I was so hoping Rossi could've got the lead and the win. Now even though Dixon is not my favorite at all, unless he was with a different team cause I can't stand Ganassi, he's a master and none of the other drivers know how to save like he does cause he's driven champ cars, the IRL NA cars and now back to turbocharged missiles. Everything is gonna really change up once the hybrid components are put in and the tired start degrading faster cause of the added weight.

The start was actually cool to watch in a way. How these cars did not crash on the first lap is amazing.
Also, there was a time when IndyCars didn’t have a reverse gear, and more often than not, they needed a push to get rolling because of the lack of low-end torque. Otherwise you would either stall the engine or you’d really have to rev em up to take off. Yeah, I still miss the tiny turbocharged V8’s of the 80’s and 90’s. But I actually like these spec cars of today.

CART era...In 1993, Nigel Mansell did the unthinkable. After winning the 1992 Formula 1 championship, Mansell flew to America and won the ’93 Championship Auto Racing Teams (CART) Indy Car World Series championship for Newman-Haas Racing at the age of 40. With the wins, he became the only driver to hold both major open-wheel titles at the same time.

Some people forget that rain and wrecks is what makes motorsports interesting. I'm thankful IndyCar does everything- race tracks, ovals, street circuits. What, you want it to be like F1? One car winning every race with zero action or rarely any passing? I'll take this.
