Thanks Will. This was really helpful. Not sure why people were being rude in the comments. This was handy for a graphic designer wondering if they should finally have an iPad pro as well as their desktop/laptops . I didnt see it as a review of the actual iPad and it's specs but what a graphic designer would use their iPad for. Hearing your review of illustrator on the that video was SO useful also, I couldnt imagine it would work that well after years of using AI for desktop
Keep at it, You'll become famous in no time, You have quality content plus you're smart too. Don't give up, That's what i expected as a Graphic design student
I am saving up for my first iPad, really want the m1 chip for the powerhouse that it is. I would also love to see some hand lettering content from you! Thanks for the insight! :)
I don't draw nor do I do logos or design anything but I just love your videos and now I think I need an Ipad :D dont know why but i am thinking about buying one
Only thing I would say you might have miss is LumaFusion, I know its for video, but on the creative side, its really one of the best app out there. Another one is Nomad, for 3D sculpting, now that procreate can handle 3D pieces, it's even better on ipad.
Great video Will, thanks! I've had a long hiatus from graphic design and digital artwork but am hoping to get back into it - watching your videos make me realise what's changed and how much is different but this video in particular has been really informative and has given me some direction. Thank you from Australia!
I personally really dislike Vectornator’s interface and absolutely love Affinity Designer, but overall, this was a pretty great round up of great iPad apps. 😊👍
Hej Will, i got a ipad pro 4th Gen 12.9 inch and all my design and illustration apps (vectornator, affinity designer, affinity photo, adobe fresco etc), chrome etc. runs super snappy. even photoshop. the only software which runs a bit slow for my taste is illustrator. i read the current version is quite buggy which i can partially confirm. Do you think my current ipad is powerful enough for illustrator? Best, Fritz
Hello. New to your channel. Long time user of Apple MacBook Pro’s and iPhones. Just got myself an iPad Air fifth generation with 64 GB. Is there a reason why I wouldn’t be able to use this device to run the applications listed in this video? Aside from the storage size limiting the number of file I can store on the device, would 64gb introduce performance issues that would make running these applications difficult? Thanks.
I don't see why not, if there was a storage issue then you might need to get rid of less frequently used apps or clear some space, but they should run with no issue :)
Don't listen to anything he says, he doesn't even know how much storage the device he's reviewing has. Anybody that doesn't know the most basic thing about a device he's reviewed multiple times has zero credibility.
@@willpatersondesign that doesn't mean you know anything about them. In both of your M1 iPad pro reviews I've watched you didn't know the first thing about the one you were reviewing.
Hi Will! Great video, just got one myself for design super formative video. Do you use any screen protectors? - Im struggling to find a case to fit, sceptical about putting a protector on the screen as ive been told they can ruin lettering.
Hope you guys enjoy the video!
affinity designer, affinity photo, procreate, adobe lightroom, darkroom, lumafusion, and gdrive. great combinations for me.
No ai?
Ppoetry affinity designer pra vectornator is the best replacement AI on iPad.
Ai doesn't works fine
affinity designer is an ai alternative
affinity is BETTER than adobe.

Digital planning in Goodnotes is where it’s at! 💜💜💜
Dope! I've been looking into buying one of these!
Which keyboard are you using, the one that's in the background at some part of the video 🙂
Photoleap is what got me through college. I only had the free version too lol. But it’s great. Canva is also pretty cool but is super limited
The new logo/ID is looking great! Helpful video, too; I’m ramping up with Notion as we speak. Thx as always. -JB
Great video!!
Glad you enjoyed it

I've got a new video coming out really soon with more tips for the new updated Vectornator App as well as some others :)
Do you prefer Adobe Fresco or Procreate for custom hand lettering?
Excellent video. You have a very distinctive accent, where are you from?
Thank you for sharing!
Really loves your apps

Are we gonna have video on the Meta brand identity soon, Will?😩

What is the best Page Layout program (such as inDesign) for iOS?
Affinity Publisher

Thank you for this. I didn’t feel like you was trying to sell me on anything…
what storage size do you recommend on the new iPad Pro
without breaking the bank? Or best budget move is to use cloud storage? Thank you....
Just the baseline iPad :)

Seeing this on a samsung tab S7: 😐
Nothing is on the ipad. Nothing at all. What ipad?
❤❤❤❤
early!!!
I disliked this video but no one will ever know.
Oh, wait...
Superficial demo, skimming on the apps, no conclusion. Wste of time.
Glad you liked the video :)
