Im a black woman but I've found yellow works better for me because of my undertone. I have a very golden undertone. Since my under eyes tend to be more "purple" almost, I've found that yellow cancels and corrects better for me than orange. I've tried orange a lot in the past since i'm black, but it always seems to affect my foundation shade. it ends up making me look like a pumpkin. I decided to try yellow one day and it changed my whole game.
Yellow corrector can be use for dark purple circles, they cancel the purple color too. I use the yellow one in my under eye circles and work very well! Kisses from Brazil 🇧🇷 😘😘
Hello hello 👋🏾! Thank you for sharing that! Yes yellow can work, and also many people mix yellow and orange to help with their dark circles as well. Thank you for watching and commenting!

Mixing the orange and peach color corrector on my skin was a game changer Orange was way too orange even if I use very little of it but I knew I still needed the orange because the peach was too light once I mixed them amazing thanks for the tips

This was so so helpful!!! As a black biracial girl that falls between yellowish undertone dark/ lighter skin the pictures helped a lot!!! What colour corrector would you recommend?
Hey sis, I did have a question. As a medium-deep toned woman, I would traditionally use an orange color corrector. But occasionally I have skin issues where the area I’m trying to cover is a light spot and not a dark spot. How do you fix something like that? Imagine if you had a super light tan line on your face, or if you had a scab come off and the area is lighter.

