WPA Wolverine Pistol
Americas solution to tame the 7.62x39mm Russian round. The Wolverine utilizes a short stroke piston driven upper assembly that is factory tuned for suppressed and non suppressed shooting with fixed position adjustments. Unlike traditional 7.62x39 AR magazines, AKM magazines are better designed to feed the tapered casings and therefore more reliable.
LOWER RECEIVER - DESIGNED TO USE MAGPUL MOE 7.62X39 AKM MAGAZINES. Billet Aluminum. Integrated Trigger Guard. Precision CNC machined to upper receiver for zero movement between the upper and lower receivers.
UPPER RECEIVER - Modified BRN-180S bufferless upper receiver
HANDGUARD - 9.5” Modular M-LOK
BARREL - 10.5" 7.62x39 4150V Barrel, black Nitride finish, 1:8 TWIST RATE
MUZZLE DEVICE - Night Howler Plan B compatible Flash Hider
GAS SYSTEM - Short stroke piston driven, 2 position adjustable for suppressed and non suppressed shooting
TRIGGER - WPA 2 Stage Combat Trigger
PISTOL GRIP - Magpul K2+ Grip
BUFFER ADAPTER - STRIKE INDUSTRIES 1913 PICATINNY REAR BUFFER TUBE ADAPTER WITH STEEL QD SLING PORT.
FINISH - Hardcoat Anodized Black
*The Wolverine is a limited production firearm that is available through Wolfpack Armory exclusively. Due to demand, these will not be sold through any dealers nor will they be available to backorder. - Розваги
For a smaller manufacturer, that rifle looks awesome!!
it's made by PWS and brownells. They're pretty big
The Mutants are Evolving
Nice finish work. Stuff like this used to be wonky
The upper is made by PWS for brownells, but the bolt carrier is modified by Wolfpack Armory to fit the AK mag feedlips. This really has been a cool project. Since it's a custom fit not offered by brownells, and only the lower, charging hangle, and muzzle device made in-house by Wolfpack Armory, this gun in particular is made to order. Most manufacturers wouldn't bother offering it since they don't make the whole thing, but props to Joe and Austin at Wolfpack for offering what the people want anyway
@@removerinnawoods8536Be a whole lot cooler if it was reliable. If a firearm isn't accurate and reliable, I'm just not interested.
Eugene Stoner be like: "It's evolving, but backward"
Yeah, devolving or revolving.lol😂

There's a Devo reference in here somewhere
But he would be happy there’s no extra forward assist.
AK lowers and mags are a constant problem.
nice free floating optic at 1:12
You gotta do it that way for the best accuracy because of barrel harmonics and and heat induced zero shift. A free-float zero is an adaptive zero.

