Can't beat that Yammy reliability 👌 And love using Motrex stuff, don't use the engine oil (except when I had the KTM) but use a bunch of other stuff from them.
I use Motorex products on my 890r and really do like them. I also wear the exact same Forma boots and absolutely love them. I used to have Sidi boots that were never as comfortable as the Formas. I can wear them all day without any issues. Love your content. Keep it coming as I can identify with most of it.👍
Thanks man yeah I had Sidi Adventure 2 before the Formas, I liked them but the soles fell off and they weren't even that old. Formas are definitely more comfy and better value for money cheers
They're okay for light off Road use, but they offer no lateral or torsional support, I suffered a bad ankle sprain when the bike landed on my foot, I now wear Tech 7's which offer up much better support and they are quite comfortable

I use the garden leaf blower gets right everywhere the washer gets (seat off under the seat etc).. better than the compressor.. then just armorall tire protectant eeeeverywhere, stands up to sun & weather really well.. just mind the brakes on the first outing after, dont ask.. whiskers & sideburns r looking a bit.. seasoned..

Yeah love the rear rack it's from B&B Off-Road Engineering, I only had to shorten the tie down knobs a little to make it work with the Kriegas (there's a video on here somewhere) but it's a mint solution bboffroad.com.au/product/rear-compact-tail-rack-yamaha-xt690-t700-tenere/ (the grab handles are an optional add-on)
It scrubbed up well, I really need to give my Toe-Rag a birthday bath with clean water and soap! 😀 I was told by another person to use Motorex oil in my Beta to get rid of clutch squeal, so hopefully a top tip. Is great after all the proper use the T7 has had that nothing really major has gone wrong.
Yeah I don't know hey it was a freak thing. It was tensioned properly and all because I remember checking it before the ride. Pretty sure a stick must have flicked up and landed just the wrong way but I'll never know for sure 😬

I've allways used fully synthetic, clutch noise when cold is just something you have to live with. I just don't pull away in 2nd until the engine temp is over 70c.
Worth trying different oils to minimize the noise, definitely made a difference for me 🍻 Buffeting is pretty bad but I just deal with it, don't particularly fancy putting a big daggy screen on. Cheers 🤘

The clutch sits very high on the right hand side of the engine, so when on side stand the oil naturally gravitated away. I think all the CP2 engines get the noise, but it does only happen the once when stone cold. 👍🏻
Motorex oils are the shit, I use their semi syn 15w50 in my xr600r and she loves it. Usually 1000 odd kms per service on the old girl but the oil still looks perfect when I dropped it 👌
I like the Motorex stuff. 👍 Some might disagree with my decision, I'm going to trade my KTM 890 Adventure S (standard model, not the ripper R model) for a T-7. I have calls in to three dealerships to get estimates for my trade in. My 890 is Mint and its been a hoot to ride... but I started on Yamaha and as I approach 60 years old ( in a year & a half) I'm thinking that I want a Yamaha in the rotation for my final 20 years of riding. In one way I kinda hate to go through kitting out another ADV bike, researching everything gives me a headache, but the T7 has been out there long enough that there is some great aftermarket gear to choose from. Hey Josh good stuff that motorex ye ,but you still not use an engine flush and a oil conditioner afterwards ,I swear every 10000 mile oil change my engine oil is still the same colour as when I put fresh in .
@@MVDBR honestly josh I no I'm going blind in one eye but you no motorex is a little red but not as red as motul ye ,I'd take a picture to prove it but the disbelief is not honourable ,I warm the engine oil put the cleaner in run it five miles drop it straight away minding my hands coz the cleaner makes it like acid hot ,change filters ,plug it refill it 1700 mil of oil then add conditioner ,oil conditioner not hair ye ,run it.10000 km ye not miles ,I'm on about 13500 now and all it makes is that rattle when you've stopped it ,restarted it and the auto decompression kicks in for about five seconds no shit mate put oil conditioner in ,you can't go wrong .

Yeah it's not a big issue unless your trying to pull away in 2nd before the engine has warmed up.
