As a gun enthusiast and collector, I have to disagree agree with the DE being a flop. It was never supposed to be a replacement for more run of the mill hand guns. No one ever expected it to out sale the glock19 , beretta 92 , 1911, s&w29, ext, ext. It’s a gun designed for a very niche market and has done well on that market. If the gun was a flop, one could expect to see 2 things. 1. Short production life 2. Very low resale value Neither of those things happened with the DE. I own a mk1. I will say that it’s heavy and VERY finicky on the ammo it likes to shoot. It’s definitely not my EDC. It is however VERY accurate and much softer to shot then my .44mag revolvers. I can say this.......mines not for sale, and I think a lot of the other DE owners would agree. For gods sake, even non gun people know what a Desert eagle is when they see one. It’s probably one of the most recognizable handguns ever made. I can’t call that a flop.
Wholeheartedly agree. I was just checking comments to see if it needed to be said, but it seems that a "couple" of ppl beat me to it....lol. I want to own one but I dont yet have the disposable income to justify getting one.
Good point, but I think the video's point was that it was considered a flop as it's use in the military and police force is very limited due to the ammo simply costing too much. The DE sits in this weird no mans land where it's too slow and heavy to be a good quick draw side arm and even though it's got good range and accuracy, a rifle can do the same job cheaper and better. It's a nitch product for people rich enough to afford the ammo, like a Mob Boss or a War Lord.

From a "gun enthusiast's" perspective, this video is much higher quality than your previous firearm video. Thank you for doing the research and making this video!
Its a flop because it just doesn't know what it wants to do its unpractical and expensive for military, police or civilian but big gun make big hole, my uncle takes his whenever he goes bow/crossbow hunting just for bear safety though so it is what it is.
@@GomezIsKindaDumb he makes his own ammo so the cost per bullet really doesn't matter to him, he buys junk cars scrapes/melts anything he can and sells all the refined stuff he doesn't need back to the junk yard like no joke arrows and bolts cost more to him because he likes those tri claw luminous/glow arrows.
I got to rent one at an indoor shooting range once, in 50AE... I was expecting it to hurt, but was pleasantly surprised. That more powerful 50AE had less felt recoil than my 6.5" Model 29 44 Mag. The fireball was extremely satisfying as well!
@@BertieW0oster the .44 Mag DEagle is manageable for a 12yo boy. Can't say that about the 44 Mag revolver in general. Pulling the slide back is more of a challenge than the recoil.
I agree I feel the desart eagle gets an bad rep for what it is. Yeah it's "heavy" but it's fireing the largest semi auto caliber available like what did you expect? And as far as reliability goes I really haven't had an issue granted I clean mine after every use. But still for what it's worth I've had more jams using 10mm then 50ae
To me, the kick feels comparable to a 357 but the thing that really gets ya when you fire it is the blast and shockwave that slaps you, which you never get firing a 9mm.
The .50AE is amazingly easy to shoot, even one handed. The gas system makes it really forgiving and the only reason it would be difficult to shoot is the weight and the lore of this gun making people overcompensate.
I remember the first time I fired a .357 Magnum. I expected it to break my wrists but it turned out to be pretty smooth, far less snappy than a compact 9mm.
It’s not a flop.. it’s just a niche gun… I bought mine in .357 Mag (The originally designed caliber) because it’s much more practical in terms of cost for range usage and fun!
@@bloopy6166 No… it’s not hot enough to cycle the slide… it’s too heavy.. plus.. you need to use heavier hotter .357mag ammo i.e. 158gr to make sure it cycles reliably… 125 gr is too light a load..
Interesting, but I wish the video had given some explanation as to why they considered the Desert Eagle a "total flop". The closest I've seen was that it wasn't adopted by any military or police force. So, a weapon which is aparently popular enough with civilian markets to remain in production for nearly 40 years is a flop because it never saw popularity outside those markets?
like most large bore semi autos, its a niche thing. it failed at its original intent but its awesome for plate shooting, the 50ae is a very flat trajectory round.
