Yea love this wagon, good idea having the fuel pumps outside the boot, mine are in the boot with the surge tank and it gets so noisy 😂 need to get the panhrd rod too cause the wheel hop feels like the diff is about to snap off hahahaha. Awesome inspo and ideas cheers boss
my 16v carbed 70 has similar rust same places .,,, and the funny thing is its even clean enough in same spots as yours.. everyone falls in love in a patina rolly wanna look something cleaner... just watch the dishes only parts from late century
I have a 83 I think it’s a 1.6 the carb and exhaust is one manifold I’m new to this I just don’t like carb and it’s automatic if I can put the motor you have I’m happy with that
Ok so I can use any 1.6 from that time frame what about intake and exhaust manifold, computer wireless I know I’m asking a lot of questions but I really appreciate your help
The computer will be which ever computer goes with the motor you're using. Or an aftermarket stand alone ecu. Wiring is best to get a new harness from a company like tweak'd or panic.
@@deathwobble I think they were a dealer option but I've seen Toyota brochures for it. Also only seen three yours and two more on Google a blue one and a white one.
Hey man! A lot of builds like these never get finished. Really cool to see this bad boy swing. I have a te72 corolla coupe sedan, also 81. I also came across a 20v with a t50 to replace the 3tc/t40 combo it has currently. All good if youre too busy to answer but I just had a couple questions as i move through my own. Any specific mounts that work? Relay changes to accommodate the ignition with the key? Driveshaft? Looking to do it as cheap as possible ~ it's a cheap beat up economy car that is meant to be driven, similar to yours. Once again I've been following your channel lurking for a few months, just thought I'd give it a whirl. Happy wrenching!
When I swapped mine I used a complete ae86 front subframe, so mounts were just stock ae86. As for using the stock te subframe I'm not sure, but they should be pretty close. My car was originally a 3tc/t50 so my stock driveshaft was stock. I have swapped to an ae86 driveshaft now, but only because the u joints were better
Love the build! Helps motivate me to work on my 1980 wagon when I see other cool wagons! What did you do to the leaf springs so you only had to use a 2" block? I'm using a 3" with worn leaves.
Have a better ideal can you go through the whole swap part by part wire by wire the reason I ask is I have the same car and I would like to make it fuel injection
😂 it's a pretty common swap. It's a very over priced swap in today's market though. If you have a 3tc in your car it'd be easier and cheaper to make this much power with that motor
I bought a 1979 Toyota Corona wagon and it had your sticker on the back window now im here. Sweet car man i dig it
Nice! Welcome
Man i love how you just made things work on this wagon. Such a rad build 🤘 . Hope my wagon turns out sick too
Get to it!
Finally able to find ur page. 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Great video! I am a huge fan of this car. Makes me miss my 81 Toyota pickup so bad.
My dream car. Respect bro. From New Zealand.
It's been a fun ride
I love the look of this wagon. It looks like a really fun car.
It's been a great project!

Yea definitely prefer having as much fuel system as possible outside the car 😅
So Yota's are still alive here in Georgia? Nice way to wake up the neighborhood. Outstanding!!
Toyotas never die 🙌
Man i got one today hopefully next will be a nice wagon.
Gotta catch em all
Those cars are gold man 💪🏼
I do love it
That thing is sick man, I need exactly that driveline.
Normally wouldn't recommend the 20v. But it is great in this car
@@deathwobble Why wouldn't you recommend the 20v? I have a KE70 and trying to decide between 16v and 20v.

They're great fun. Funny how they seem to rust the same ways too
Easily my favourite Rolla.
That thing is so sick
It's really turned into something special
Such a rad car man!
Thank you!

The 83 came with a 4ac so the 4age swap is even easier. Basically any swap and swap parts for an ae86 will fit your car.
Damn now i miss my 2tc te-72 wagon now😭
Man...love that wagon
Nice car bro.. My favorite car.

Hey I’m curious about the wilwood rear disc conversion, can you point me in the right direction for more info, thanks man!
It's not an off the shelf setup. It's parts from circle track cars kind of hobbled together.
BADASS friend 🏁🏁🏁🐺🇨🇷🇨🇷🇨🇷
Does it bolt up or do you have to change the bell housing
The bellhousing is for a 4ag and the engine is a 4ag
I wonder just how rare the wood panel wagons are?
Only every seen 3. One on Google images, one in the movie maleficent, and mine. Idk if they were a dealer thing or if Toyota produced them that way
@@deathwobble I think they were a dealer option but I've seen Toyota brochures for it. Also only seen three yours and two more on Google a blue one and a white one.
You didn't tell em the best part about those wheels!
beautiful
Thank you!
Damn! Iv never seen a woodie!!!
There is on in the movie maleficent I think
So what year engine should I use is it a 1.6 or a 1.8
The 4age was sold from 85-97. They are 1.6. Lots of different variants through that time period.
Question what transmission did you use
It's an ae86 t50
Where did you purchase the rear wheels ?
Found them on the internet
Nice car.my car dx wagon ke 72.my favorite car.👌👌👍👍
Love the wagon. Did you mention what your rear end setup is? Welded?
I daily drive this car, so I usually keep an open diff in it. On occasion I throw a different diff in that has a spool in it.

As for the wiring, there's a ton of switched 12v wires in the harness that come from the right side of the engine bay.
God this thing is so damn cool
🙌

The center leaf was removed from the pack, flipped upside down, and re-installed on the top of the pack to flatten the arch.
@@deathwobble I'll have to give that a try when it's not in the 30's outside lol
More vids bro!!!

how did you lower the rear
By rearranging the leaf springs in the pack, and using lowering blocks
This man is breathing in the Exhaust Fumes roof Racks are sex!
What’s going on man I can’t find a manual transmission and pedals to save my life do you are anyone in the comments know of any
The clutch pedal is the same as ae86. Just join groups on Facebook, and keep an eye on marketplace
Do u sell the van
The Toyota van? I still have it
Siickk
nice TE if you wanted to do a cop setup you can use cops from a 2006 civic and they fit under the cover
Helpful info 👌
Ok cool
👌

Not bad
