It's extremely satisfying to use a heat knife to cut plastic sleeves down to the exact size you need. Then you also get little narrow extra bags in case you ever wanted to include anything else, would work well for pens or bookmarks.
Can we talk about the fact that you inserted subtitles to the video? UA-cam’s subtitles aren’t always correct and I often have to watch videos w/o audio so thank you so much❤️
Cmd + D to duplicate after the first would do the aligning/spacing for you. I'm a daily Canva user, and find this one of the best beginner Canva videos I've seen - great introduction for anyone, well done :)
Thank you for the video! I decided to make these as teacher gifts for my kids this year! I plan to have my kids each design their own graphic for the top, and help with the assembly. I love the idea of teacher gifts that can be used up and not kept forever. I think the only extra thing I will have to buy is the cutting mat and a good exacto knife, though doing it with scissors is certainly still an option.
Thank you for sharing this video. I have a smallbased business and looking for ideas that I could make in bulk vs one off order requests. This is something that I'd like to look into adding to my Creations. I love how you take inspiration for your geographical area which will catch the eye of local customers. Thank you!
Thank you for this video! I’ve always wanted to create a personalised one for myself and for friends, you’ve made the steps so simple and easy to follow 🙂
Big big thank you for sharing the entire process from start to end with every bit of detailing❤and loved how you payed attention to every detail for making it crisp and neat!!
Of all the video tutorials I've watched here, yours was the most detailed and straightforward. Super helpful and satisfying to watch. Thank you so much and more power to your business!
You truly inspired me! I think I'll be making some personalized ones for loved ones, for the holidays. Don't know why I never thought about making notepads in Canva! Thanks for the tutorial!
You're a fantastic teacher. Your notepads are darling! Those must be a labor of love. I can't imagine your price recouperates your fabrication costs. Lucky customers! So cute
I just paid 20 for a cash breakdown note pad I love note pads so happy I found this video will definitely be doing lots on my own thanks so much you really helped
This is wonderful. You could also print different designs on one page (like a wide and a skinny and a bookmark) to make use of the space and make easy cut lines
i have been on procrastinating on making notepads as i have never made them before but after watching this video the process is so much easier than i thought! i appreciate how you broke down the steps and made such a detailed video! thank you so much ☺ definitely subscribing to your channel 🤍
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you found it helpful. I was definitely intimidated at first too, but after making a couple test notepads I realized it was actually pretty straightforward ☺️ Good luck with yours!!
I love this so much. I've been really wanting to start my own stationery business and this is really helpful in seeing how to make these!! Thank you so much - you've got a new subscriber for sure 😊
Im here flipping tables!!!! you made it sooooo easy to do!! im surprised I did it following your instructions!! (english is not my native language) and Im here creating some merch for my crafted candles store and I dont have to pay to design this note pad!!! love you so much!!! thanks a lot!!!
First time watching your channel here. I am very thankful for this tutorial, it is very generous of you showing us the whole process and offering us your tips and tricks. It was great seeing how you make a quality product cutting by hand. We are a pretty large family and you inspired me to make birthday reminder pads. Thanks a lot. Regards from México!
Hi Rebecca...I pretty much made a To Do List note pad while watching your video. You give very easy to follow instructions and I also learnt a couple of things about Canva along the way. Thank you for this video. 🙏
I’m thrilled to find great Canadian content on UA-cam. As soon as I saw the Peggy’s Cove notepad I knew I’d found it! I will be hunting down your shop! Your NB neighbour. Xoxo
Today I got your video as a suggestion and I was delighted with your work and explanation, thank you very much, very good gift for these upcoming holidays.
Oh my goodness. I just happened onto your video. I am in Cape Breton ! I love your instructional videos. Thank you for Sharing. Love & Blessings from Nova Scotia, Canada 🇨🇦 xo
Let me just say I love this video. I came across this video based on my watch history and I’m glad I did. The way you explained everything was perfect your video is the first I can honestly say I know how to make a to do list note pad thingy lol with one watch. I just automatically subscribed after this video lol without even watching anything else on your channel.
You had me at R...haha. Then you threw the L at me and I lost it! Thanks for a great & motivating video. I learned more about Canva than I ever knew! Also, I am totally adding notepads to my handmade crafts. I do not know why I never thought about it before...💞
Thank you for this tutorial! Very detailed! I am having a hard time using lines etc in Canva! This helped a lot! I will try it later for my notepad! Thanks! 😊
You can do it! I agree the lines are a little tricky, holding shift while moving them can help keep them straight - I hope your project turns out great! 🥰
Thank you thank you so much I was trying to learn something new that I can also sell. And you were amazing just an answer to my needs. its my first video watching you and i have subbed!
I just bumped into your video and Loved your tutorial! ❤ It is very well delivered and informative. I haven’t used Canva but I think I will check it out. I appreciate your sharing with us. Thank you . 😊
I just created my design thanks to this video. I'll make a couple suggestions though. Maybe state which create a design you used. Because there's different parameters for each item canvas had to offer. I finally found landscape flyer and used that. Also choosing a three column page was helpful in lining up the sections to cut. And I found a way to clean up and evenly space the lines. Can't explain how... I am not as good as you. But they offer a tool to do it. You just got to find it. But thank you so much! These where the missing elements I needed for my stationary gift set for my family. What a pen kit without paper to go with it? Lol
Thanks for watching! I always just use a custom canvas on Canva, so I set the size to my printer paper instead of using one of their project templates. But whatever works! :)
It's extremely satisfying to use a heat knife to cut plastic sleeves down to the exact size you need. Then you also get little narrow extra bags in case you ever wanted to include anything else, would work well for pens or bookmarks.
Which brand heat knife do you use?
Can we talk about the fact that you inserted subtitles to the video? UA-cam’s subtitles aren’t always correct and I often have to watch videos w/o audio so thank you so much❤️
Thank you! I am trying to update all my videos to have accurate subtitles!
What do you create the subtitles in? Editing software or on UA-cam itself? Thanks
Ur welcome
Cmd + D to duplicate after the first would do the aligning/spacing for you. I'm a daily Canva user, and find this one of the best beginner Canva videos I've seen - great introduction for anyone, well done :)

Love this video, but a Question for you…Can’t you turn the chipboard horizontal and cut 3 pieces the same width as the paper?
Oh yeah I am much more tactical with my chipboard when I am not filming tutorials lol don't worry!