@@kaizen5023 its fiddly when it comes to ammunition thats half the reason why they jam the other half is people not holding it right and then a quarter is quality control issues especially with the early .357's and the early XIX model. Its quite a lot better now and the new compact L5's are extremely reliable.
Because the Deagle is practically useless as an actual gun. The only reason why it's still in production is because it is so popular through mainstream media like movies, shows and video games and like the video said became an instant classic similiar to the Ak-47.
@@Z38_US It's still in production because people are still buying it. Lamborghinis are useless, yet they're still in production because people buy them. And no one calls them a flop.
Someone in my concealed carry class tried to qualify with a desert eagle. But he was a new shooter and was suffering and was about to fail. So the instructor offered him a .22 out of kindness, and he passed..Lesson: You can’t buy badassedness, and you can’t buy cool.
A couple corrections. Revolvers are usually more intricate than magfed slide pistols. The reason that revolvers are the go-to high caliber handgun is because you don't have to wrap your hand around the bullets inside of a magazine inside of your receiver and grip. The bullets are outside of your grip, letting you chamber longer rounds that find service as rifle rounds, or shotgun shells. But usually there are less intricately timed moving parts in a standard pistol and less springs and levers than you'd find in a typical revolver. Thank you for your time reading this, to everyone reading, and good video, if the producers see this.
The reason that revolvers are the go-to high caliber handguns is that a .357 or .44 magnum handgun is a lot smaller than a Desert Eagle or Automag. Also, you can't and shouldn't try to chamber rifle ammunition in a typical revolver unless you want a catastrophe to happen.
Revolvers are marginally more simple to operate, maybe that's what they were trying to get across. Under the skin they're like clocks. The other reason is that revolver frames are usually a lot more robust than semi-autos. An additional correction is that most modern pistols don't use blowback, they use Browning-style recoil action.
Correct. Calibers like .357 Magnum and .44 Magnum might be used in some rifles (chiefly lever-action rifles) but they're still considered revolver calibers. The grey area is in calibers like .45-70 Government, which can be chambered in certain rare revolvers, but is primarily a rifle caliber.@@Immafraid
I find that the recoil on mine which is properly chambered in 50AE, is the exact same as the recoil on my Glock 30 which is chambered in 45acp but with a short barrel. Also I feel the hit of the Deagle more when firing with 2 hands rather than one handed which kind of makes no sense but it definitely feels more natural and comfortable shooting one handed.
Such a weird gun...yeah, one handed is generally better despite what the manufacturer states. I'll always have new shooters try it according to the maker's instructions to start with, but the one handed experience is life changing. Does it also seem louder when someone else is shooting it vs. firing it yourself or is that just me?
@@forwarduntodawn1000 not only is it one of the most fun guns to shoot ever made, but because all the kids who played cod4 and watched the matrix are grown up now they are selling like crazy.

My favorite part of the firearms community is the extreme number of guns that were a result of a thought process that goes like this. gun designer 1: "i wonder if we can make a gun that does *insert weird thing*" gun designer 2: "why? that would be super impractical and really expensive" gun designer 1: "ill get to work on the prototype" gun designer 2: "and i'll get to work on the patent"
I wouldn’t really call the Desert Eagle a flop, sure, you aren’t going to use it for concealed carry and it’s never going to be a service pistol, it’s too heavy and bulky. But, I don’t really think it was ever really going to be that, but rather something fun and dumb and more of a range toy and just something cool to have. If you want an example of a fun and dumb range toy that really did totally flop, and in fact destroyed the company that designed it, the USFA zip .22 is where to look
I think the Zip was meant to be a serious weapon, which makes that story even more tragicomic. Before that, USFA made one of the best Single Action Army reproductions ever produced. But the owner sold off all those machine tools so he could make that idiotic little fail-box instead.

Amazing infographic display! Time to update it already, we converted a .50 AE Desert Eagle into a Machinegun (1 of 1). It was also acknowledged by Kahr Firearms Group.
I watched this same video in a different format, almost word for word. I've had my DE .44 magnum since 1989 and I love it. It's great for what it was made for.
