Blender 2.8 PBR Texturing for Beginners
Вставка
- Опубліковано 4 лис 2024
- This is a #Blender 2.8 PBR texturing tutorial for beginners and I show the very basics of texturing a simple mesh (plane).
I use 3 textures: Albedo, Normalmap, Roughness that I downloaded from this page for free:
www.textures.c...
For Layer Painting in Blender you can use this addon: gumroad.com/a/... (affiliate link). I added the textures to a Principled Shader in the shader editor to create a PBR material for the model.
☕️ Buy me a coffee - would be nice: www.buymeacoff...
I display the texture in Eevee realtime renderer and also show how to play with the roughness using a color ramp to make the material look like it's wet.

Thank you for your small but informative tutorial and for displaying the buttons, the mouse.
A tutorial on the projection of View (Borders)? would be really nice *!* 🌺
I have just subscribed to your page. 😎
Thx m8. Could you explain a bit more in detail what you mean by "projection of View (Borders)".

Thanks.
Using a picture and displaying it on a mesh.
I would like to convert a picture into 3 D .
So I thought I have to bild a mesh and then copy a picture on it.
I guess it can be complicated but step by step.
@@cloudcloud1 Basically it is the same approach that I showed in this video
@@JayAnAm
Probably conceivable for you but for a beginner 😥
COOL, check out this too ua-cam.com/video/kXTKgQWLekM/v-deo.html
You are one among disastrously breathless youtubers that know how to make a real tutorial with precise pauses.
:-) Thx
I made my cube look more realistic, thanks!
Lol
Cube is life
Exatamente.
Once again an excellent tutorial. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge!
To speed your process (without importing textures manually) do the following at 01:39
1 - Select the principled BSDF
2 - SHIFT + CRTL + T
3 - Select all the textures involved
4 - Click 'Principled Texture Setup'
Boom! :)
Finally!! Someone that explains texturing process fast, easy and updated. Thank you!!
I understand everything from the beginning to the end. Thank you so much!!!!
That's great!
I really appreciate the amount of effort you put into giving every little detail including which buttons to press
Alright, great you like it.
This is one of the detailed tutorial ever
Legend.
Amazing tutorial ...after watching 3 others this was by far the easiest to understand
I started using Blender this week, and I was trying to learn how to do this kind of thing, but I had no clue how PBR textures work at all. A minute after I followed every step of your instructions I was like: oooohhhh... so THAT'S how this works! lol
Your video helped so much, I can't thank you enough man. Cheers!!
i always end up coming back tot his tutorial, so useful
Very easy to learn with you. Straight to the point. I hate when im watching a tutorial and they go over simple common sense stuff like how to move your object.
For 2.8, Andrew Price was there for six years. I learned all about it. And now nothing to be found since 2.8 And then I found you! This is the first video I have seen of you now. I just saw that you made a lot more. Thanks! We can continue to make even better animation. Thank you again! Greetings from the Netherlands. Cindy
I agree andrew price just rambles and rambles teaching nothing IMO but this guy is awesome!
Man, I've been using blender for like a 2 months in my job, and I used to think that normal map is just for transfering image data to normal data. Since I first used strenght setting in normal map node i felt like a blessing. That's the thing that I was searching for a long time to bring detail without using displacement. I am really gratefull for this video, it's like a blessing. I hope you have a nice day and keep up with this godly videos.
This is excellent. More of this please :)
Ok, great you like it, will do!
Absolutely Brilliant! Many thanks, Jayanam.
really appreciate , all tut makers just explain the animation part and leave the texturing to u , and a beginner like me , has no clue how to use these textures on websites, ty for this nice tut