that was not a vibe
@AudioGardenSlave123 this is the way.
Backing those screws off now...
It's got that recoil-compensated zeroing control. Keeps your sight picture steady when shooting full semi auto.
No, the AK mag that holds open on the last shot, is Yugo/Serb make.
Yea, I was thinking the same thing. He sure knows a lot about AKs.
Lmaooooo
In Serbiet Slavia, mag lock you.
Romanians don't have lockbacks
@@AdministrativeResultsyou made the nerds mad
I mean for years companies have been trying to make AR15-AK hybrids when an AR18-AK hybrid makes so much more sense.
i love that chunky side charger, definitley a vibe
I like my charging handles like I like my women, chunky and rocking
Brownell's BRN-180 Series rock
We make these charging handles as an upgrade to any BRN180 upper
Hell yeah brother! The strike adapter has been a bit problematic so it gets Loctite for now until we start making our own. We also have been working on mag compatibility data that should be released soon. Great video on the Wolverine!
Is the lower compatible with AR15 uppers in any way? If it’s only compatible with AR-180 uppers that would make this rifle Canadian legal and non-restricted up here with an 18.5” barrel, or restricted if under 18.5”. the market would go crazy for something like this up here.
@@adamg574the issue with an AR upper paired with this lower is that it seats the mag too high where it makes contact with the bolt. So, for the 180 upper in the video they machine some material off of the carrier allowing the mag to seat properly when the lower is attached to the upper. I’ve had the opportunity to see WPA do this live. Cool products, I think they may sell bcgs that work with these lowers on their site but that would be for an AR-15 not a 180 variant - I think. They to my knowledge, sell BRN uppers from time to time that they modify.
@@adamg574the 180 uppers require modification which we do at our shop. We will look into selling an 18.5” version to Canada but the limiting factor will be the availability of the uppers themselves. Hopefully you might see this come around sooner than later!
I ordered one. Have to go to my local gun store so they can send you their FFL info.
@@HairyBottom sweet! They’re good people that do great work, you’ll enjoy it I’m sure!
Very cool, thanks for sharing! If only someone could ask these manufacturers “Where AS-VAL?”
I too would love some Val gal.
I'm still holding out hope Slagga MFG's Viska VSS clone comes to fruition. He's still working on it as of 2023 but his updates are few and far between
I’d love to get my hands on a Val
The Ready or Not background music is a fun feature
glad im not the only one who noticed lol
i thought i had the game open lmao
I like the idea of these hybrid systems. Wether its doing blacks ops spooky stuff and picking up bad guy mags behind enemy lines or just breaking up the monotony of 556 ARs as an end consoomer. Very cool.
As far as black ops type activities, you are more likely to be attempting to obscure your national identity. 5.56/.300BO casings pretty clearly scream NATO affiliated country. 7.62x39 casings make it much more difficult to identify a group's geo-political association. Especially after-the-fact.
It’s not a mountain lion, its a cougar. “whip it out” 😂
that cut of the beat drop was BRUTTALLLLL
Aks with picatinny rails are honestly just a vibe in general
I can see your point, but the Left hand grip even on this BRN-180-7-39 is for Americans. But doing that without a Glove will be for fools.
So it is almost AR15.
The Mercenary he showed the pic of was using the 15 lower with Duramags.
That is understandable if the Lowers cannot handle the Steel to Aluminum Lug Contacts and break in as shown, to then just breakaway.
This particular model comes into its own when you slap a 100rd RPK drum on to it, and it becomes a 'Get Me The Hell Out Of Here Weapon' (GMTHOOHW)
Pig gun. We have millions and millions of them. Each needs a Remote Mineral Injection. Bring the Drum.
Not really, you double the cost of the gun to modernize it when you could have just bought a modern gun. They're the new milsurp tactical mosin.
Shout out to small business that was willing to put their lesser known product up for scrutiny takes balls and it looks awsome
Looks like a vibe. I like it in a weird kind of way
dig the ready or not soundtrack in the background
Think the pic of the mercenaries in Africa was not showing a 7.62x39 AR but rather a 6.5 Grendel. The mag tilt (at least on the camo pattern gun) is consistent with Grendel. Relatedly, the Serbian Army adopted 6.5 Grendel for their AK platform rifle. And yes, as comments below say, the Serbian AK mags hold the bolt open.
This gun is what Imagine the AK platform should have evolved into vs the AK12/AK15. Seems cool that with some proper R&D could be a great modern platform
Theseones are for fun and appealing, those are made for real war
Fun facts in canada the ar-10 an ar-15 are prohibited but an ar-180 is a restriction free firearm if the barrel is over 18.5
The make an ar181 in 7.62 in canada.
@@joesayles7953 yep kodiak defense wk181
My little armalite. So you get the cheaper one restriction free?
@@Matt-md5yt nothing is cheap in canada the cheapest "ar" like guns you can buy including our canadian made 180b, sell for 1400$ and like to split bcg at 300 round, only thing cool we have are Russian and chinese import like 500$ sks and 1200$ type81 etc but non AR mags are capped to five round...
Yeah some cucked candian rifles that are dogshit ahha
I own one of their ars. I had some major issues originally but they made it right and I love the rifle.
S&W mastered the issue with the trigger pack made for the M&P 15R in 5.45x39. The springs were stronger and were painted orange.
Just a pro-tip, AK specs are all over the place and magazines should typically be fitted to any rifle that uses them.
In my opinion, I like this setup. Due to being left handed. The fire selector looks to be ambi and / or AR-15 style. I've wanted to get an AK style firearm, but my biggest issue with AKs is the fire selector.
Skipped this episode the other day because I have family in town rn and a BRN180 in 7.62x39 already. Did a double take today when I saw the mag on the thumbnail.

