I lived in Ridgefield 21 years & was introduced to it by friends from NYC who had a weekend place in Redding. Lovely town; I took that same route closely 50ya. Ups & downs, it was
a positive part of my life. I was a lucky man, and it's still beautiful.

Wow! I drove through both of these towns, but never from one to the other. This trip evokes dozens of memories, and a question. When you turned onto Umpawaug Road, I looked up Umpawaug and found no definition. The Paugussetts lived in this part of Connecticut, and the colonists borrowed many of their words as names of rivers and towns. The Wepawaug River in Milford meant “narrow crossing,” so this word may be related. This is a drive through a great deal of history. Thank you for screening it!

I resided in the Town of Ridgefield for three decades and both my sons grew up here & went about their now successful lives - I am in Port Saint Lucie, Florida under sunny skies all the time.

You could have taken Florida Hill

As a kid we loved riding down that hill in our bikes going as fast as we could. I'm surprised none of us ever crashed!
