This sounds like it belongs in a campy 80s fantasy movie. Like a montage of dorkfish swimming through a magical ocean

This is the kind of music I would put on while working or relaxing on the couch. You know, a bit like Mike Oldfield, Jean Michel Jarre or Vangelis. But absolutely, definitely, 100% not somthing I would request David to react to.

I read the title at a glance thinking it was WINTERSUN, I kept waiting for my face to get melted by some guitar shredding.... well, there's always next time 😂

If you look up Wintergarten Marble Machine, youll see that he has a penchent for inventing instruments to do his experimental music with. His original marble machine looks like totally rickety structure one man band thing which got millions of views.

I've seen his marble machine but it doesn't make me like this song any better. A long time ago I also saw him on Swedish TV.

@@ML_SE This performance reminds me of the New Age artist Kitaro combined with the worst aspects of Tone Poem composers that came about in the early 20th century.

Hey, David, wanted to ask since you're a bass player, had been saving money for a Bass, save up pretty good money for one, was wanting opinion for a good starting Bass?

You can't go wrong with Ibanez. They are solid basses with a good price point. For a good starter bass, you shouldn't be spending more than $500. I would recommend the SR300 series from Ibanez, it's a good sounding bass and you can get one brand new for around $350.00. Once you get familiar with the bass, and you know it's something you are going to want to pursue, then you can invest in something more upscale. Just don't make the mistake of spending thousands of dollars on your very first bass, because you may discover you don't like it....and now you're out thousands of dollars that you will never recover.
An0other expense to think about is going to be an amp. I strongly recommend starting with a combo amp, nothing more than 100 watts. Anything more than that is a complete waste for starting out and learning. I'd honestly look for a 40 - 60 watt combo for a starter amp. I believe Ampeg makes a nice 1x10 50 watt combo amp that's right around $300.00 which would be perfect for starting and learning.
Then there's cables, strings, picks (if you want to use picks), a tuner, a metronome, etc. There are a lot of little expenses to think about as well.

@@THEDavidHeretic Alright, I give a look at the basses you mentioned, growing up had a bass, but it gotten stolen during moving, had been writing lyrics: chatting with my friends thinking of forming a band, once we get a good groove on things. Had a band name idea called " Osmium" had been writing lyrics since I was twelve.

I never heard of this group, and admittedly only watched because of Dave's look in the thumbnail. I actually like this and was pleasantly surprised.
Sorry you don't dig this stuff Dave.

Look, we all made some questionable choices during the pandemic. Nearly two and a half years of getting a clearer perspective on your taste in music and getting increasingly nervous about this request. The long queue is a cruel master. 😅
Sorry it didn't land for you, especially given the length. I am astounded by the score it earned. I know that especially now, that's not a score easily earned even if a piece of music IS your jam

Oh, the sensory pad instrument that the guitar player was using is something of his own invention. He calls it a "Modulin". it's a synth controlled via a tactile ribbon.

Yeah, this sounds like his New Age phase. Music which sounds pleasing but has no form or meter.

This is so boring. Nothing happens and then when it does it's far from enough. I almost got aggressive listening to it. Well, I cheated some by skipping some parts 😁. This is a Swedish band.
