Welcome back to another video! In today's video I wanted to show you how to color correct dark spots on dark skin. This is really a video on color correcting dark spots for beginners as I show you when and where to use each color correcting concealer. In this video, I'll only be using orange concealer to cover up dark spots on my cheeks as well as using orange concealer to cover skin discoloration around my mouth. If you have a full-coverage foundation then that might be perfect for you! But I know for me, sometimes my hyperpigmentation still shows through my foundation but this color correcting tutorial is a great fix for that issue! Not to mention in this video i'm showing you how to color correct using minimal products on your skin and how to color correct using inexpexive products. I have literally the same issue in the same areas. I’m more warm undertones. Those hyperpignented spots around my mouth are the worst. Thank you so much for the suggestion. I try not to wear too much makeup but as the older I get more hyperpigmented in those areas (cheeks and around my mouth)
Yea I don’t think there’s anything I can do about those areas unfortunately so it is what it is. A lot of people seem to have the same thing in the same areas too so we’re not alone. Thankful for makeup to even out the complexion lol! Glad I could help 😊❤️

I made the mistake of not letting it dry and once I put foundation on top it would come right off and not cover any dark spots. Thanks for the tips!

How did you find your foundation match so well??!
It was a complete guess. I got lucky because I had to eyeball it since I wasn’t able to sample in the store. I’m switching foundations tho and will be putting a video up soon once it arrives!

This is only the second video I’ve watched about correcting hyperpigmentation on dark skin. Both video talents say to use orange concealer. I didn’t even know that was an option! I’ve been going about it all wrong. I teach in a virtual environment using Google Meet, so I need to find ways to look better on camera.
Depending upon your skin complexion you use shades of orange. Obviously if you're very fair-skinned you don't want to use a deep orange shade of color correction, it will stick out underneath your foundation. Now if your skin is on the deeper darker range definitely you can use a deeper darker Orange.
What color corrector did u use?
It’s by Black Radiance but it doesn’t have a name anywhere on it. I think it’s just called “orange”?
hello congratulations for the videos ... I wanted to ask you to cover pigmentation I use orange concealer but when I apply foundation it mixes with concealer and the result is "almost orange face". do you have any tips on how i can go about covering dark spots?

How can you know what the color inside the tube is? Some tube or bottles are dark . I never use primer before, but I want to try it .
They usually all have a name. I believe this one was called Orange but you can also check for reviews. If I’m questioning a product, I always search to see someone use it who has a similar complexion as me.

Hi there! I only know that the brand is Black Radiance. It doesn’t specify the exact color/shade which is unusual but it’s just orange 🤷🏽♀️

Does this work for Asian skin or South Asian
It all depends on the tone of the skin. I recommend finding a video with someone close to your tone to see how they do it.

I noticed you didn’t use a concealer.. Why was that? I’m learning make up cause right now I’m going through skin issues. Thanks for this video. Oh, when using the color corrector doesn’t it make a difference what season it is?
I don’t use concealer over the orange because I feel like if I’m not careful, I can risk looking too “cakey” or unintentionally mixing the colors together so that’s just a personal preference but if you can use concealer successfully between the layers of orange and foundation then go for it 🙌🏾
As for the seasons, I live in LA so it doesn’t ever really get cold like that therefore I’m able to do this year-round. If I move somewhere that gets 4 seasons, I’ll have to figure something else out if this stops working for me!

I mentioned in the description the only product I was using was the orange concealer and in the video I mentioned who the concealer was by. Unless you’re referring to the foundation?
You need a normal concealer on top of the colour corrector , then apply foundation to get the best results

If you were to use concealer , would you put it on top of the color corrector or on top of your foundation?
If the foundation is liquid, I’d put the concealer on top of my foundation and blend
which color did you use? there called orange more on red and salmon more on orange

@@Teannaschannel Black radiance puts the name of their products on the wrapper. So when you take it off you don’t have the name anymore. Wish they put it on the product itself

What can I use to cover light spots on my face?
When I used to have white patches on my skin I always covered them up using the color of my liquid contour (so a darker color) and then would go over it with my usual foundation color but idk if that will work for everyone 🤷🏽♀️

I don’t remember what I used in the video but someone has asked this before if you want to scroll through the comments. I can tell you that now I use Il Makiage Woke up like this in shade 185 and it’s a PERFECT match!

You can definitely smooth it in but not blend it away to oblivion, if that makes sense. 😁