Yep. a channel called US Marines Force uploaded a video called "Why Desert Eagle Pistol Is A Big Fail". The entire transcript is identical-including the recommending the next video on the M-16. The only difference in the entire transcript is the omission of the word "blockbuster" near the beginning. Us Marines Force uploaded it's video on January 3rd, 2022-about 2 weeks after this video was uploaded, which means that video plagiarized this one, and not the other way around.
@@itchybraids33 Sure I would. I've put thousands of rounds through it and never had a jam/misfire except once. That was when I was shooting cheap factory loads. Shoot good ammo you shouldn't have a problem. Except, of course, that the thing is heavy.
Its still the most powerful Semi-Automatic handgun to be ever produced. And one of my favorite Semi-Automatic handguns right next to the M1911 and the Glock 21
I own the Mk XIX in 44 mag finished in polished chrome. IMHO, the two things I hate the most about this gun is that because it's almost as heavy as some rifles, it makes it potentially less effective than say a 1911, which could be drawn and fired numerous times before you could even draw and aim the DE. Another problem I didn't like is that it has a higher jam rate than any other pistol I've ever used. This problem was drastically improved when the maker sent me new recoil springs but it still does it from time to time and it can be unsettling when you're removing .44 mag stovepipes with recoil springs that powerful. It isn't a gun I'd recommend for a first time gun buyer but to each their own, I suppose.
Never had one jam out my 50 DE. It is one the older models and runs like a scalded dog. These jams people speak of are foreign to me. And if it weighs too much, try eating a steak
@@frankernest3712 I've had mine jam 4 times 2 times was from my girl limp wristing it and the other 2 times were on me but I don't remember if it was because I was limp wristing it or it jam it self
I would consider it more of a novelty than a flop. Given it's notoriety in the film industry, you could say it is a cult classic. People usually own one because of it's uniqueness and rarity, which also makes it a great conversation piece, that you can actually shoot and have lots of fun with. That's my two cents worth. This was still a great video though, and very informative. Thanks!
I love the way the DE looks. The agents in the Matrix use it, for example. After having tried a friends DE on a gun range…well, I still like the way it looks, but that’s about it. Just not fun to shoot 50 cal in a handgun after 5 rounds or so 😆
@@angrysocialjusticewarrior Have you shot one? It’s actually pretty easy on your hands and forearms. The gun is so heavy that the recoil isn’t that bad. But I also have the .44 and not the .50.
I was going to say the same thing. I need to try the .50 someday but mine is .44mag as well and the only difficult part of shooting it is the cost of the ammo.
@@JustinBlazzzee .50 AE has ~30g of a powder load. .44 has ~14g of a powder load. There are outliers in powder loads, of course, as 44 has been around much longer, but you're generally igniting twice the powder with a .50
@Melon Specter 14 grains of powder in a 44 would be more like a 44 special. I don't see hardly any loads that don't start at 20 grains or so depending on the type of powder..
I got a Sig P226 MK25, FN Five-SeveN, Kimber Stainless II, and a Desert Eagle and every time I go shooting with buddies everyone loves shooting the Deagle.
I’ve got a Mk 7 .44 Magnum, I’ve always wanted to purchase the .50 barrel but just haven’t yet. Mines matte black too. One thing everybody says when shooting it is that it’s mindblowing how much the Deagle eats it’s it’s own recoil. Even one handed
The .44 Desert Eagle feels like a Cadillac compared to my Automag IV in .45 Win Mag . You could feel the muzzle blast from the Automag on your face and it is nowhere as smooth operating as the DE . Love using the Desert Eagle .
Would you say the .44 magnum is the most enjoyable round to shoot through a Desert Eagle? I want a DE but not sure on .357 or .44. 50 AE would be too much for me. What would you recommend? Also, is it true that the recoil isn’t that bad?
@@djudson367 I've only shot the Desert Eagle in .44 . The recoil isn't bad at all when compared to a revolver of the same caliber . I let a petit girlfriend shoot it and she did fine . For the first time I only put in one bullet just in case , but she enjoyed it after the initial shock wore off , it does still make a lot of noise and it is a little heavy weight-wise 😆. Because the Desert Eagle is gas operated , it absorbs a lot of the felt recoil . I would have to guess that if you're worried about recoil and being the most enjoyable , the .357 mag would probably be the best as it is a lot lighter bullet with less recoil . .357 mag ammo seems to be slightly cheaper than .44 mag ammo .
