Love from Jamaica, Dominica!!! Stay beautiful! 🇩🇲🇯🇲
I didn't know Jamaicans knew about other Caribbean Islands.
John Be nice 😏😆🤪
@@Jay-hr3rh if you lived in the best place on earth what’s the point lol

@@subconsciousexpress876 I'm just talking shit for fun.
Dominica is so beautiful we may not have tall skyscrapers las Vegas lifestyle etc but I love it so no other country compares to our nature & mountains
truth b told exactly!!
las vegas is fake and rapes the planet..dominica is real and wholesome
True
Dominica has a low crime rate and it is very safe, Maria put us down But we got back up
Dominica was one of the islands that some of my ancestors migrated to in the 1700s and among other islands as well. I dream and hope to visit there someday with my family.
I am Garifuna from Honduras. I learned that my people come from the Caribbean during a lecture many years ago. I got very excited when the kalinago guy mentioned about the Garifunas.
Franklin the word Kalinago is the exact same word Garinagu.
Ahhh my country, truly a beauty! I tell my American friends all the time that I had the best child hood ever. Swimming in the river everyday, picking fruits, fishing, cooking food on the beach, drinking coconuts, and breaking almonds that fell in the river, riding the waves in the sea. Even after hurricanes, I would run outside to see the villagers helping each other out. I have never seen people who come together and help each other out like Dominicans. Mwen aimie pais mwen! (I love my country)
Great to hear everything is good even after hurricane.
Howell i canry samen good you old parent?
❤
Are you Dominicans as well? I am from Dominican Republic. Your country is the one with the closer name to mine. We are like Gambia and Zambia. 😅
My love always for the Caribbean people 😍😍 from India.
What an absolutely beautiful island. Must be protected at all costs.
My father was born on the island of Dominica came to America just before the beginning of World War II. As a child my parents took us down there twice from Detroit Michigan. I've been down there two times as an adult.
It's a beautiful Island. Not alot of tourist running around. I'm 7O years old retired. Been thinking about packing up my bags and moving to Dominica
I don't blame yours I'm thinking the same thing. I mean, what do we have to lose? Not much from what I can tell. I just checked and Dominica has 18 reported cases and zero deaths from the pandemic. I hope that information is accurate.
@@IMSiegfried it is accurate
Simply stunning and intriguing all at once. What a beautiful and unspoiled country. As a Jamaican I wish my country had kept most of its charms like Dominica. Keep it that way guys,so beautiful..
Respect coming from Jamaica
no doubt Dominica is a splendid island to visit, it looks like a pearl in the ocean.
Love From Cambodia🇰🇭 I never knew this country before. It’s very attractive.
Kimchheng ohh where are you from?

Great documentary absolutely touching very captivating to the soul..love Dominica🇩🇲🇩🇲🇩🇲 nature island of intrigue
This island is the most BEAUTIFUL ISLAND in the entire Caribbean, and the natives still live there and are respected.
¿Ya conociste a Quisqueya la bella?
Its so different than most of the world. People seem relaxed and at peace. I guess it is a trade off
From Dominica, in Kingshill, near the capital. Love this vid. I feel so proud to be from this beautiful country, with generous and strong people.

This video did my country justice you deserve a trophy 🏆🏅🏆
Thanks!
Beautiful island...and people...
Tks
Can’t wait to visit Dominica again! Was there 3 years ago and it’s fascinating. The Boiling Lake is one of the most stunning places I’ve ever been to.
That's the best documentary I've seen so far
I love ❤️ Dominica
Just to make sure......Christopher Columbus did not discover Dominica......the Caribs and arawaks did....😒
The white man ignorance and arrogance amazes me....And unfortunately will can't run from it.
True...as a descendant of arawaks and Taino people
To the millions of people living in the vastly more ancient human lands of Asia, Europe, and Africa, who for tens of thousands of years knew nothing about the Americas, was the revelation of new massive continents and endless islands not in fact a "discovery"? What is the proper word for this situation? Is there a better word for revealing such astonishing news to the peoples of the rest of the world?
Great point skullking
And tainos
I'm living in Dominica, canefield, amazing documentary
this doc had me in tears..
Hearing the native speak, I closed my eyes, and I felt what he was speaking :(
I am white.. I am sorry what my ancestors have done :(
Know I am not them.. and I love you.
Thanks for your words. I know that piece is long and will lose attention of many but he was very articulate and what he said was important to hear. No one has commented on him until now. So I thank you for that!
Your anscestors did nothing they were slaves
@Kevin Kozak Name calling is what you do when you've nothing better to argue with.
@@IMSiegfried well I mean there is an argument to be made he just resorted to name calling as opposed to anything constructive.
The argument is a minority group of a people do not define and designate that race's place in history or it's ethos. One should never have to apologise for their race. It is historically true only a small minority of the European people actually made their way to the Americas and fewer still who were not conquistadors or mercenaries on expeditions actually took part in the abuse and killing. That isn't to say it wasn't a horrible thing but often Europeans are stereotyped as having been irredeemable as a people. It is unlikely any given white person's ancestors were among that group. Furthermore, to complicate the issue the majority of the descendants of those abusers and conquistadors, who have them as their ancestors *won't even be white*. They're mixed European-Native (otherwise known as Latino/Hispanic/Mestizo). That isn't even beginning to mention the fact that every race in history has had a minority group commit some sort of atrocity at some point or another.
The whole apologising for your race is predicated on such nonsense. This is coming from a mixed race (albeit Tamil-European) person myself.
To me its not stupid to apologise as first of all the west still abuse and enslave through their deals and negotiations, and the descendants of these killers and murderers still get benefits from what their ancestors did. @@subsnovideoschallenge-kb7st
I came here because I wanted to see what Dominica looked like before the hurricane. God will see you through this. 🙏🙏

Lots of love. Dominica! ! From St Vincent and the Grenadines
Thank you for showing my beautiful Island. I moved away so long ago and visit are infrequent that I had forgotten some things and even learn new ones.
The Kalango Native Amerindian was too handsome! It makes me think of the beauty these island hold. That beauty matches the original inhabitants who sadly were deminished over time except in Dominica. But not to downplay the beauty of all on the video so kind all of them 😘
Proud dominican...well done
I live in Dominica😊 it is truly beautiful
I want to retire in dominica
I have a close friend that lives there
This island looks rich, green, seem like lots of rainfall.
An island of astounding beauty. The people are amazing and Lena is a saint. I sure hope the damage done by hurricane Maria is not too great.
I go there for work, that island is so beautiful and relaxing..jungle bay resort is beautiful and relaxing...I fell in love with my room, Ms Judy, the manager at jungle bay is so welcoming
Sounds wonderful & thanks for the recommendation on where to stay when I visit there in the not too distant future, I hope.

We've been through hard times but God has kept us
Beautiful video, great island Dominica. 👍🙏
This is so well done... Makes me want to visit Dominica 🇩🇲 now... Love the story of how the kalinago's also helped freed slaves... The Syrian man's story... And that lady! Her grand father was a slave... Look at that... Does one see how slavery isn't that long ago? She's not even 75
Thanks so much ennisel, I really appreciate comments like yours. Glad you really got all the stories. I found them fascinating too, it's why they made the final cut.
1 slavery was about 100 years ago i believe so she most likely meant her great great granfather
2 dont come during he huricane season
La Mancha Media; yeah my mum and brother loved it too... Keep up the good work. I've playlisted the others to watch. Shalom 🖖🏾