Bro I love your editor he a real one fr fr
That thing looks awesome. Glad to see smaller companies trying out new things. Definitely gonna look at picking one up.
Wow the amazing reciprocating Handle Pic Rail! 1:14
Extra loose boy
The integration of AKM magazines is a game-changer, ensuring smooth feeding and enhanced performance. Plus, the short stroke piston system and adjustable gas settings make it adaptable for any shooting scenario, whether suppressed or non-suppressed. Wolfpack Armory truly hit the mark with this limited production gem.
my favourite ready or not track in the workshop there
Looks so cool
Slim and compact
Light primer strikes on 7.62 AR style gats are generally from a firing pin that’s a few thou too short, or a hammer spring that is too light. Can be fixed for like $15.
Fun fact: Wolf Pack Armory is a local firearm manafactur in the state i live in! Its wild to see a west virginia manufactured weapon on a gun channel grwat vid admin keep up the good work!
love the Ready Or Not music at 4:10 to 5:10 that one is my favourite.
I like the idea. I currently live in a swamp, and I partrol the area to see what the coyotes and whatnot are doing. I generally do not carry a 5.56 because it is a heavy wooded area and 5.56 does not punch though all that crap well. This thing would work well for that. It is smaller, so I can carry it easily, and the same ammo as my AK means it works better in the woods. Furthermore, I have a lot of magazines, in fact I have a lot of THOSE magazines.
Pretty sick set up!
That red dot was dancing on that a2 😂
WOOO WEST VIRGINIA
LETS FUCKING GOOOOO
Bout time we get some recognition lol 😅
PSA's ar-47 is dope! It needed an adjustable gas block but now it shoots soooo soft and smooth. ❤ No reliability issues at all. Only ever didn't cycle while i was tuning the gas block.
Not gonna lie, its actually pretty slick
nice to see a good review of a WV manufacturer
That Koppie(hill) behind you is awsome.
I’m making something very similar. I had to mill out of the 180 upper to get it to fit ak mags. I used an 80% Gorilla Machining lower. Some fitting was required and some material had to be sanded off the tops of the mags. All plastic mags work but my favorite is the PSA 103 style magazines
Pretty cool

Thank you for this new blessing balaclava daddy
Yes, when you observe a cougar stalking you, "whipping it out" is in fact the correct response. 😂
I have a BRN180 300blk build so very similar and I absolutely love it!
Hard to beat the CMMG MK-47 for a AR that takes AK mags
Different platform completely! Cmmg 🤟🤟
The integration of AKM magazines is a smart move for feeding those tapered casings seamlessly. I appreciate the attention to detail in the design, especially with features like the short stroke piston driven gas system and the Night Howler Plan B compatible Flash Hider.

Their about to make a lot more of those, pretty nifty and badass gun
admin your shane gillis impression is spot on xd
5:00 I FEEL that. My KR-104 absolutely loves the Bulgarian polymers with steel lugs and lips, but has troubles rocking in Magpuls.
It isn't an AK if it isn't a picky eater, I guess.
AR guys don't know the pain of having to go through magazines to make sure they all fit, then deciding what to do with the ones that don't.
Definitely a vibe and all the AKs I’ve owned or handled have been picky with mags till some wear has happened
Subtle Ready or Not background music. 10 points for Admin!
you make me happy
That is an awesome concept I would love to own one but I'll wait for the gen2
Good efforts
Really edging us with that intro
He’s such a fucking tease
Fairmont in the news for a good reason LFG lol
Some surplus mags have issues locking into AKs as well. I got a AMD-65 built on a polish receiver and the original tanker mags don't fit but the locking lugs just need to be filed down and they'll be good to go.

