So nice worlds from a champion to another, gentlemen both.,and the fans were amazing singing happy birthday to Seb, he will remember this day for ever, happy for him
Seb’s a good guy. Mansell was a beast; people tend to forget he was battling the likes of Senna, Prost, Piquet, Rosberg, Lauda, and others. And remember when he pushed his out of fuel car over the finish line on 105 degree heat in Dallas?
Nigel Mansell is my all time favourite driver. Always thought he was better than Prost and Senna. Sebastian Vettle is my favourite driver on today's grid both such nice gentlemen and top class legends. Was so nice of Seb to bring that glorious fw14b to Silverstone what a car.
I feel that Mansell was the one who really pushed Senna to the limit of what he could do. Senna and Prost are obviously the ones with the infamous rivalry and I feel that until 1993, their rivalry boiled over to the point where they would become too aggressive with each other. But the battle between Senna and Mansell are just as good, where they're both pushing each other hard, but not to the point where they hit each other (most of the time at least).
To me, Nigel was a great talent in F1. He started late, financing his own career, quitting his job to become a full time racer. Had back injuries and kept racing. If he started has a kid like Senna and had the same commitment (Nigel would go golfing after leaving the car while Senna would attend the debriefing of his team mates), he might have been even more sucessful than Senna!
@@ecioalves4690 absolutely, he was very unlucky not to have been at least a triple world champion. 86, 87, had the car been more reliable in 91, and if he had stayed on in 93, he most certainly would have successfully defended his title.
Our Nige is a legend. Met him at Goodwood FOS 2 weeks ago. Such a down to earth and humble guy who couldn't do more to spend time with his adoring public
Extraordinary driver, spectacular, only unlucky in F1, but still has 31 wins, 32 poles, 1 F1 title and another in Indy Car, obtained on the first attempt, A true champion.
It's good to see Nigel again ... he has become a very humble man, although I loved his passion and fight back in the day. No one better to drive his car than Seb.
Authenticity all the way around. Mansell. Vettel. Winners in racing, winners in living. And the FW14B. The real thing. Bravo to Seb for putting that together.
That beautiful car is in the best possible hands in Vettel's ownership. He loves the period it came from, the duccess it achieved and he has the, skills, technical knowledge, contacts and money to look after it's needs. Nigel and Sebastian would make a good team to demonstrate the car more times in the future. Two legendary drivers and a legendary car.
Dorian, I did see them in person from the 76’until 10 years ago and let me tell you that from the 90s on back they were very small… and that SOUND…unreal in person. Amazing to see them drive the hell out of them. Go see them at vintage races. Cheers
We still love Nigel, A world champion and a sportsman. An excellent ambassador for his sport. A modest and grounded gentleman. Also an ambassador for Britain. The man is a legend for all of the right reasons. Big respect to Roseanne as well. Behind every successful man, there is a good woman.
Nigel was an amazingly tough gutsy driver in his day and could have won several titles but he came up against Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna. Sebastian Vettel is not just a multiple world champion and a real gent. I'm very impressed by his choice of car.
Nigel is the most entertaining driver ever ... criminally underrated ... once he had the dominant car every one enjoyed before, he showed them who is truly made of ... 1992 was the year of dominance driver records for a long time
I saw seb driving this car on a demo, I shed many tears. Absolutely insane; even though I was born after he’d won his championships seeing this car being thrashed around silverstone brought a tear to my eye
I don't know why Lewis was there with Seb and Nigel... but this was a BEAUTIFUL moment! Happy Birthday Seb. Nigel was so sweet and humble. What a memorable day!
Winning multiple World Titles means that driver belongs in any F1 context. Nigel respects Lewis' ability. All past and present drivers do. People who criticise his driving because they don't like his personality have nothing useful to say about motorsport, let alone Lewis.
