Don't be afraid of the Kuutar, it is an easy pattern, lace looks complicated, but it is easy to follow. And the sweater looks great, and sophisticated.
If you do the balloon cardigan you should do a knit along! I 100% am going to knit that too and it would be so fun to do it with other women my age / life stage (having young kids / newborns!) ❤❤
That was a lovely collection, thank you. I rediscovered ozetta patterns recently and I'm in love! I have sooo many plans for this fall, I'm sure I won't be able to do half the things, but I'm excited nonetheless :P
I love cardigans too! I fell in love with ozettas cardigans and am making her field day jacket right now. I have been wanting to make the petite knit one too 🥰
It's kinda crazy that I'm knitting the hazel sweater with knitting for olive's merino and mohair IN THE SAME OCHER BROWN COLOUR I had to pause the video to comment (6:58)
I’m new to knitting and love the moody video and fall inspo, thank you! 🍁❤ PS. I’m also in TX and I also used to live in the PNW. I miss it. I want to go back and visit all the indie yarn shops and stock up but my wallet will hate me, lol. 😅
I need to finish my second sock. I started another pair of shorty socks. I have Konrad the Bull to finish crocheting (before the kid is an adult), I have my second Virus Shawl that I need to finish. I bought some REALLY ugly yarn from Michaels that was on clearance to knit The Falling Leaves Sweater for Christmas. I have the yarn for the Ali’s Sweater by S. Knits. And I just purchased (for my birthday 9/2) several skeins of sock yarn. I also kinda want to knit the Bright Side Sweater by Melissa Clulow & Mona Schimidt as a practice sweater because I’ve never knitted a sweater from the top down before. I’m looking for some inexpensive fingering weight yarn (about 1600+yds) to practice top down with. I’m tired of feeling intimidated by certain aspects of knitting, lol. You’re a total inspiration and remind me of myself, I kinda wish you could have shown us the cat though, lol. Happy knitting 🧶 Edit: I found the perfect yarn for the Bright Side Sweater at Wool Warehouse, it should be here in the next 2 weeks.
I love your channel. Love this cosy video 🥰 I totally get what you're saying about not wanting to knit garments. I'm almost 41 weeks pregnant and my body is so different I wouldnt know what size to cast on. I've had to give on socks too because my feet have swollen so badly! I've made loads of baby stuff though. X
You must try brioche! I recently finished the November vest by Petit Knit. It's all over brioche and I had never done brioche before.. But it was really easy! If I can do it, you can do it!!
I love brioche! I just learned last week when I fell in love with a scarf pattern that was perfect for fancy yarn I've had stashed for three years. To learn the stitch, I made the Brioche Basix Scarf on Ravelry and I really enjoyed the pattern. It was a little confusing/complicated for the first day or two but I quickly found the rhythm of it and absolutely adored working it. My advice is, watch some videos first and try to understand what you're actually doing to the fabric; just blindly following the instructions can be pretty confusing. Also, I would suggest trying a hat or scarf (round vs. flat) before diving into a whole sweater. It's not hard, just weird and confusing until you actually know what you're doing, and that just seems like a lot to figure out with sweater shaping on top of it!
Speaking of hot chocolate, I'd love to recommend the Stephen's brand. They have many different flavors and it's a delightfully rich sipping chocolate. They're local to Utah, so I'm not sure how far spread they are out of the state. The peppermint flavor is my favorite.
You might want to check out Drops - they have affordable mohair in decent quality. I love to use their Brushed Alpaca Silk - holding it double gives around same gauge as three strands of mohair (and I find it feels softer on my skin than mohair). Oh and you pronounce Sari Nordlund quite well ;) Thank you for the lovely episode!
Oh my gosh five minutes before you started talking about it in the video, I decided I wanted to drive to Bellingham because it looked like they had a lot of nice yarn stores! And then you mentioned it! Fate, right?!
WHOAH that’s wild - you definitely should!! WildFibres in kinda close to Bellingham too in downtown Mt. Vernon. You could just make a day out of hitting yarn stores in that area 😂
