo using these tins, wicks, and oil so I can get a better understanding I'm really interested in the soy wax had problems so stayed away

Are UPC's absolutely necessary? I am 1 year into my business and trying to get my products in stores. Wholesale or consignment to start out?
Yes! To get into bigger stores UPCs are necessary. Some retailers will have their own UPCs that they’ll assign to you while others will expect you to provide it.
Can you reuse UPC’s for example seasonal candles?
I would not suggest that. It may lead to confusion later

Does each candle scent have a different upc code (number) or does one code work for all scents since the vessels are the same?
Each scent is separate and must have it’s own UPC. That way stores can keep track of what scents sell

What is your wax to oil ratio per container gor the soy wax in this video I'm interested in using this soy wax please

Do you only use wooden wicks
Currently yes but I’m working on cotton wicks as well
@NokomisHomeFragrance thanks for replying back. I would love to see a video of you testing with cotton wicks.

Really helpful but the music the entire time was a bit annoying for the info your sharing. Little distracting.