Man the sound of that car brings back so many memories growing up watching it on BBC etc. I still watch the F1 now but its not the same show unfortunately.
What a legend 👌👌 an all time great, loved F1 back in the day & at a time when we had Senna, prost etc Nigel Mansell was my favourite driver to watch, unbelievably brave & gave 100 per cent every time he got in a car, what I would give to even touch that car, brought me so many great memories, legend ❤️❤️👌👌👏👏
Nigel has been there and done it, he's a living icon of a time many of us are deeply nostalgic for. He was there at the tail end of the ground effect days, there during the turbo ascendancy, and there for Piquet, Prost, and Senna. If you've got F1TV go and watch all those seasons, they're a terrific way to spend some time enjoying motor racing's salad days.
You can watch all the old Grand Prix on the internet archive. Tons of content there, because its a historical archive. You can even watch the match between Joe Frazier and Muhammed Ali right now!
I genuinely got quite emotional seeing this! Mansell was the driver winning everything when I first got into F1. I lost interest a bit during the Schumacher/Ferrari years but Lewis and Seb reignited my enthusiasm. All three are total legends and it’s so good to see Mansell getting the recognition he deserves - he was always in the shadow of Prost and Senna but with better luck and/or better relations with the Williams management he could have been more successful than either.
I also have to say out of the entyre bunch these days seb is proving to be a true champion and a true gentleman So so grounded sadly not like so many of the other madonnas of the day !!
Two legends that will not come round again. "Our" Nigel, and those glorious V10 cars, of which this is perhaps the most famous. Fair to say that Seb will be classified as a legend in the future. Right now I think he is a fantastic human being that made that transition from one of the most hated drivers on the grid to one of the most loved. Let's see how Lewis handles that one.
I have never seen another Formula 1 driver so dedicated, focused, driven, and determined. With all of the aforementioned. Nigel is a true sporting gentleman and a natural ambassador for his country. 🇬🇧👏👏👏👏👏
You can tell that seb does not give a fuck about championships anymore. He is just enjoying the ride as long as his lastname allows him to.... He learnt that from Kimi.
So nice worlds from a champion to another, gentlemen both.,and the fans were amazing singing happy birthday to Seb, he will remember this day for ever, happy for him
It was a very beautiful and emotional moment
Until now it seems Nigel Mansell just didn't get the recognition he deserves. Well earned applause for an amazing career.
To be fair He had no rivalry 92
Williams fw14b and fw15c were often 2 or 3 seconds faster than the next best 2 cars benneton, McLaren.
But for a tiny bit more reliability, Nigel would have had 3 WDCs.
I’d say four. 87 was lost to injury when Williams had reliability and he had half a second on Piquet, according to Nelson himself.
They made a videogame named after him, so I dont think he was overlooked back then...
Not overlooked, they always loved him, its just that they still love him more than ever. How could you not?
Seb’s a good guy. Mansell was a beast; people tend to forget he was battling the likes of Senna, Prost, Piquet, Rosberg, Lauda, and others. And remember when he pushed his out of fuel car over the finish line on 105 degree heat in Dallas?
I was at that race! Hot af...typical Texas summer.
Some days not even Senna could touch Mansell. Let’s not forget he also was a Indy champion when the champ cars where insanely fast and dangerous.
Didn’t just battle them, he often beat them.
I'm a Brazilian fan of Nigel Mansell, one of the coolest and most charismatic drivers in Formula 1's history.
Long live The Lion!
Wow ,that's so emotional, a absolutely goosebumps moment. Nigel Mansell is a pure legend abd a true gentleman. Stay healthy Nigel
Can hear Murrys commentary "they love him and he loves them"
Goosebumps.
Great to see this, and the British fans singing Happy Birthday to Seb was a nice touch.
Respect!
Wheel to Wheel with Senna at 200mph unforgettable
Great to see Mansell and Vettel together. Both really genuine drivers who love the sport.
Vettel is the Mansell of his generation.
Stuart Fully agree.

