It's crazy how far barbers have gone from eyeballing it or using the mirror method to now using a machine to zero gap their trimmer blades. Not knocking, just making an observation.

Always eyeballed my zero gaps. Then followed up with the fingernail test. If the fingernail just barely catches the fixed blade while rubbing nail up to both corners of the cutting blade, good to go. But I'm intrigued by your video, you have caught my attention. I may have to change up my tactics.

If you buy a sc instinct trimmer it comes with a zero gap tool. Are you familiar with it or used it before? Of so what are your thoughts on it? If using that tool from stylecraft is the microscope still necessary?

If you modify the blade and back it off a little so it’s not perfectly zero gapped it won’t snag at all or very little

So I have one of those rich barber gadgets now at one time it was only recommended for certain blade, will it work on all blades? I like to use it on my jrl trimmer blade

Dope video! But it's funny how I used the microscope plus made a tool to set my blades and this guy (not naming names) had my tool on his IG live and said I was bad for the industry. But I made it because I was impressed with him and his work...this was about a year ago. And I still use my tool to this day