I own one of these, the recoil is similar to a Glock 9mm, in the way that the gun is not very snappy, but it just moves around a lot due to the mass. The gun can throw you off balance for the first few shots because people anticipate a lot of recoil, and when they don’t get it, it causes them to flinch. The .5-0 is actually my girlfriends favorite handgun of mine to shoot because the recoil is very mild for the amount of power.
-Me: So... why was it a flop? -Inf. Show: Whaaaah? (in true prof. Farnsworth style) Alt. Version: We lied so you'd click the video. It was a complete success, became iconic, and sold millions.
The folk who'd call this a Jam O' Matic or some other derogatory name weren't doing something right and hastily jumping to the conclusion this was a bad gun. The only time I've had a less-than-pleasant experience with mine was when a chipper old man sold me a few bags of .44 mag 5 years ago ... for a peculiarly low price. They were shiny FMJs in shiny casings... and evidently he got stingy with the powder which meant the loads were very underpowered. I had to manually cycle 150 rounds, save the brass, sell those back to a different hand loader to get _real_ 240 grain rounds. It's the ammo, not the firearm, that can make or break the experience. Sometimes it's also limp wristing. Don't do that. With a Deagle it's hard to do it but that's personally because I have a tendency to grip all handguns the same. It's 4½ pounds of steel, not a dick.
.44 magnum I rented at a range once felt like a commander sized 1911 with a tiny bit less muzzle rise and a small bit more kick. Very manageable, but after 10 rounds you get it out of your system and don't care about it anymore.
I own the DE in 357/44/50AE. It is ungodly too expensive to practice with when I chamber it in 44 and ESPECIALLY 50AE $2 a round. What novice don't understand with this firearm is THAT YOU MUST use the manufacturer recommend ammo or the weapon WILL NOT cycle correctly. If you use cheap ammo than you're going to have lots of issue. I wish I could find a gunsmith that can fab me a custom Resident Evil Lightning Hawk barrel
The Desert Eagle wasn't made because the designers wanted to make a best seller, the Desert Eagle was made because the designers wanted a handgun that shot massive bullets.
I decided to give this video a shot(pun intended) even though I wasn't convinced by the other firearm videos you have made since they had some inaccuracies or even plain mistakes. I am glad that I did, this was a huge improvement and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I’d love to see you cover more firearms and firearms history if it’s done like this with adequate research and accurate modelling, i know the animation of firearms can be incredibly difficult to do accurately while still fitting to your style but I think it’s absolutely worth it since it improves the quality of the video immensely.
On a fundamental level, I'm sorry but I just can't agree with you when the entire video is spent trying to call the Desert Eagle a failure simply because it wasn't adopted by any military. With 40 years of production and an average sale price of $1500-$2000, I can't call this a failure, and dedicating almost 10 minutes to explaining why it is what it isn't just feels wrong to me on a fundamental level. Would love to hear people's thoughts about why they agree or disagree, though.
The deagle .50ae is a amazing hunting handgun. It is very accurate and in my mind has very moderate recoil vs a s&w 500. Other than that once again the infographics show is about dead on.
I once got to shoot a 44 Magnum revolver that was made in titanium. The guy would only put one round in it because no matter how hard you gripped it the handgun would spin in your hand I can't imagine a fifty caliber handgun in semi-automatic
Interesting, especially when everyone I know has one. I personally have the Mark XIX, 6-inch Component System that comes with a .357 Magnum, .44 Magnum and .50 AE barrel, all packed inside of a really nice case. My newest Eagle is the Mark XIX L5 with ported sides and an Integral Muzzle Brake, chambered in .357 Magnum.
7:30 And remember boys. To be a certified badass, you have to shoot a Desert Eagle with one hand. Only in the rare case that you are a police officer are you allowed to use two hands.
One word, cost. Name any kid in the 2000's that grew up to be an adult. We wanted to buy one but could not justify the cost to get one as it was too expensive. If it was 1/3 the price in the late 2000's, it would have sold like gangbusters.