What a lovely meeting by two greats of their time as a 69 year old man I am in tears for them both !!!!!!!!!!!!!
How I wish we could turn back time and have our Nigel back on the grid a magical time of F1 so many top drivers in that era
Great video... I like both of them, Seb and Nigel... Williams FW14(B) by Adrian Newey...
Man the noise those old cars made is pure joy to my ears you know Vettel loved it
Amazing to hear this words from Nigel, both are amazing, Seb I will always you biggest fan ever.
I remember watching Mansell and Senna go toe to toe in their era.
One of the only few who could give it good to Senna.
Yes. I remember those times well, too. A most entertaining era of F1.
“Unbelievable… i’m shaking “. That’s it. These were the real F1 cars.😢
Authenticity all the way around. Mansell. Vettel. Winners in racing, winners in living. And the FW14B. The real thing.

gives me goosebumps when the crowd sings happy birthday. fantastic to see seb and mansell.

Nigel is a true gentleman driver, whose heart is still full of passion for sport! Max respect!!!😎😎👍👍
Three legends, Seb, Nige & the FW14B👌
Nice to see just a small, lightweight, nimble F1 car again with great sound.
That was such a warm hug between the Nigel and Seb!
Thank you Seb.
Nigel was an amazingly tough gutsy driver in his day and could have won several titles but he came up against Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna. Sebastian Vettel is not just a multiple world champion and a real gent. I'm very impressed by his choice of car.
01:05 thats how you say Hello in V10 world
So cool. I miss that sound too.
Nigel is the most entertaining driver ever ... criminally underrated ... once he had the dominant car every one enjoyed before, he showed them who is truly made of ... 1992 was the year of dominance driver records for a long time
Great seeing Nigel again! A true and worthy champion! Pity Frank didn’t live long enough to see that one! 👍
TWO AMAZING GUYS ,from different times in F1. Much admired .
That's a beautiful looking race car truly iconic Sebastian will look after it for sure
This event is part of what makes motorsports so very enjoyable. Great history, great personalities, and smiles all around. Well done indeed.
I saw seb driving this car on a demo, I shed many tears. Absolutely insane; even though I was born after he’d won his championships seeing this car being thrashed around silverstone brought a tear to my eye
Big hug!!No words. One of the best car ever made in F1...And brilliant Nigel Pitbull Mansell.Best era in F1 history...

Lewis came to see the car. He loves that stuff.
Lewis the gate crasher

The great respect of Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel to Nigel Mansell doesn't have price!!
Long Live the Lion!!
It was a beast of a car like no other and never to be seen again. At the time you most certainly had to have the balls to drive it.
Nigel has been there and done it, he's a living icon of a time many of us are deeply nostalgic for. He was there at the tail end of the ground effect days, there during the turbo ascendancy, and there for Piquet, Prost, and Senna.

My word they put on a splendid show in Silverstone, we can never allow it to be lost to these future circuits. Look at the race we had this year!
Nice loved seeing the car being driven how he liked it to be done himself!
01:13 to 01:36 - Ah, the famous Mansell 247mm steering wheel! :D

That really got to Nigel. Seb is a rarity in F1 these days .What you see is what you get.
Two great champions lovers of true cars.
The sound of that car is awesome 👌
Arguably THE most glorious car in F1 history
That’s one beautiful looking car .
That car and the sound 😍

awsome - three champions.
Nigel Mansel você é um ícone!
Salute to Vettel that he even wore a blue overall to match the theme of Nigel’s era….. can see he truly respect Mansell in a way……
Greatest and most beautiful f1 car imo

I miss those cars, i miss those drivers. This was a nice moment.
This is amazing ❤ wow!!!! So special
Always loved the look of this car. Completely minimalist. I wonder how it would perform with the same engine against today's cars.
The leyend Nigel Mansell for world all !
Nigel per sempre nel mio cuore
Il leone sarà per sempre il mio pilota favorito
Probably the most beautiful F1 car ever made.

Now this is lovely to see .
these videos are great, seeing new legedens pay homage to old legends.
A lenda das pistas que saudade de ver ele o sena...correndo
I still remember my late father face painting a Mansells tash on me when I was just a boy before the races haha great memories

Lewis is alright. Could become more humble but was just a bit too successful to most people's liking.
Mansell is REAL legend! 😀👍
nigel mansell is something else he was so fast yet he had so much bad luck i am glad he won the championship at least once
I have never seen another Formula 1 driver so dedicated, focused, driven, and determined.
With all of the aforementioned. Nigel is a true sporting gentleman and a natural ambassador for his country. 🇬🇧👏👏👏👏👏
It was the best sound ever
Seb even has Labatts-style overalls with his campaign slogan on them
German and British always be friends and foe... maybe forever

A proper F1 car...I didn't even turn my head looking at the new ones... Indy car sounding