Every single thing almost on this list I have or have saved we gave very similar taste 😂 also don’t feel bad about not buying mohair, I never do either I will drop 25-28 on a skein of nice hand dyed yarn for a treat but I just can’t justify personally the double cost of getting mohair but one day I would love to try it
That’s amazing 😂 yes mohair can get costly!! I think I do need to try drop alpaca though. It seems pretty cheap on wool warehouse (not sure about shipping though 😅)
Hey! Do you ever knit your socks two at a time?? I had the same issue of never knitting the second one, or them turning out different when I finally did knit the second, because I’m a terrible note-taker… and then I discovered knitting them two at a time and now its my absolute favorite kind of project! Also pregnant and also loving knitting all the baby things! Thanks for such a lovely podcast (always)! Also- I love the color palettes you choose for your projects!
I haven't actually! I think I should try it though at least one time and see how it feels. That's awesome it got you into knitting more socks!! Ahh congrats! And thank you :)
your hot chocolate takes are smth for sure 😅 I dont have a go to hot chocolate for home but where i live we have a chocolate store that doubles as a hot chocolate cafe. I also sometimes melt chocolate with milk at home if im in a chocolatey mood :)
Fellow Texan, definitely not in the mood for hot drinks, I’m still enjoying iced lattes by the pool!☀️ When I do drink hot cocoa I do 2 tbsps quality cocoa and 2 tbsps maple syrup with some cinnamon and I whisk with a cup of whole milk, it’s the best and I never run out!
I love coffee but not from Starbucks, sorry. Just bought the chocolate mix for my daughter in law. My favorite hot chocolate is, pure chocolate ( from a 🍫) with milk, in a pan and mix till hot and foamy.
Do you have ADHD? Because you literally sound EXACTLY like me, it’s wild. I’m so distracted by different projects always and can’t ever keep my goals for projects I’m superrrr excited about in the beginning. Honestly, it’s too bad that I don’t live in Texas anymore bc I think that we would be best friends lmao 😂😅
I love mushroom hunting and little mushroom prints!!!
SAME!!
Thank you for showing me all these lovely patterns I will go back and look for them. I’m looking forward too seeing more videos.
Don't be afraid of the Kuutar, it is an easy pattern, lace looks complicated, but it is easy to follow. And the sweater looks great, and sophisticated.
That’s good to know!! Maybe I’ll cast it on one of these days :)
The magic toadstool socks are gonna be one of my next cast ons 🍄💕 I'm obsessed with socks right now!
I just purchased 4 skeins of sock yarn for my birthday! I too am obsessed.
SAME, I think those might be my next cast ons too!!
If you do the balloon cardigan you should do a knit along! I 100% am going to knit that too and it would be so fun to do it with other women my age / life stage (having young kids / newborns!) ❤❤
Thank you for your video. It inspired me to cast on for fall.
Aw for sure, that makes me so happy!
you should try knitting for olive mohair. It's super super soft
The first is my list too. The colors and patterns you've chosen are gorgeous 😍
No way! And thanks!
I like the September jacket. Thanks for the rec
Oooh the September jacket looks so nice too! And for sure!
Starbucks Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate is my favorite! Target has a great doop as well.
I haven’t tried that flavor yet!!
That was a lovely collection, thank you. I rediscovered ozetta patterns recently and I'm in love! I have sooo many plans for this fall, I'm sure I won't be able to do half the things, but I'm excited nonetheless :P
Aw of course! SAME HERE!!
I can't live without Land O Lakes hot chocolate in the cold weather. Seriously the best flavors, I always drink the salted caramel flavor ☺
I haven’t tried that one, I’ll put it on my taste test list 😜
I love cardigans too! I fell in love with ozettas cardigans and am making her field day jacket right now. I have been wanting to make the petite knit one too 🥰
That’s awesome, I’m sure it’ll be so cozy :)
It's kinda crazy that I'm knitting the hazel sweater with knitting for olive's merino and mohair IN THE SAME OCHER BROWN COLOUR I had to pause the video to comment (6:58)

