The Scariest Job on Any Car: 100 Series Land Cruiser Timing Belt, Radiator, And More

The Toyota UZ family of engines is legendary for it's reliability, comfort, and smoothness but they are all timing belt engines, meaning they require a major service every 90,000 miles. In this video, we're tackling the biggest job on this 200,000 mile Toyota Land Cruiser 100 series which has the 2UZ engine and is due for a timing belt.
I discovered the truck also needs a radiator, heater Ts, and more along the way. We're tackling this in one big go to secure my favorite car for another 90,000 miles. As it happens, a job that seems about as scary as it gets when it comes to DIY car repair project isn't so bad after all.

Regarding bad gas mileage, you should replace the upstream O2 sensors . And make sure that no air leaking somewhere after air filter going to the throttle gate . Small air leaks can make big bad gas mileage.

Thank you for the beautiful video. For your information, there are 2 holes with 10 mm in each side for draining water under the headres , in case you want to keep the new water in the future before starting this process again.😊

It was nice if you replace crank and cam shafts seals ....
Because in the future,,, if ,, I said if ,,, I hope not ,,, if crank seal or cam shafts seals leaks, you have to do this all over again, I don't know how you forgot 🤔 something like that .

Recommend you use the ats labs oil and fuel treatment did it to my old rav4 and it got it running better than when i got it and it used in 07 camry and cleaned out the piston rings and now it burns half a quart every 5k miles
