Hi first timer here! I am a bit confused. What was the first app you used to get the Hebrew and Greek numbers? The "blue letter bible app" has the lexicon tab as well but some of the numbers were different. Does that matter? Also, if the word occurs 46x's should I look for 46 definitions? Sooo sorry if these are crazy questions! I think this was a lot of information at once since I'm not familiar with bible word studying at all.

Also, I am doing this on a laptop and trying to follow along step by step, but it looks a bit different.

Draw, from John 6:44, tribulation from John 16:33. It’s nice knowing the much fuller definition of a word or even knowing the shortly in revelation 1:1 doesn’t mean 2000 years later. Imagine if you told your kid I’ll be there shortly to pick you up from school and you were a day late? They translated it shortly from the Greek because they mean shortly. I have the scriptures to all this stuff on my phone just in case anyone is interested

Just a suggestion but check out the word “kept” in 1 Peter 1:5 and let me know what you find

I do word studies too but I pull up all the scriptures with that word and I keep my studies on a note app on my phone. I kind of let the chips fall where they may. At least 3 times I’ve tweaked my understanding of scripture. Not necessarily changed it but adjusted it. I remember the last one. I wanted to check and see the the “perfect” was Paul was talking about in 1 corinthians, when that which perfect has come, that which is in part will be done away with. I thought it was the complete canon of scripture but it’s not. If you think revelation will be fulfilled and the great tribulation is in the future check out the word “shortly” in revelation 1:1 or “this generation”. Not one time is the phrase this generation used and it mean anything but the generation the speaker is speaking to. I have a ton of stuff on my phone. What I find interesting is you can prove to someone from the Bible what they believe is wrong and they seem to love what they believe so much they refuse to even reconsider they are wrong. I have a cousin who thinks we are in the great tribulation. I said Jerusalem isn’t surrounded by armies. What do we do, catch a flight to Israel so we can flee to the mountains? I sent her the list of every mention in the Bible of “this generation” and she won’t even look
