Me (GSTAR321) doing a live commentary and playthrough of 'The Evil Within' on AKUMU difficulty.
The Evil Within is a survival horror game directed by Shinji Mikami and was released in 2014. It is available on PC, PS3, PS4, XBOX 360 & XBOX ONE.
Shinji Mikami does what he does best and has provided us with yet another great survival horror game. The Evil Within is VERY similar in gameplay mechanics to 'Resident Evil 4', and it makes sense as Mikami directed that game as well.
I give praise to the games atmosphere, pacing and gameplay but personally find the story to be a convoluted mess. Still, if you can manage to get your head around it, you will find it somewhat entertaining (though laughable). Locating all the collectables is a must in terms of gaining a better understanding of the story.
But aside from that, the monster designs are fantastic, the level design and atmosphere is amazing, and the gameplay is on point. With a mix of stealth, gunplay, traps and intense boss battles, this is a great game. An essential addition to any survival horror lovers repertoire!

I used to think akumu was impossible. This guy is a God
Little tips: 1- if you press B when using ladders you can fall, this game doesn't have fall damage so don't worry, 2- those red levers, you don't need to press A to use them, you can hit them with a melee attack, 3- with the Alter ego enemies you just need to shoot them in the monster head to kill them not the human head, this things probably won't be so useful to you because you probably already recorded the whole thing :D

I noticed there are mostly handgun ammo pick-ups in this game and that's why I upgrade the handgun more than shotgun and rifle. I always make it stronger because the game tends to give you more ammo on the handgun rather than the bigger weapons. The handgun is pretty sweet when you upgrade the firepower and critical percentage to level 3 or 4. When you aim for the head, you will most likely get a headshot.

Condemned is a game that simply must be done at some stage. One of my fav horror games for sure.