I had hoped when I first heard about the Baby Eagle that it would be a scaled down Desert Eagle, unfortunately it has very little to do with the Desert Eagle. I wish Magnum Research would scale down the DE to be a normal full size pistol for a more practical caliber like 9mm. Is there any really reason to do that, no, but the DE looks cool. The way the DE works and looks is unique and iconic, but the DE is so bulky and has the ergonomics of a brick. Basically, give me a DE that is the size of a normal gun and chamber it in 9mm. Just because
I always wanted one and sa:mp calling it a deagle made me want one even more. Unfortunately I'm very poor and no longer allowed to own a firearm. I've been fortunate enough to fire a .50 version and I loved how it bust. I'd rather use a 40 for practicality sense, but something about waving that massive, loud thing around would be hazardous enough to where I wouldn't have to use it for self defense. People I know that own firearms don't take me seriously when I bring it up in discussion.
The MkXIX Desert Eagle has quite few upgrades from it's previous models for recoil reduction and overall weight reduction, even in 50AE. So it might be a little easier to control now a days even if you're a novice shooter. I still wouldn't let my guard down on it through.
@@ecdmuppet I've shot quite a few rounds out of the .44 Magnum Redhawk, and a few rounds out of the Smith & Wesson 500 Magnum. The recoil of those two are about equal in my experience (both very heavy revolvers). I'd like to try the Deagle 50AE alongside the .44 Magnum for a good comparison...one in each hand.
First time i ever went to a gun range to test a few pistols/revolvers, the DE was by far the one i felt most comfortable with. Went 6/7 with that one chambered in .50, and yes it was easily the most fun experience of the 7 firearms i tried out that day. Got some kick to it, sure, but not even close to the "Eastwood Special" i tried the same day (.44 magnum).
I purchased one when 44 Mag became available, and sold it after a few years. The 50 A E. didn't interest me much, but when 440 Corbon became available, offering greater energy and flatter trajectory, I became a Desert Eagle shooter again. I then got a 50 A E. barrel because a barrel swap was all it took to shoot a different caliber. The grip was a little large for perfect fit but I was more annoyed by the awkward forward and up pivot of the safety, as on a traditional double action. It was reliable, accurate, and pleasant to shoot. I'm glad that neither the 6" or 10" barrel was ported. Recoil wasn't bad and they were loud enough anyway.
@Doc Holliday Corbon's claimed muzzle velocity for some ammo was 1800 feet per second from a 6" barrel, which exceeds any 50 A.E. load I know of. Bottleneck and tapered cartridges have some reloading issues, but there can be feeding benefits, although my 50 A E. fed fine in my limited use of it. I will admit that 50 A E. is better distributed. The ballistic similarity you mentioned sounds like a more recent cartridge whose name I don't recall that is somewhat toned down from 440.
I once shot the Desert Eagle in .44 magnum, and it felt like any normal pistol I’ve shot, I was even able to shoot it one handed, the only problem was it jammed every time it shot, but that was most likely the ammunition we were using
I call my flip flops flops because they flop when I flip them, but they're definitely not a flop because they're wildly popular among people who hate wearing socks and shoes...just like the Desert Eagle is not a flop because it's wildly popular among the people who love cool-looking handguns with heavy recoil.
FYI, A.R does not stand for "assault rifle", it stands for "Armalite" the industry that manufactures the firearms. Just tired of hearing them called "assault rifles".
I used to be so enamored by deagles ever since watching the first matrix movie. However years later when I finally bought one in .357 it turned out the idea was better than the actual thing. Great gun but not for me cause I have at best average sized hands.
@@skyhop I appreciate the advice but I traded it in several years ago on a new carry gun. I'll keep that in mind tho cause I wouldnt mind having one of the newer 5 in barrel ones I just didnt want to get it and have the same problem of the grips being too big.

I find it hard too believe the Desert Eagle was actually intended too have a realistic application. One would think it was designed just so Magnum Research could say "We did it just too prove we could."
"So why did you make it?" "Well you see sir, big bullet, go boom, very funny." "Sold I'll take your entire stock." Someone out there just wanted to make big gun shoot big bullet and honestly quite admirable.
