Just a bit of constructive critique Jim, every time Joel touches the table it comes through the mic. You need some kind of buffer between the table and mic stand. Great podcast.

In over 200 episodes. that's never happened that way before. I could put shock mounts on the mics, but there aren't really decent looking ones for the type of mic we use. There wasn't much I could do to filter it out in post without cutting into his voice.
I fully agree with you, the way that it laced with his voice would have been impossible to remove without either eliminating his voice or making him sound like he was talking into a tube full of water. I've been there as well, and you made due the best you could.
