Paid msrp in June 24… Same car and color. Changed the ADM to type S. It’s amazing and I have had all kinds of cars. You can’t beat it at msrp if you can get it.
This car would be entirely different if it had all-wheel drive. Less drama, more components, and heavier. The Type R has always been regarded as the greatest, most enjoyable front wheel drive vehicle.
Any options for not getting any wing/spoiler? I like how you also mentioned things it does NOT come with: heated front or rear seats, no auto dimming rearview mirror and no homelink. Also the glovebox is not lockable? I like to leave my wallet there and lock it when I go for runs. Subaru at least offers all of this for my “ugly” 2022 WRX. I have to drive one to be “sold”. Nice honest review!
Where you live affects the variety of colors. White is the most sought-after color here in New Mexico. Additionally, championship white is a unique heritage color for many Hondas. Back in the day, a lot of type R came in that color.
@@ShakeemAndCars yes the Type R EK9 came in white because it was the only color at the time in 97. It's 2024 now I see why ppl are starting to go towards the Integra Type S it has so many good looking colors and you don't just see white ones. White just looks too much like regular traffic to most people in 2024.
I feel the same, which is why I brought the GR86 before they disappeared forever thanks to regulations. It's more raw and reminds me of my old dc2r, just a pure drivers car with no driver mode and driver assistant crap. The new Civic is fast and all, but it got so much luxury tech that it has lost the Type R formula.
8k market adjustment is crazy
I’ve seen 20K
@@ShakeemAndCars that doesn't make it acceptable lmao, plus right now dealer delusion averages 5k on CTRs, but you can find them for MSRP in Ohio.
I agree
@@progpogs PA too
It's completely made up too.

Bought the 2024 a few months ago. Absolutely love it
Congratulations!
Great demonstration
Fantastic review!
Thank you for watching!
Coming from a Evo guy, man I want this car and I would sell my Evo 9 for this. But the markup on all these FL5s is a downer.
Finding one at MSRP or even less is possible if you shop all over the country. I would adore owning an Evo 9.
Imagine if it had awd 😅 ultimate daily and awesome car

So the new Type R comes with that red and black stick. I like how the other brush nickel color looks... Interesting!
They don’t it’s just an accessory you can add from Honda
@@ShakeemAndCars ohhh okay, that makes it worth it, in hot or really cold weather!!

if you dont want the wing spoiler and want some the features i mentioned the Civic Type R doesn’t have look into the Acura Integra type S
Very Beautiful car
It sure is!
Are there any differences between the 2023/4 vs 2025?
no diffrence just the year
Is the Type-R eventually going to get the updates the other Civics got? In case I missed it.
Proabaly for the 2026 model
That's the only interior color available!
Yes
Elantra N way to go
Yeah right. not with octane learning. I’d rather wait for msrp. Lmao!!😂😂
If you review a performance car can you show us the engine?
I do quick walkthroughs with an emphasis on features.
Fk8 is much cooler than new model. Im sad i can not buy fk8 anymore.
You can still purchase pre owned. I prefer the FL5 over the FK8
I got one
Whats the difference between 24 to 25?
No difference
What's the price on this one?
More than you can afford pal……….Ferrari.
Smoke em...
$55,205
@@ShakeemAndCars are you all marking up the type R's?
@tman8580 yes
8 k markup for a civic fuck that!
8k is crazy I’ve seen more too
Model 3 performance all the way! F the TypeR 😂
Two entirely different cars for different people.
Why is Championship White the only color ppl have at dealerships? Where are all the Pearl Black ones?? White is so blah!

Not a fan of the new Honda it's lost its way has all kit but looks like a family car not a hot hatch it just doesn't work
I am glad Honda continues to produce something like this in this world of cross-overs.

Does this involve human trafficing, prostitution and extortion to pay for the markup of the car? 🤔
All of those together definitely is more than 5K
@@ShakeemAndCarsI figured 😅
Too bad its a manual or else i would've consider getting one
Both the new TLX and a used 2.0 Accord with the same motor as the type R are available with automatic transmissions.
I’ve never heard someone say this😂 times changing
@@tinrockS100fr 🤣 i’m 22 n my only complaint is it had a electronic parking brake
@@ShakeemAndCarsthe K20C1 is only available in the CTR & ITS. I think the K20C4 comes in the TLX and the Accord Sport.
@@tinrockS100the kids today don’t care about knowing how to drive. All they care about is going fast in a straight line. 🤷🏾♂️
