Niki Lauda: "In the Austrian Grand Prix it was uh, unbeleivable. It didn't go to plan at all because Prost was in the lead, thank god he crashed." Classic Niki Lauda.
Elio De Angelis broke his engine and the oil of his Lotus was all over the track mainly in the last corner of the Österreichring. When the leaders reached that sector Piquet was P1 and he almost spin but somehow he managed to control his Brabham. Prost was right behind Piquet in second place and he couldn't avoid the spin over that amount of oil. End of story.

Piquet grabbing Prost by the balls was really funny, these days drivers were characters not just sponsor puppets that always speak the same at every interview
Thing is, if they do mess around with each other for fun today, the media will purposely interpret their fun in the wrong way just for clickbait

I've always been a fan of Nelson. Until the moment I watched an interview with him when he was asked who was the better driver: [then late] Ayrton Senna or him. The answer he gave was telling us everything: not just about their rivalry, but also Piquet's complete lack of respect and humanity. I lost my respect for Piquet.

Indeed it is. Colour scheme is perfect, shape is perfect and it's very simplistic.
The red and white helmet from Piquet also helped a lot. The mix was just amazing, even though I prefer the '84 car (Brabham BMW BT53)

Two McLaren MP4/2's, and both champions driving. THAT was a race car. Not just competitive for the 3 years it raced, 3 consecutive driver titles....the MP4/4 gets more hype, but I think this one deserves it more.
Man, looking at current drivers fixated on those cars and legends with the biggest grins brings tears to my eyes! Love it!
If that doesn't bring a tear to the eye of Fans for an era gone past, nothing will. Beautiful Cars, Brilliant Drivers.

so sad that today drivers can not say what they feel and think because of media and sponsors. because of this piquet is my favourite driver. i'm too young so i could not watch his career in the 80's when he was winning :( i love his attitude. i miss this in todays drivers. he always said something fun and did stupid tricks on others. today everyone is so serius and never say what they think. nelson piquet my favourite besides hakkinen who i loved to watch racing