Tried to rent the .50AE at my gun range once...they didn't have ammo for it. I settled for the .500 S&W. I think the guy in the next lane was more eager to see me shoot the .500 than I was to shoot it. It was surprisingly well-mannered in terms of recoil, somewhere between my 9mm and my .45; I expect the sheer mass helped, but even one handed it tracked straighg back to my shoulder in recoil. My sole complaint was empty cases jammed in the cylinder twice, but I chalk that up to poor cleaning. Still want to shoot the .50AE, but not sure I would own one - they are not cheap or easy to feed.
If you found .500 S&W recoil to be mild, you were shooting "powder-puff" loads for sure. Try some Buffalo Bore or Underwood ammo and get back to us with an update.
"When it showed up on the range it changed the landscape for the semi automatic pistol" I'd say that goes to the 1911, being the first practical semi auto design, but sure.
As impractical as it is for EDC use, it's ingenuity is insane. Had the Deagle gone for a more traditional straight-blowback design, it would've weighed a lot more and have more felt recoil. Being gas-operated with a rotating bolt and fixed/pinned barrel means that it's also surprisingly accurate for a pistol, especially when using the .44 Magnum version. That Pic-Rail and optional sight/scope isn't just a meme. A little bit of practice with this thing and you could be hitting shots that most people would use a small rifle for.
As an Arnold Fan... I was expecting the mention of Arnold Movies in this video on Desert Eagle... And you had it... Thanks... 👌👌❤ Btw Nice video... 👍👍👌
Ill say this about the Deagle, having shot one as part of my 'first time shooter' experience at a range, its comparable to firing a 357 honestly. Ive fired 22's, 9mm Glocks, a 38 revolver, a 1911, a 357 and the deagle. Little difference between the 357 and the 50ae IMO. That being said. The 357 is a revolver which has no spring or slide for recoil, the Deagle has one, so honestly that made a difference to me. Definitely was alot easier to hit my targets at about 20 feet, to about 45-50 feet with decent spread. Still prefer my 1911 because it felt right in the hands. The Deagle is definitely not a flop as some have pointed out in the comments already, and for a very good reason being that you have versatility in what you can chamber it in.
fun fact: I work in the gun industry in the United States: I had to return a Desert Eagle for repair. The owner was shooting it, and the back plate which retain the firing pin had slipped out and the firing pin few out the back while shooting. True story.. Desert Eagle told me that this can be the result of not properly supporting the handgun during firing.. the virbration from shooting can vibrate out the firing pin retention plate. its a flaw in the design. Pretty sad. I don't think this happens very often. I've not heard of many instances of it. But its a possability with the design. Its a novelity gun. just for fun. that's it.
I believe it. The guns have trouble cycling if you hold it the wrong way. The owners manual specifically says the guns reliable operation is based on how well the shooter holds it. Ive also accidentally bump fired mine because I didnt hold it tight once.
Fun video, also kind of a fan of the deagle in a way, so it’s cool that it gets its own dedicated video on the Infographics. However, it really hasn’t explained why the gun has been considered a flop….
Pretty much cause its a big gun with low capacity and expensive ammo is what I got outta it. I wish .50ae ammo was still as cheap as they proclaimed tho. Can confirm recoil on the 50ae mark 19 isn’t much more than that of your typical 9mm. The muzzle brake and weight of the gun make it very manageable.

@@earl4989 yeah honestly I have a 44. Ruger Blackhawk and I feel the recoil in that more I think.

You must have a magic DE to have the same recoil as a .45 Glock. Having shot plenty of handguns, nothing came close to the recoil of the DEagle.

It's the ammo, not the firearm, that can make or break the experience. Sometimes it's also limp wristing. Don't do that. With a Deagle it's hard to do it but that's personally because I have a tendency to grip all handguns the same. It's 4½ pounds of steel, not a dick.

@@skyhop I appreciate the advice but I traded it in several years ago on a new carry gun. I'll keep that in mind tho cause I wouldnt mind having one of the newer 5 in barrel ones I just didnt want to get it and have the same problem of the grips being too big.
