12 year old girl gets tractor ready for the season | In 9 MINUTES! WILL IT STILL RUN??

  • Homeschooling isn’t always books and computer work. Out here on the farm / homestead we like to teach our daughters to be as well rounded as possible.
Tylynn our 11 year old daughter changes oil and filter along with the fuel filter on our L4400 Kubota.
Tylynn overheard me talking about how I have been putting off changing the oil and fuel filter on our tractor and she insisted that she wanted to do it!
My first thought was I just need to get it done and don’t have time to show her how. But then something spoke to my inner dad self and said, “Don’t be such a deadbeat dad and let your fast growing daughter change that oil!” After doing so and editing this video with her I just realized how awesome the experience was and that I need to remember more often to just slow down and give my time to who and what really matters in life.
Our kids need our time more than anything.

I feel like most of us watch this and have to smile because we all know there isn’t enough content like this. Good quality teaching and such hard working young girls mature beyond their years. Awesome every time Dad uploads. She looked like she’s did it before and confident…I like that! And it’s flipflops and bare feet for this fam when no snow is in the ground…gotta love it! Y’all take care and can’t wait for the next videos! Oh and hope the cows are getting fat! God bless

    Heck yeah, Tylynn! Great Job!
I think as a Farm Dad, you should have these kinds of tests for the girls since they are homeschooled on a farm, like a GED Farm test. Great Job, Dad! They can shoot, farm the animals, prep meat, hunt, change oil, build goat and cattle pens, and drive tractors, basic survival skills for life. LOVE IT! I also think all kids in schools should take the U.S. citizenship test. If other foreign people can take the test to become a US Citizen, shouldn't we all be able to pass it as a basic of being born here? I would give it a go. Should be a high school basic test, like a GED requirement.

A joy to watch🤗 Great parenting as always. If only every girl had such a great dad! And yes, boys need such dads too. Kids are our future. We have them, we raise them, and there will be inevitably the time where we cant help but retire from the helm and let them take over. That time is kind of a payday. You will then reap what you sowed all this years ago.
A lack of lubrication is the fastest way to ruin a combustion engine. But the oil is also for cooling, because it reaches places, like the piston having the biggest thermal load, which the coolant cant reach. The piston rings cant do much to transfer heat into the engine block. The oil running through the engine block gets cooled down and might then be sprayed against the cranks and pistons, lubricating and cooling them in one go.
