The Democratic National Committee is moving ahead with a plan to virtually nominate Joe Biden ahead of the Democratic convention in Chicago despite growing calls for him to step aside and as a new Associated Press poll shows nearly two-thirds of Democrats want Biden to withdraw from the race following his disastrous debate with Donald Trump. Top Democrats including Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are reportedly privately lobbying for Biden to step aside. With Biden as the presidential candidate, "Democrats have a vanishingly thin chance of recapturing the House," says Chris Lehmann, who rejoins us to discuss the "unprecedented" and contentious fight over Biden's reelectability occurring within the Democratic Party ahead of its convention next month.

Bernie sued the DNC, the court case came before a judge, the judge dismissed the case. The judge stated there is not court case because nothing illegal was done. The DNC can nominate anyone they want regardless of primary election results. In case you been out of the loop for a couple decades, the GOP, Democratic, No Labels, and Libertarian parties are all owned and operated by the plutocratic donors. We have not had a representative form of democracy since 1996. That is the year the balance of power tipped towards the plutocratic donors as they took complete and total control of our whole society. Since 1996, we have a donor owned plutocracy. Donors made their bribes with donation/contributions to campaign and PACs illegally until 2010 and 2012 when the SCOTUS made those contributions legal, secret, and unlimited. Our government is run on a system of legalized bribery. Every member of Congress is beholding to the big money donors who 'own' that party they run on. That means our entire Congress is owned and operated by the big donors. Even Bernie Sanders is part of this donor owned charade. Bernie Sanders will never get a nomination from the DNC.
