I started using the paper you use for your own notepads, and I agree that they are very nice to write on, but I found that if I scratch the design or rub the design, the ink comes off and does a little smear on the paper. It does this after it prints and cools down(it’s been a few days since it’s been printed). Does this happen with your notepads? I use a canon pixma ix6820 Also thank you for your tutorials. They are the most helpful!

Hi! I haven't had any issues like you've described with the paper, how strange... it sounds like there's some problem with the ink on the paper, but I don't know why. I use this paper/ink combo for everything (notepads, stationery, art print inserts, etc.) and they all hold up really well. I'm sorry you're having this problem! :( but thank you so much for watching!

What kind of printer do you have? Mine won’t accept watercolor paper because it’s too thick. I’ve tried so manny times and it just won’t take anything thicker than a medium cardstock sheet. I was bummed too to find that out the hard way especially when I just upgraded my printer to a more expensive one that was a refillable ink tank one. I the then tried to take it to Procreate and then into Design Space to have my Cricut draw it out for me directly onto the watercolor paper in pencil, but then I ran into problems with converting the files over from procreate into Design Space and would mess up my designs one way or another. It’s been frustrating to say the least and IDK what I’m doing wrong there. Also, what kind of paper do you use? You mentioned your costs are about $5/kit but I’m wondering what paper you use to be able to use more than one piece of paper per kit since I know watercolor paper can be expensive especially if you use 100% cotton paper.

Rebecca, I recently found your channel through one of your informative videos and I really appreciate the care you put into them. They are packed with useful tips, and I enjoy seeing your process. You speak confidently and genuinely, without the exaggerated claims that are so common in "how I make a living" videos. But discovering your personal side has been a pleasure as well! So I would say keep doing both types of videos as long as you are comfortable with it. Your community-building efforts are worth it, in my opinion. Isabelle

Thank you for showing your card production work flow. I really like that mermaid artwork as well as the baking card near the end. I do see some differences to how I make my cards in my own greeting card video. It is good to see different approaches to the making of greeting cards. Out of curiosity, are 5 x 7 inch greeting cards quite common in Canada? Here in South Australia, they're usually 4 x 6 inches so that is the size that I make mine.

It came out to like $27 with following the steps... But I have no idea where a comprable item would be? Send help! lol - Kimi

Rebecca, I am just seeing your video. I print greeting cards also. I searched for a long time for quality paper that would make my cards look store bought. Red River paper is FANTASTIC! They ship international. You can buy in bulk from them. Once I discovered them, that is my go-to for paper. They sell different sizes and the 1-sided gloss along with the matte (which isn't bad either). Also, laser paper is different from ink jet paper. Some paper you can use on both, but it must specify that on the package , otherwise, you will get the bleed. When you are look I ng for supplies for your cards, if you type in your search bar "greeting card" paper or "greeting card" sleeves, it will pop up more suppliers for you. Hope this helps.

I watched something recently that said when you’re starting out you need to be the “sidekick” (the viewer get to be the main character) and offer more content that offers the viewer something (you-based content), and you sprinkle in your you-ness 😂and shift into a more “main character” (me-based content) where your viewers just watch everything because they feel more like your friend/fan (I guess). I don’t know if that makes any sense (it’s hard writing a short summary 😂) It all seems to be a balancing act. Just keep posting 🤗

If you were going to add in bleed, you could either use the Bleed feature in Canva (I don't usually use this so not 100% sure how it sets things up) or export your design as a PNG then create a new Canva design with the bleed added and import that original image to it. I hope that's helpful!