I always feel my darkness comes through. Light skinned with warn undertone, I have used the peachy and the natural ivory, I have also ordered the yellow. My circles are almost brown in tone with a bit of red. I always see them coming through looking grayish. Awefull!
Hello 👋🏾! If you have redness then using a green would help cancel out the redness. Also, your concealer may not be the right undertone for you if it keeps turning gray along with your dark circles.
This was a very informative video and I loved it! Do you have any advice for those of us with lots of yellow undertones? The peach is a bit lighter than I’d like and my yellow is super pronounced so much do I usually just use a bronzer or just Mac blot powder but I’d really like a bit more coverage. Thank you in advance for your help!
Hello 👋🏾! I would say mix the peach with a salmon tone or organs corrector to make it a bit deeper. Mixing corrector tones is a good way to get the perfect color for you if you feel the one you have alone isn’t good enough to nullify your dark circles. Are you using concealer over top of the color corrector?
Wow this video is amazing! I am new to makeup and you’ve explained so well. I appreciate it so much. I’ll be binge watching your videos to learn more about makeup. Btw, you’re gorgeous amd you’ve got a new subscriber 😊❤.
Hello hello 👋🏾! I like the LA color corrector because the consistency is thicker and blends very easily. I think I have tried the elf color corrector on the past, and it was just okay. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Hello 👋🏾! I just added the product link to the video. You should refresh the video and see the black radiance salmon color corrector link there. Also, you can mix the organs and pink color corrector shades together to get the salmon color as well. Thank you for watching!
Hi..... I saw your video on UA-cam randomly one day....and i m so happy that finally someone talk about dark.cicles....i have dark dark dark circles and whenever i do makeup, my dark circles turn into grey and that was very disappointing... But a biiigggg thank you ma'am that you discuss about dark circles makeup and gives tutorial... Now i have a problem i cant find "mac studio concealer NC 50". Can you suggest alternate to this please? I m waiting for your response.
Hello hello! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch my videos. If you cannot find Mac, you can also use maybelline, L’Oréal, NYX and other full coverage concealers. You will just have to find the right concealer shade for your skin tone. I use NC50 because that goes perfectly with my skin tone and covers my color corrector very well.
I just purchased the Lancôme colour corrector in shade rouge orange and as soon as I put it on, my dark circles vanished. The employee helping me told me it would be too dark for my skin tone and originally put the peche shade on me. I knew it was wrong because it didn’t neutralize my dark circles at all. After a bit of back and forth, I convinced her to let me try it. Even she was amazed how it made them disappear because that shade was supposedly only for people with the deepest complexion. I didn’t even feel like I needed concealer after I put the corrector on. Maybe I’m an unusual and unique case. 🤷🏻♂️ 😂
Hi 👋🏾! It also depends on the severity of your dark circles. Some people can have light skin but very dark blue dark circles. I always say test things out to ensure they work for you. Thank you for watching!
Hi Cammy, Thank you for posting this video. I recently got the tarte peach color corrector with the concealer but after a few hours, it started to turn grayish under my eyes. I have dark/purpleish circles esp on my right eye. would you recommend the salmon color instead of the peach?
Hello 👋🏾! If your corrector is too light it can cause the gray look. I’d suggest trying salmon or even orange because your dark circles are purple in color.
Hello 👋🏾! I have linked the projects in the video as well. LA pro girl is cheap, so I’d suggest you buy the pink and the orange corrector to mix and make the salmon color. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to leave a co
Hello I'm a fitzpatrick 4 on the skin tone chart and I have dark under eye circles, am 52 years old. Should I use a orange colour corrector? Thank you in advance for any reply....
Hello 👋🏾! Fitzpatrick skin type 4 is characterized by olive or light brown skin, dark hair, and dark eyes. I would suggest you use a peach color corrector based on the information you’ve told me.
what about just hyperpigmentation on your skin? Chin or jaw area. Because you are just saying undereye circles. Im about a shade or two darker than you. Can i use that orange color corrector on my chin???
Hello 👋🏾! You can certainly use orange color corrector on those areas and then follow up with your foundation. I focused on dark circles because that’s where my hyperpigmentation is.
Hello 👋🏾! You can mix the orange and yellow corrector shades to create a salmon shade. A similar shade is also known as “peach”. You can search for peach color corrector if you don’t see the salmon one pop up. Thank you for watching!
My dark circles still peek through peach color corrector, and orange color corrector creates a orange halo around my eyes. My dark circles are more of dark brown color, but my skin tone is light medium. I use nars tinted moisturizer in Sydney. What color corrector should I use? Thanks
Hello 👋🏾! You might need to mix orange and peach together to create the right tone for you. Secondly, how much color corrector are you using? You should only use the color corrector on the parts with the darkest hyperpigmentation and then smoothly blend it out. You might be using too much.
@@CammyjOfficial❤❤❤ thank you! The Bobbie brown color corrector stick in dark orange does a good job, as it’s closest to my skin tone. But the moment I add concealor , I see the orange band on the eyes. I use quite a bit of color corrector, otherwise, the dark circles are not cancelled. I got skin sensitivity from la pro, hence can’t experiment with the color corrector combo. Please help!
@charismaenam9759 I understand. Sorry LA gave you skin sensitivity. Have you tried any other color correctors? Are you using a full coverage concealer?
@@CammyjOfficial❤❤ Bobbie brown in dark orange, and hour glass concealor in Dune color. I have dry under eyes with lines , so if you have any alternate recommendations please share!
@charismaenam9759 I use the Mac 24 hour studio concealer. It is full coverage but it has a natural finish. I am going to be testing more color correctors to help people find more alternatives and recommendations.
Hi can you help cause this is a nagging issue for me. I don’t have like hair on my upper lip but it looks like I do since my upper lip like mustache area has a blue green hue tint and it’s really annoying. Is there any color correcting I can use to cover it up without it turning out looking grayish ashy color like a shadow-tache ?? Please answer.
Hello 👋🏾! If it’s just discoloration and nog hair, then then you should be able to use an orange or peach color corrector (depending on your skin tone) and than apply your concealer or foundation on top to hide it fully.
@@CammyjOfficial Tysm for replying really was waiting on your reply. So I have one quick question because in the color wheel many people say to cancel out the green blue grayish hue u will need to go for the red color not orange or any other color then u wanna use ur more natural foundation to cover it up with it. So no red? I’m more of a salmon color I believe. Not dark not fair med to somewhat light tan skin.
Hello 👋🏾! If it makes your makeup look red then it could be a few things: 1) orange isn’t the right color for you. You need to try peach or salmon color corrector. 2) you’re using way too much color corrector and it’s blending into your foundation
I have medium skin tone and using Vichy orange color corrector around my lips and some on my under eyes. I’m liquid foundation on it . Both color corrector and foundation are liquid. I have dry skin
Hello 👋🏾! When you say peach doesn’t work, do you mean it’s too dark and breaks through your concealer? Or do you mean it isn’t deep enough and your dark circles aren’t canceled out?
@@yuukata1698 if it’s the latter then definitely try a darker shade. You can even mix the peach with the orange rather than going straight to the orange as well. What matter most is that the tone cancels out the dark circles.
The examples used for medium to deep skin tones in your video does not include the "bright tan (high yellow) audience" viewing your content. I think I may have an idea of which color correcting product I should use but your video does not make it clear. CJ
Which color corrector shade do you think would work best for you?

