- Col. (ret.) Lawrence Wilkerson's last positions in government were as Secretary of State Colin Powell's Chief of Staff (2002-05), Associate Director of the State Department's Policy Planning staff under the directorship of Ambassador Richard N. Haass, and member of that staff responsible for East Asia and the Pacific, political-military and legislative affairs (2001-02).
-
Before serving at the State Department, Wilkerson served 31 years in the U.S. Army. During that time, he was a member of the faculty of the U.S. Naval War College (1987 to 1989), Special Assistant to General Powell when he was Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (1989-93), and Director and Deputy Director of the U.S. Marine Corps War College at Quantico, Virginia (1993-97). Wilkerson retired in 1997 and began work as an advisor to General Powell. He has also taught national security affairs at the George Washington University.
The Americans aren't the good guys. The Americans are the baddies.
The whole world knows it..... the US/Nato/Eu use the law of the jungle to spread lies...
The really really baddies
Not the Americans, but their government.
@@markusberzborn6346a good part of the Americans support these policies. The Americans too
Why so many Americans fail to recognize that sad reality terrifies me.
Putin put an economist in charge of the military. The US put a lobbyist.
Lobbyists are one of the most powerful roles in a fascist society - they fill the role non political charities and NGOs (totally different from the charities and NGOs we have under fascism) and unions do in a democratic society.
This is a understatement lol
Lindsey Graham is proof of why old, single and childless women shouldn't be allowed power.

100% correct and it has been for many years by people who understand and admit the truth. NOT the people BUT the rulers. The US people are equally badly treated.

The ICC needs to issue arrest warrants to this pathetic US administration for war crimes period.
And the government of the death cult masquerading as a country we support in the ME
ICC is useless nobody listens to them . They tried to arrest the Pope and got handled like a small boy
The ICCis a phony court set up the US but not recognized by anyone. Wake up.
This channel is becoming my favorite for understanding U.S. foreign and military policy. I love the guests. I appreciate the questions that Nima asks and the way he lets his guests speak without hurrying them along or getting them to react to stupid video clips. I get, not just news, but also an education here. Thank you, Nima!
Yep! Absolutely so.
It's great, I've learned so much
You're talking about judge Napolitano aren't you? He has a list of questions that he feels he must ask and interrupts in order to ask the question. Plus he shows the same stupid clips time after time to multiple guests so a viewer has to watch them over and over again. Reacting to video clips is a crappy thing to watch.
@@garylancaster8612 Affirmative 👍🏼
@@garylancaster8612 You are unfair to Dialogue Works. Both are good shows and largely use the same guests.
The Colonel is a brilliant and highly respected guest whom I admire and respect. It's great to have him on your quest list, Nima.

Ask for your country to put the lobbyists in jail
"I don't see any talent coming down the road, looking at the White House."
Blunt, brutal, honest and 100% accurate, tragically.
I can sense an urgency in the voices of Wilkerson & Co.
I sensed a concern for the inevitable consequences of horribly bad decisions by incapable leadership.
Excellent guest who don’t taint the picture with political rhetoric. Thank you.
Wonderful work Nima!! Keep it up 🇷🇺🇨🇳🇮🇷❤❤
Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺, really pleased you’ve got Col Wilkerson on again Nima as he’s clear headed thinking and analysis of the current situation in the world is well worth listening to any like always you ask the correct questions.
love this guy, intelligent and genuine
It's a pleasure & privilege to hear Larry Wilkerson speak. Thank you both! Maybe before too much longer, big decisions will be made by a council of elder statesmen. Maybe a dozen or so who could share their views, debate issues & lead us away from the horrors of immature, crazy misleaders like we have now.
I think the most astounding thing in this video is fact Larry is 80 years old!!!
Larry, do you really believe Biden is AWARE of anything?? "Come On Man"!
Do you really believe "Bidan" is Biden? Man in a mask, there to make Rabbi Trump electable.
It depends by what you mean by aware of anything, Biden is aware of the negative aspects, this is why he keeps doubling down...

Great stuff, Nima. Words of wisdom from Colonel Wilkerson.
Outstanding job!
Morning Nima and Col Wilkenson
We needs independent politicians who listen to their voters, NOT the ones who follow the corrupt leader of their party.
Thank you for inviting Col. Wilkerson
Re: China embassy in Belgrade. The USA did do it intentionally. And don't think China is forgetting it, or forgiving it.
Why they waited for the Reception..to Attack.
👍😁👍 Cheers! Love this channel. Very entertaining.
Mr Wilkerson is such a erudite and compelling guest… Huge experience of military and Geo politics, makes him one of the most authoritative guys in the media…
Thank you Col. Wilkerson for commenting on the issue of retired 4-star generals placed at the head of the DOD. In Lloyd C. Austin III we have a Secretary of War, and I use that word ‘war’ deliberately, seems to exhibit the Viet Nam optimistic attitude “ damn-the-torpedoes-full-speed-ahead-we-ca-accomplish-anything-asked-of-us”, the”can do” spirit. It’s as if LBJ appointing William C. Westmoreland right out of Viet Nam to head the DOD. Austin will always say “can do” when she should say “sorry, sir, can’t do “ , or ‘shouldn’t do’.
It's more of a Secretary of Financing the Military Industrial Complex, and a rather poor Secretary of War.
Bless you, Colonel. The cohunas to tell it like it is.
Thank you Nima and Colonel Wilkerson!
Very bitter lesson - he probably means like Vietnam. He is forgetting that "west" tries to attack Russia every hundred or so years, and always gets it ass handed to them.
There's an old CSPAN video of Webster Tarpley telling the story of the USA-Russia friendship during the 1860s. Russia was the true ally while Britain is/was the true enemy.
Larry, if you are listening. Please know that many Danes agree with your views despite what our politicians say and do!
RE U.S. navy, last time I looked a few years ago the pacific fleets alone had a 20 year 1 trillion dollar backlog of maintenance and servicing needs. I doubt it has gotten any better since. As for the Israeli weapons restrictions, it's all theater Dima, from what I understand of it, it only covers around 3500 individual items and the US state department has already admitted they have shipped more than enough munitions to Israel already for them to do as they wish in Rafah. Kabuki theater.
Greetings from Australia
Excelent interview!
First one here! Thank you for great dialogues Nima!

