Live in West Virginia Appalachia now ..where America still exist..haven't been to Lowell in 7 years . Am from Billerica but hung around the DLKV . I miss everyone from there . I heard it's a laundromat now
Looks like the most boring place to live
No! Norway Yes! Snowway
Breathtaking
I got the F out of there. It's actually not that nice of a place. Missed few streets BTW. Pine st. and Russell are connected ghettos that don't like each other. Coleman st. Crackhead central. A block away from courthouse is opioid district. People living in the sewers. I could keep going, but I'm sure ya get the point
Where my ancestors are from 😍

I was once warned by a Latin guy never to go there
Started out in Springfield
I’ve been living here for 36 years and never seen so many homeless and beggers before. It seems it’s been escalating since the pandemic. Property taxes are ridiculously high, you do some home improvements and get penalized with a tax increase, very discouraging.
New Stadium, New Arena, Rapid Transit and True North projects appear to have been falling to their projections and target to the Provincial economy. Currently there's been several businesses closing their doors. Sometimes pictures don't necessarily represent realities. So sad.
I remember coming into the old Bus Depot in the 70's to go Christmas shopping from Stonewall where I lived. Between Eaton's and the Bay there was wall to wall people! And now , when I come into the city twice a year for doctors appointments I stop and get two corned beef on rye with hot mustard from Oscars Delicatessen on Hargrave...and I go north and turn left to go west on Portage...and there's hardly anyone there...except BUMS!
Very nice!!!
Thanks!
Down town is a joke
U don’t know nothing
@@js4887 In summer the homeless are putting up tents at the front of Air Canada, most businesses shut down after the pandemic, it’s been turned into a hunted place.
That's my town , and I love it , though I'm done with winters . Let's say that love it for 7 months of the year .
Je suis ne a st-jean
Looks like a clean city with nice houses looks good 👍
Thanks, I agree!
Nice trip …
Glad you liked it!
Miss my old home. :(
Well, Winnipeg’s motto used to be ‘Gateway to the West’. Winnipeg’s motto today and displayed on highway signs as you enter the city is ‘Made from What’s Real’. Somebody, anybody what the bloody hell does that even mean? From a many decades old easy to be proud of and even easier to understand it being a geographical fact to this stupid word gibberish? Who came up with the idiotic idea in the first place? Even more concerning, who thought it was a good idea and supported it? I’ve brought this issue up with my councillor who happens to agree. I don’t think he was even aware of the change even though it came about years ago. Now the question is, will anything be done about bringing back the original?
I guess the old motto sounds too colonial? Winnipeg just seems like one of those cities that read to deep into words.
“Made from whats real is just a nicer way of saying than the REAL truth like … Welcome To….“The Stabbing and Murder Capital of Canada” Just the facts ma’am!
I don’t recall seeing those signs … travelling in any direction from there
@ Start with the ‘Welcome to Winnipeg’ sign (been there for years) on #1 highway eastbound from Headingley into Winnipeg. Just before the traffic lights at Chapel Lawn cemetery. Can’t miss it.
@@rossmoore9931 yes at different entrances to Wpg. “ Welcome” signs etc. 😊
Kind of looks like West Virginia
34:22 This back road up to the top of this mountain called «Tinnheia» («Pewter Hill») used to be called «Promilleveien», «Pro Mille Road» which really means DWI Road. People who had a little too much, took that road rather than the main road in the old days… Now they will not get away with that…👏🙌👍 We have very strict rules on drinking and driving, 0.02 % or as we say it 0.2 Promille (per thousands, not per hundreds), hence «Promilleveien». When driving intoxicated, the slang here is«driving with promille»! Anyways, you can NOT drink and drive AT ALL here in Norway, the little allowance is just so you can use Listerine or eat a cognac chocolate before you blow in the breathalyzer, it is not an allowance for even a glass of beer!!! No alcohol before driving!!! Get a taxi!!! 44:13 To the right here, is actually where «Promilleveien» starts or ends, depending on how you see it… Driving down there, you will get to parts of Hannevika - very charming place with «Eigevannet» («Oak Lake», a small body of water that has given the (real) name of the road «Eigevannsvegen» («Oak Lake Road»). Actually one road there was an exhibit «Build for the Future» in 1964 or -65, if I remember correctly. Some of the houses did not have space for a fridge in the kitchen, as they had a nice, big walk in fridge behind the kitchen! That was quite fancy for the time. ❤❤❤
32:36 If I remember correctly, without seeing it with my own eyes right now: Just in the road on the right side here, on a little top, so it is higher than the road itself, is where Crown Princess Mette-Marit’s childhood home was (still is, but I don’t think anybody in her family lives there now)… 🤗❤❤❤