Hell yeah cool to see a West Virginia hometown company getting some airtime! WolfPack makes good guns!
One thing I have found to help with tight fitting AK mags as this is a problem with AWB era imports - filing the tabs just a bit on the front or rear (depends on where theres more material). I had to do this with my KCI mags, as well as a few newer Romanian and my Gen 3 PMAGs
Yo Admin... you better stop. You gonna make me buy another gun
it looks REALLY good
My PSA KS-47 is also mag sensitive. It does take most surplus steel mags and bulgarian poly mags. It will tolerate gen2 pmags but it does not take USPalm or tapco mags. I have had some fail-to-fire but all of them had good primer dents so that's an ammo issue.
Every AK I've known has been picky on magazines to at least some degree. Doesn't matter if it's Norinco, WASR, built off a kit at home... between commie quality control and the mags being made by workers of different levels of motivation in a dozen different countries over almost half a century, there's a lot of variation in mags and the rifles they go into.
I love seeing meprolights. I ran one on my Wasr for over a decade.
Patreon gang sound off!
Admin, Don't use a mag as a monopod. Neither AR or AK platforms like this and it induces malfunctions. One of the first things they tell you in basic training when learning the gun.
Music selection is just keep getting better and better

The AK/AR hybrid is almost perfected. If a company wants to print money, come out with a last round bolt hold open magazine. There's already custom AK magazine followers that do this, then add a functioning bolt catch.
Make it work with VZ 58 mags then.
Ive bought some stuff from them a couple times in the past and theyre very good to work with. No complaints had some manufacturing issues and they sent me a new parts very quickly so def worth looking into them especially if you do 80 stuff
Love wolfpack armory
Jesus Loves You
More Bamba
It’s gorgeous hope it can run more gooder
you gotta love the ready or not back ground music
The upper is milled out by wolfpack, but the upper doesn't have map stops on it like a psa ks47 upper does to stop over insertion. So if you use the mag as a monopod, the mag will push into the bolt and cause malfunctions. I have one of these from wolfpack on a ks47 lower. I love it
primary weapons systems has a longstroke piston upper that runs 7.62x39 on an AR lower. looks like an AR externally
East valley tactical was so awesome when I went over there!
That looks sick!
The Marine rifles you saw are PWS 762X39 rifles.
I run a brn180 in 300 blk on a spear lt lower. Admin dead on correct about the way this thing feels in hand.
nice. i need one for my collection too!
Good stuff my dude! Your videos always crack me up.

I like guns that have like a high tech dystopian vibe, and for some reason this is giving me that, and I'm not questioning anything.
My PSA KS-47 lower had the same issue. Worked the logic bomb and went the smart direction. Modified the $20-30.00 mags and left the $400.00 reciver as is.
That's how some Aks are as well. My AMD 65 has issues with some mags you have to file down some material from the lugs on top
It is super cool looking. Happy to see it takes regular AK mags (for the most part)
Big ups to east valley tac. Those guys are great.
Gotta love the slomo with the loose optic mount
That thing looks soo cool actually
I love the music from ready or not sprinkled in there.🎉
I've been wanting this design in 6.5 grendel for a while now. It needs to happen.
For wolfpack armory what i could add/reccomend for them is i had something similar with mags on a wasr10 i bought i sent it back to century with a note on what me and some others had discovered and they just had to shave maybe like a few hairs off the inside of the magwell evenly and alot of mags including the metal tab magpul ones should fit then.