Great discussion. Thank to you both ❤
Bring back Dmitry Orlov! I miss that guy. I want to know what he thinks about the current situation especially when Zelensky’s presidental term expires six days at the time of this comment has been posted.
I'm always thinking that when I watch one of these videos: What would Dmitry Orlov say? He isn't obligated to pander to any US establishment stuff like "I'm an Israel supporter." Col. Wilkerson is a great guest on the show and very informative but at times he is constrained, IMO.
Shoigu is also a civilian. He was never a member of the Russian armed forces. He is now Secretary of the Security Council.
His Portfolio is All Industrial Production..😊
Keep the Truth Alive!!!!
Completely agree that Odessa should be highest priority for Russia, I would add that Russia should not be taking half measures but should be maximising its current domination for the future. Specifically, at the minimum Russia needs to get solve Transnistria and get to Hungarian border thereby freeing Hungary and Serbia from EU/US enclavement. Is Putin the person for this?
In regards American military engagements around the World, the first thing which needs to be done is to have an honest conversation of what constitutes the "national interest" and differentiate exactly what interests the concern about "security" are about. Americans have long been sold the idea that "what's good for GM is good for America" while closing their eyes to the historical fact that the American people themselves have NEVER faced a security threat beside the small British incursion which burned down the White House in 1814, and even this was a retaliation to prior aggressive American actions in Canada. Besides that, the riches of America's corporate plunder of the planet has never really "trickled down" to the average person, evidenced now when contrasting the gigantic infrastructure deficit all across the country with the unparalleled wealth increases by the very few.
Gen. Smedley Butler made the case quite clearly a century ago on who's behalf the US military might was wielded around the World. Nothing has change since except the vastly increased levels of US belligerence, aggression and violence, all for corporate America to maintain its hegemony and profits.
So thankful to this channel for covering the Colonel's thoughts & opinions.
He's such a rational/ logical & non-biased thinker.
Thanks to the Colonel for sharing his experience & his perspective.
Keep up the good work, Nima. 👍
Great video. Thanks
You nailed it. Only experience will open an eye into the future. Experience they don't give you in any university.
Thank you, Larry and Nima. I am a "shipping and export/import" American that has lamented the shabby ports and antiquated systems in the US today. Why do we allow these bottlenecks at ports, trucking line failures and rail deterioration? The government meds to learn from Russia's Arctic fleet, Germany's seaports and China's aggressive upgrades of commercial rail lines. This is the real war that America stupidly ignores.

Col. Wilkerson, you are an amazing thinker. I wish you would run this Country and save us.
Nima has a very good channel Col Wilkerson is a proper old fashion gent who acts and talks politely and knows what he is talking about.
A very articulate man, with passion for the fate of his country and a common sense understanding of geopolitics.

Common sense, thats something the West lacks, Col. Larry Wilkerson has what they need thankyou for being the voice of reason.
Ultimately, Larry is a proud Imperialist. His face lights up when he talks about US wars of aggression, especially the ones he participated in. Hard to watch him, tbh.
Great comment! It’s true. The man just is afraid - that US will loose. That’s all.
Agree. And, he doesn't know anything about how Russia wages wars. Russians do it totally different than Americans (US is maritime power Russia is continental power, for example etc etc etc), and he absolutely doesn't understand that.
And China has something on the order of 100 times the naval production capacity of the US. Even with printing press go brrr, it's not so easy to catch up.
He also perpetuates the Official Conspiracy Theory about Al Qaeda and 9/11.
Powerful stuff.
That's right Colonel
Great commentary
19:45 You ask, rhetorically, "What are we smoking?" I don't know what Washington is smoking, but in the UK, the Thames Consevators report, that the wildlife living in the River Thames, downstream from London, is sufferring from cocaine poisoning. (I'm sure I don't need to explain the significance of that to you.)
Probably worse problem downstream of the river that passes through Brussels. don't see this environmental problem mentioned much ...
@@iRelevant.47.blacklisted That could well be! However, I have no info on that.
There is lithium in the northern part of Ukraine near the Russian border. That is what Larry isn’t seeing as a reason to control that area.
Worked with Colin when he was a one star working for Cap.
Wilkerson, Mcgregor, Black etc retired as colonels in the U.S. Army, whilst Milley, McChrystal, Petreaus, and Austin retired as generals! That's a serious puzzle...

The story about the senator on the arms services comitee is proof positive that we have the best democracy the donor class can buy.
