Brilliant photography! Love those timelapses. I'm staying in Canary Wharf Thursday night so this was a good primer on what to check out. I'll take a look at your other vids.
Thanks a lot Felix ☺️ finally had a video to share some of these so glad they get noticed ☺️London had definitely changed a lot in the last 5 years, loads of cool new architecture
And now I know where there's a pullup bar I can use. I do pullups and chinups as part of my exercise routine and it's always a problem when I'm traveling. Thanks for that!
Thanks, that was such a cool abs unique view of planes landing at Heathrow, traffic frequency is I guess a strong giveaway that that timelapses was shot pre pandemic 😉
Don't think I have seen a better set of timelapses of London Michael, they were simply stunning. Enjoyed see your walk around the area as I have added a couple of map pins for my visit to London in September. had originally earmarked a day for going around Canary Wharf but I also have a spare day so might see about at least a day and a half. Do you think any parts would be ok to use a tripod, I know around the financial/office area it's problematic?
Thanks a million Scotty, finally though I had a reason to share these so I did and glad you enjoyed them, even though they were either super sped up or just short 4s parts of the full timelapse. Totally would reserve a day of two for Canary Wharf and neighbouring areas. Tripods on the Canary Wharf land are a no-go, don’t waste time setting up as there will be security quickly on you. Anywhere outside of their land, you’ll be ok. There was once an article somewhere online about public/private land map info in London, google it and it will help you a lot 👍🏻
Im interested to know how do you get in these buildings to do your hyperlapse? I like to occasionally visit London to take some cityscape photography and would love to get up high
@@JenniferElliott1 hard to miss it once you’re at Canary Wharf, head for the iconic One Park Drive ( skyscraper from thumbnail) and you’ll cross the new bridge and you’re there 👍🏻
What floor were you on, for the timelapse, in the arena tower, my friend? PS, probably my favourite tower there, but OPD is very close, i can't decide!
Two floors from the top of I remember well, 40th ? Or so? Yeah I like OPD visually too but same as with Arena Tower no view for residents of lower floors🤷🏼♂️
Just discover your channel, I love this video. The time lapses you recorded are impressive, how are you been able to get up there?? I walk so many times in Canary Wharf dreaming to enter in one of those skyscrapers 😂
Thanks a lot, glad the timelapses spiced up the video. The way I’m usually up on roofs is because I’m either shooting commissions for clients, developers, letting agents or occasionally a private individual who knows and enjoys my work invites me to their provider balcony. Good luck 👍🏻
enjoyed your video! can you share what set-up you're using for your vlog camera? camera, lens, gimbal/tripod, mic, external LCD for composition if any? TIA!
@@LondonViewpoints oops must have stepped out when video was playing in my home office. I have Z6, would 20 1.8S and Weebill S gimbal be a good option? Need a screen for composition when doing vlog style video.
@@R2X2Z yeah I also have the 20mm 1.8 S and love that lens, only use gimbal on paid gigs as it’s too much faff for a vlog, and for the monitoring I use uurig 45degree mirror, it’s good enough , light and needs no batteries
SQP has an outdoor terrace on the 56th floor! residents only i think, but there is a great 4k vid on youtube, by crown lettings, or something like that! Great vid!
Great video. I love Canary Wharf and skyscrapers. I must make an effort to go there more often!! 👍🏼
And it changes so much year on year there’s always some new skyscrapers to admire 👍🏻
Your passion for architecture and tall buildings is palpable. Great footage and editing, look forward to more 😊👍
Thanks a lot ☺️ I do love cool architecture and views from roofs of skyscrapers , more coming soon👍🏻
Great architectural tour, the timelapses were beautiful! :)
Thank you, glad the timelapses added the extra to the tour ☺️

Thanks , and glad to hear it was a helpful video for you
I used to work around here until I retired three years ago. Really good to see how it's changed. Good video!
Thanks a lot, nice to hear this from someone who like you knows the area 😀👍🏻
Looks like a great place to explore and take photos and time lapse! Definitely need to visit London some day!!!
It is indeed, that is if one likes modern architecture and city scenery😀 I do and hope you get to visit London one day too 👍🏻
This area is astonishing. Love it
It’s definitely cool 😀glad you enjoyed the video
Fantastic video as always! I look forward to watching you explore more places soon 🏙
Thank you, glad you enjoyed this walking tour, more videos in the works👍🏻
Very informative video, makes me want to come visit even more. The timelapses are so good 😍

Excellent video of Canary Wharf
Thank you ☺️

And best of all it’s a free outdoor gym 😀good luck
The timelapses are breathtaking, I love the planes approaching Heathrow! 🛬

Great video with some truly incredible footage!
Thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed it
Love canary wharf! Love this
Me too, thanks, glad you enjoyed the vlog
Looked like a Fab Walk!
Wish the weather was better 😉
Great places. Looks like a great place to take my motorcycle and ride round . 👍
Yes, driving around Canary Wharf in general is a cool experience👍🏻

In that case, I’ve got an exciting video for you coming later this month😉
How did you get to this location at 10:46? As I couldn't seem to find Wood Wharf on goggle maps. :(
Fantastic views, photography and time lapse! :)
Thanks, I just know it’s there, but maybe because it barely just opened to public it wasn’t yet on google maps 🤷🏼♂️ it’s there alright 😀👍🏻
@@LondonViewpoints could you give some directions as to where it is? If possible? 🤔

Do you know any skyscrapers there that you can go up and enjoy the view? 😊
Novotel has Bokan bar at the top floor, and Pan Penninsula has Capeesh bar at the top, that’s pretty much it for the public
Just curious: how do you get permissions to enter all those buildings?
Good question, it has come up a few times already so I’m planning to answer that in an upcoming video 👍🏻
I was wondering that myself as I am hoping to get a an amazing view of the city of London. :)
Can't wait to hear London viewpoint's answer! :D
@@JenniferElliott1 as this question resurfaces often I’ll address it in a dedicated video in September 👍🏻
Did you make the video yet?

Alot of people are moving to Harbord Square including moi and ma famille
Oh really, that’s cool, if there’s any viewing gallery for the residents, lmk, I’d love to visit as your guest 😀

Ive heard that terrace has great views indeed, but most likely only for residents, one day …
Planes cannot be landing on Heathrow but in London City airport
The do land at both, I’m not sure what you mean ?
Surprised they allowed you to film here!
Never took out the tripod so I guess handheld was all ok 🤷🏼♂️
If you went back there 35 years ago, hardly nothing there, all closed down, low level warehouses
Yes you’re right, it’s been one hell of a ride at Canary Wharf last 35 years
I don't know why UA-camrs always force bogus background music in their videos.
Yeah hate them youtubers too🤣 oh wait, you didn’t mean me ? You’re calling me a UA-camr? Yay I finally made it 🤩
Nothing special just buildings, you want to see real beauty look at the sky
I prefer mountain landscapes too, but as I live here, this is the man made beauty I learned to enjoy
So far as gardens are concerned I'd rather see plants & trees not stupid mental artwork created by psychopaths .
I do like bonkers arts, but sure, trees are always welcome, but art it cool too
I wish you would lose that annoying repetitive music .
If that’s the only bad thing about the video, I’ll take that as a compliment as music is everyone’s personal choice 😀
