Any similar barbs from various feathers would work as well imo, use what you have! I am quite confident the trout won’t notice! Quite realistic and sturdy! Well done!
100% The Golden Pheasant tail barbs also have more pronounced follicles and thicker barbs than Ringneck. The barbs and follicles on the Amherst tail are typically even larger than the Golden Pheasant, which are great for larger bugs.
