Was die Abschirmung betrifft, so ist sie von einem Teil zum anderen unterschiedlich, und die maximale Grenze liegt bei 380 mm seitlich.
Jetzt liegt sie seit 1941 in einer Tiefe von 4500 Metern mitten im Atlantik.