Maybe I need the La girl orange cause the one I’m using is not working elf orange.
Hello hello 👋🏾! I like the LA color corrector because the consistency is thicker and blends very easily. I think I have tried the elf color corrector on the past, and it was just okay. Thank you for watching and commenting!
So informative 👏

Hi Cammy 💕
Can you please provide the link for the Salmon corrctor. I am not able to find it anywhere. Thanks in advance 🙂
Hello 👋🏾! I just added the product link to the video. You should refresh the video and see the black radiance salmon color corrector link there. Also, you can mix the organs and pink color corrector shades together to get the salmon color as well. Thank you for watching!

Is there an over the counter, orange I can get until getting the one you recommend from Amazon
Are you in the United States?
Great video
Hello and thank you! Thank you for watching 💫
I wouldn’t buy an expensive one like tarte though. LA girl or cheap and good to test out with.
@@CammyjOfficial thank you so much. I will try that. 🩷🩷
@fareema03 you’re welcome ☺️
What correction do you do first. I have both redness an hyperpigmentation. Would I neutralize the read then dark spots or vice versa.
Hello 👋🏾! Green color corrector cancels out redness. Based on your complexion a pink or peach tones color corrector would help with your dark circles.
My veins on my face worked good with this la product in green of course 😂
I really wanna learn makeup and am learning but am confused about chosing a correct number or shade of foundation and concealers
Do I need color corrector if I use full coverage concealer?
I’d you have dark circles you most likely do. Some full coverage concealers won’t cover dark circles very well and might turn gray.
Thank you. Great tutorial on color correctors.

I need the salmon shade and I can’t find it. Is it called salmon?
Excellent
Hello 👋🏾! Thank you 🙏🏾
I think red can fix my dark circles since am a little deep brown lady
Hello 👋🏾! I hope that shade works great for you.
I have a powder in orange ,will it work ?
Hello 👋🏾. It might. I’m really unfamiliar with using an orange powder on the face.
what about just hyperpigmentation on your skin? Chin or jaw area. Because you are just saying undereye circles. Im about a shade or two darker than you. Can i use that orange color corrector on my chin???
Hello 👋🏾! You can certainly use orange color corrector on those areas and then follow up with your foundation. I focused on dark circles because that’s where my hyperpigmentation is.
@@CammyjOfficial Yes, i get it. Thank you so much for responding.
@@ceeceetracey9839 you’re very welcome ☺️
Hello i'm still finding the salmon shade corrector but I can't find it. Is it still named salmon shade?
I fell like Orange CC makes my foundation look red after it dry down (new to make up)...HELP!!
Hello 👋🏾! If it makes your makeup look red then it could be a few things:
1) orange isn’t the right color for you. You need to try peach or salmon color corrector.
2) you’re using way too much color corrector and it’s blending into your foundation
Wat if medium skin tone with very dark acne spot
Hello 👋🏾! I would try using orange and then a little bit of peach together on that spot, then use your full coverage concealer after.
I need to mix mines I think
Hello 👋🏾! That’s quite common.
Thank you😊

Thank you for the quick reply . I really appreciate you. Please also help me in how to choose best foundation for dry skin
@@SimratKaur1997 what do you use to moisturize and prime your skin before you apply those things? Is the whiteness form excessively dry skin?
I’m using charlotte tilbury moisturizer and revlon hydrating primer
I have a fair skintone but peach doesn't work on me -.-
Hello 👋🏾! When you say peach doesn’t work, do you mean it’s too dark and breaks through your concealer? Or do you mean it isn’t deep enough and your dark circles aren’t canceled out?
@@CammyjOfficial Its the latter. So I should try orange right but everyone's saying its only for deep skintone and stuff :'(
@@yuukata1698 if it’s the latter then definitely try a darker shade. You can even mix the peach with the orange rather than going straight to the orange as well. What matter most is that the tone cancels out the dark circles.
Yes I will try that. Thank you for replying ❤❤
@yuukata1698 you’re welcome. Please let me know how that works for you when you do.
The examples used for medium to deep skin tones in your video does not include the "bright tan (high yellow) audience" viewing your content. I think I may have an idea of which color correcting product I should use but your video does not make it clear. CJ
