Done a lot of range time with my dad over the years, but mostly your standard range stuff and then some.. Last spring, my dad asked me if I wanted to go shoot at this "all-day event is a combination of IDPA-style scenario shoots and basic tactical training". We went, had a great time.. and then started shooting at the local friendly Friday night steel matches throughout the summer. Excited to start this season in May, I tell all my friends it's like a bowling league with your dad but with guns lol.
Man it's great to have all the lads back together, we never knew how lucky we were a year or 2 ago with you all together constantly. Happy for each of yalls success but the vibes of the group back together is something else.

I moved back to my home country for family, and to restart. I bought a Hammerli R1 (on my brother's licence) and we go out once a month hunting rabbits or target shooting with him and my niece. Does it CURE loneliness? Not for me, but there's grief from loss there. Are those days out hunting and talking about guns, ammo, and hunting strategies, something I look forward too? More than my brother and niece know. It gives me a glimpse of hope in a happier future. It's not a cure, but it's definitely an effective treatment.
