This is one of the main reasons why I never get into superhero comics. Without videos like these is almost impossible for a new person to know how to start. Omar is doing gods work lol I still prefer manga. Wanna know how to start a series? Pick up volume 1 and go from there lol
Manga is sooo much easier man, although... I will say I've been getting hella comments on my Alita box set video asking me how Last Order and Martian Chronicles are meant to be read..... oh shit. It's happening there now! :)
@@NearMintCondition lmao I guess some series are also branching out. I know My Hero Academia has a side manga too. And obviously theres Naruto and Naruto Shippuden. We so desperately need a Bruce Jones omnibus. I don’t care for many Hulk runs and that’s including PAD who is one of my favorite writers, but Bruce Jones captured the kind of Hulk stories I’ve envisioned. Mysterious, sci-fi and horror.
Hi Omar, thanks very much for creating these reading guides. After WW Hulk, do you think the Greg Pak HC's will get reprinted or is it more likely that the rest of his full run will be printed in omnis? Fall of the Hulks and WW Hulks are both very expensive on aftermarket sites but would love to continue reading this story after WW Hulk and Hulk x Loeb & Mcguiness.
I love the Hulk. I've been reading this whole run on and off for the last few years trying to get a complete collection. I remember when I started thinking how confusing it was the closer I got to modern stories because they'd have the same title and a new number one after two or three volumes. Sigh. Anyway, great vid! Shocked that Immortal Hulk is getting a HC, I can never tell which ones Marvel is going to upgrade haha.
Thank you so much, but the reason I do these is because I was confused as crap when I first started out too. :) Yeah so happy to see Immortal as an OHC.
Great video!! Actually, Hulk was never one of my favourite heroes. I read some of the Mantlo/Sal Buscema run and it was a good one. But I'm seeing a lot of good stuff there, judging from your videos. Planet Hulk and World War Hulk are on my to-read pile, so I'll have some catching up to do.

I hope Pak's followup to World War Hulk (incredible hercules and hulk) get omnibus treatments to complete his run. I will buy them day 1. I heard nothing but good things from your discussions in Omnibros. Thank you for the reading order. Nice to get exposure of runs that are worth looking into.
hey man, so I am trying to avoid spoilers and seeing inside all of these before reading. The order that you have them in the beginning of the video is the actual reading order we should follow? I'm looking to jump into The Immortal Hulk, so should I get the Omega books? Also, Hardcover volume 2 of Immortal Hulk is impossible to find, so should I just get the TPs of Hulk in Hell and Abomination?
What's the order of the issues in the World War Hulk Omnibus? Are the Incrdible Hulk comics by Pak included between the issues of World war Hulk? I can't find this information anywhere and you have no overview of this volume
@NearMintCondition, Omar will you ever do a She-Hulk reading order including other collected editions and crossovers she's in? I'm working on collecting all the stories she's in. An Omar reading order would really help.

Thank you my brother. I can work on Thor! :) I think that it was pushed back until this month? I don’t think marvel would cancel it, that’s more of DCs game.
Hey omar! Hope you are doing well! I know im commenting on an older video but do you know of how i can collect the stories that are included in the world war hulks ohc? I can't find that book for less than $130 so i was trying to see if there was a cheaper way to get the story. If you happen to know that would be awesome if not its no biggy, Thanx!
Kind of curious why the Hulk: Dogs of War hardcover is not considered an omni. It's 832 pages long which is longer than other omnibuses. I actually enjoyed that run quite a bit and am thinking about getting it. But more than anything I just want some PAD Hulk omnibuses since the Visionaries I don't own are too expensive to even consider when you can get the original issues so much cheaper.
Based on future solicitations it looks like Marvel is bringing back the OHC format. Which they swore to kill off. So it's not an Omnibus, but bigger than some omnis with a an omnibus price. :)
Great overview of the jolly green giant! I would also enjoy an appraisal of the series with Hercules (which had over-sized hard covers!), Amadeus Cho and all of Hulk's relatives. Some of the relationships didn't make a great deal of sense to me at the time, and I can only imagine how confusing it is for new readers. I also appreciated the love for Bruce Jones' run on the Hulk, which is one of my favorite periods. A couple of nice over-sized hardcovers, back when Marvel was releasing books in that format more liberally. That series seemed to be Bruce Jones' update of the Hulk tv show, with a similar emphasis on Banner crossing the country. Speaking of Bruce Jones, Omar did you pick up the new James Warren biography, "Empire of Monsters" by Bill Schelly? I'm halfway through it; a very entertaining look at this influential publisher, who was quite a character. The book also has a lovely spine, featuring a menacing Tor Johnson.
No i haven't, but being a fan of Warren books, I'm curious what kind of person he is. So Hercules did have one and only one OHC, which sucks, because that series is great and deserved more praise than it got. Thank you so much for watching and commenting, my brother.
