Luckily the RN weren't. We sank 800 of them, we couldn't sink the rest cos they were too shit scared to come out and play at the end of the war.

Of course, In the case of the US it said "show me whats in your pockets, and give me all your money first, If you've got enough to make it worth my while THEN I'll come and give you some help". The UK emptied its pockets, and the US handed them the iron bar without so much as lifting a finger to assist, and Britain then beat off the maniac knifeman alone.

I still wonder if the Axis would have been able to beat the Royal Navy if the Kriegsmarine and Regia Marina worked more closely. The Regia Marina was actually a massive and powerful Navy but the Italian Admirals were kind of cowards.

Royal navy was better with better ship designs and tactics along with training on top of that they barley had fuel to field the Italian navy and in almost every single naval engagement they had the italians had to retreat.

Great footage you dug up, thanks, something like this for other navies would be cool man.
The number of ship sunk by the Germans with sub attacks were crazy throughout the war (especially at the early stages), although their big surface ships seemed more of a waste of resources than anything else considering the Royal Navy numbers of aircraft carriers, battleships, cruisers and destroyers.
The number of subs crushed by the RN during the war was "SO COOL"...... 85% of nazi submariners drowned..... they all went down like lead balloons in their iron coffins.

This trailer is about WW2, but it feels like a modern videogame trailer. Great footage, epic music, it hypes you up... and then the "gameplay" turns out to be disappointingly mediocre. Expectations: cool naval battles, being terror of the sea. Reality: well, you know how it went. Imagine a review: "I didn't pay 60 Reichsmarks for AAA game where I get to play with capital ships only a couple times and then was forced to play with boring submarines for half of the game! 3/10, thumbs down."
Ships then was more beautiful looking .lovely lines..

i consider not using Sabaton's "wolfpack" for the Kriegsmarine's trailer a war crime.
It was the right decision, would commit this warcrime again, instantly. And again.
Bismarck would've fit much better than Wolfpack in my opinion. for Wolfpack to be viable it'd need to be a submarine trailer. It wouldn't make much sense otherwise

Wolfpack still is my fav song, although closely followed by Bismarck and Panzerkampf....

Wolfpack is an awesome song and submarines are quite interesting if I do say so myself (actually visited the U-995 (Type VII C/41) last september and it was quite a thing to look at in person as it is the first museum ship I've visited

as fast we advanced, as devestationg it later became. no supplies, the russian cold and heavily outnumbered when russia mobilised every man they could.
did we lost in northern africa, sure - was the air warfare over britain a waste of ressources, yes - but eventually it was the russians that did the dirty job. without that frontline, where ~80% of german forces were located, there would have been no D-Day in *1944* (when german forces already been technically beaten by the russians)