Ahh hello fellow prior PNW resident now Texan! 😂 it’s quite different isn’t it?? Lol. Same here!
Not the creepy neighbor, but his cat creeping on you😂😂😂.
Haha he’s actually really sweet we just make awkward eye contact sometimes 😂😂

Finishing socks is so much harder than starting them, lol! Oh my gash so many wips, that's exciting!! Haha happy knitting to you too!
You should look at the reluctant homeschooler by Caitlin Hunter. It’s a bulky weight raglan cardigan. I made my cropped and I love it
oooh I'll check it out, thanks!
I love your channel. Love this cosy video 🥰
I totally get what you're saying about not wanting to knit garments. I'm almost 41 weeks pregnant and my body is so different I wouldnt know what size to cast on. I've had to give on socks too because my feet have swollen so badly!
I've made loads of baby stuff though. X
Thank you! Oh my gash congrats - that’s exciting!! YES exactly, literally no idea. Baby stuff is so much fun to make :)
Congratulations
I just recently started following you here and on ig and youre making feel the urge to learn to knit!
Do ittttttt!!! You just might be hooked for life 🙃
You must try brioche! I recently finished the November vest by Petit Knit. It's all over brioche and I had never done brioche before.. But it was really easy! If I can do it, you can do it!!
That’s awesome!! Brioche will definitely be in the near future for me!

That’s awesome!! Haha yes my impatient self definitely needs to practice on something small first 😂 thanks for this brioche inspo :)
That’s how I felt about sock knitting until I buckled down and watched some UA-cam videos.
Speaking of hot chocolate, I'd love to recommend the Stephen's brand. They have many different flavors and it's a delightfully rich sipping chocolate. They're local to Utah, so I'm not sure how far spread they are out of the state. The peppermint flavor is my favorite.
Oooh I just might have to see if I can source them online or something!!
I love Starbucks hot chocolate. I get the tin from Costco! Enjoyed your video.
yay hello fellow Starbucks hot chocolate lover! and thank you!

I think you’re right, I need to try that one soon! I’ve heard such good things about it. Thanks for your kind words and for watching :)

Green and Blacks hot chocolate. Sweet, but goooooood xxxx
I'll have to try it!!

what is the sweater name, and pattern in the cover image of the video?
As far as hot chocolates, I like to do two packs of Swiss Miss mixed in my Choc Full O Nuts Coffee. it is heavenly!!!!
Um that just sounds amazing. Like caffeinated hot chocolate!!
Also if no one has said… it is sari nordland like “sorry” nordland 😊
Fellow Texan, definitely not in the mood for hot drinks, I’m still enjoying iced lattes by the pool!☀️ When I do drink hot cocoa I do 2 tbsps quality cocoa and 2 tbsps maple syrup with some cinnamon and I whisk with a cup of whole milk, it’s the best and I never run out!
Haha fair enough - it's definitely still summer out there 😂 ooh that sounds so good!!
Cardigans would be versatile during and after pregnancy
Yes for sure! I’m 90% certain a cardigan will be my next cast on
I love coffee but not from Starbucks, sorry. Just bought the chocolate mix for my daughter in law. My favorite hot chocolate is, pure chocolate ( from a 🍫) with milk, in a pan and mix till hot and foamy.
Haha I actually meant hot chocolate - I agree with ya on the coffee! 😂 ooooh I will have to try that!!
I think you want to check out how your podcast looks before you upload it as i honestly couldn't see you.
Haha oh I did! It was definitely a little darker ‘cause of the rain - but oh well, that’s life :) hopefully will get some sunshine for the next one!