@@justincaldwell7614 there’s also new version called L5 which supposedly to be much slimmer and lighter weight roughly 1.5lbs less plus Integral muzzle brake.
I have one. No regrets.
I find it hard too believe the Desert Eagle was actually intended too have a realistic application. One would think it was designed just so Magnum Research could say "We did it just too prove we could."
"So why did you make it?"
"Well you see sir, big bullet, go boom, very funny."
"Sold I'll take your entire stock."
Someone out there just wanted to make big gun shoot big bullet and honestly quite admirable.
@@ShudowWolf i would assume its fine for hunting but rifles do better for cheaper
It was made for the military
one with the versions (with a suppresser) doesn't have any of these problems. It is almost perfect.
You spend like 5% of the video actually explaining why it wasn't a success lol
"When it showed up on the range it changed the landscape for the semi automatic pistol"
I'd say that goes to the 1911, being the first practical semi auto design, but sure.
No one ever used a desert eagale in a mass shooting
No one ever used a watermelon.
A-wax used it pretty effectively in Menace II Society.
It’s the gun from CSGO
To think that if it weren't for COD4 and Counter strike, this gun would be relegated to the obscure meme-gun purgatory.
Thanks... 👌👌❤
Btw Nice video... 👍👍👌
It was a flop because T-Rex were already extinct by the time they developed the desert eagle
My first experience with the .50AE was with Resident Evil 2 🧟 💥
Laaame who tf even cares btw 😅
If you have the courage then blow my whistle tho I'll allow it 😉
@@kentonbenoit9629 who cares about... what I commented?
I don't wanna have to read stuff like this that's all
It’s an iconic gun. How is it a flop ? And it still looks gorgeous. I have an l5 and looking to pick up another one. 🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸
The Gun is Impractical, the only it has Going on is Looks
it's form over function, and you don't want that for a weapon
It’s funny because in video games, it’s arguably the best secondary, but irl it’s so bad of a weapon
Funny story this is actually one of the best heavy caliber handguns ever shot. It was way more accurate with less kick and more accuracy
Normal pistols leave you with a bullet wound, The Desert eagle leaves you with 3 limbs.
fun fact:
I work in the gun industry in the United States: I had to return a Desert Eagle for repair. Its a novelity gun. just for fun. that's it.
Never heard of this happening
I believe it. The guns have trouble cycling if you hold it the wrong way. The owners manual specifically says the guns reliable operation is based on how well the shooter holds it. Ive also accidentally bump fired mine because I didnt hold it tight once.
I still want a desert eagle
Amazing. This must be the longest anyone has ever made a complete flop in American manufacturing history.
How is it a flop if it can 1 shot to the head with head amor and only cost 700 dollars?
I’ve had the pleasure of shooting one of these in .44 Mag. I really enjoyed it and found the recoil to be accurate and very manageable (as .44 goes)
Bullet tooth Tony made this gun look cool especially, when he took that head shot at Boris the bullet dodger.
Meanwhile it's still around today. You must mean the early version was a flop.
I've had mine for about a year love it. 325 grain 50 AE is fun to shoot
Getting a head shot with a deagle aka "one Deag" in early CS was fairly enjoyable.
Guess since law enforcement and military didnt adopt it to them its a flop. In my mind police putting cantaloupe size exit holes in people is excessive and thats why its a flop lol
Probably just words added for clicks
expensive heavy pistol with expensive ammo
Expensive af. Also pretty bulky as a handcarry pistol
The Desert Eagle is a range toy. I don't suspect the creators expected it to be adopted officially anywhere or to have much personal use other than simply being a range toy. I'd hardly call it a flop.
It was designed with the hopes and intention of being used by the Army. It failed all the qualifications. It is a flop and a piece of unreliable junk
Not mentioning Counter Strike is a crime.
As a gunsmith and someone with a background in the firearms I disagree the DE is a prolific firearm and definitely was and is not a flop as it’s still manufactured and usually stores can’t keep them in stock for most it’s a novelty range toy but also many’s prized gun but many people use them for big game back up guns and military’s around the world still use them in specific roles
It's not a backup gun in any military lol
