As a Marshallese living in America for most of my life. We come here with only are passport and not much support from the same country that really broke us physically and emotionally. We are even denied from America’s resource when we apply. We don’t want your hand out but maybe help are people from poverty because we do not want to come to America and have to raise are kids who we want to go to school and become leaders in are Homeland some day but it’s hard when we have to start of in rough cities in America that takes are kids culture and respect that leads them to drugs and prison. America please listen to are cries and stop turning the other cheek and ignore any further.🙏🏽🇲🇭
You want America to become less cruel? Hah! Good luck with that!
@@veroniquebellamy4741- Not just cruel, but come out of the sheep-like skin and show it to the world that your skin is red, a dragon tail attached to the lower back, and two sharp things on both side-top of your head.
As an American that was born and raised here I got nothing and was born into nothing. My point good fucking luck trying to make it here with nothing. Better off on an island.
I was on Ebeye as a mission teacher in 1995. I left very angry with the U.S. as I saw how it had severely disrupted Marshallese life for generations. A beautiful island nation, scarred by occupied experimentation. I often wonder how I would feel now if I went back there. Thank you for this video. More people should see it. It is very accurate.
I'm watching this today..its may 1st 2020...that nuclear testing was in may 1st 1954....god bless the Marshallese...be strong brother and sister...luv from chuuk...
Thank you
This is really interesting to me. Having worked there at the Kwajalein Police Department for over 13 years for the US Department of Defense. Also raising a family with Marshallese ancestry too. From US American Air Force Security Police Military Veteran. GOD bless Marshall Islands and GOD bless America.
Wow. Another excellent installment from this wonderful channel. Touching, thought-provoking, absolutely brilliant. Thank you La Mancha- my thoughts will be with the Marshallese for the weeks to come.
Thanks for your great review!
Thank you for making this video of my beautiful country...now the world will see how our lives have been scared since that bomb landed..help us!!!
My people are so humble yes we complain here and there but despite what we went through in history it never define us nor made us turn against anyone at all and we will continue to be humble that’s why not a lot of people know about us yes we know our history but we prefer looking forward and not live in the past, I love my God and my people shout out to all the Marshallese out there in this world y’all are amazing and badasses
I had a marshalese friend several years ago while working at a casino. She was a beautiful person who had since passed away from cancer.
Your work as documentary filmmakers is absolutely terrific: important, clearly and simply done, letting people tell their stories about a whole part of the world that, for those living on the continent is largely unknown. Fabulous. Thank you.
Thank you! Glad somebody out there gets what we're doing. It sort of sociology. More to come in a few months on small former Portuguese islands.
Global warming brought me here! I care about mankind and I pray for them! I welcome you to my country America
La to the Bay Thanks I’m already here! I like that name! The Bay baby! 1 Thousand!
Theres no such thing as global warming stop watching fake news and what "they" want u to believe
@@isee-.-333 BINGO....A scam to enslave us all...
Guam rose a foot out of ocean a few years back due to earthquake. Don't believe all this. They were saying we were going into a new "ice age" back in the 70s.
Thank you very much
You're sure Marshall Island people approved the Atomic testing in their back yard?
Beautiful beach, wish I could just sit there and enjoy
I'm with you:)
Excellent. Superb. And amazing work. Keep it up!
Thank you for posting this
Why did the US not relocate them far from the testimg site. Or why did they not look for a more isolated place to test their atomic bombs. Maybe they really deliberately made them test subjects. So in human
This issue is larger then the natives who lived on these Islands, this issue is worldwide and it needs to be taught in all high schools as to what the US did over there. I knew they did nuclear testing, even H-bomb, but I did not know how many tests they did? This video said they did over 60 tests? That is incredible they blew up that many atomic tests over there. Furthermore I bet 98% of people do not know that the military was looking to do nuclear testing in Alaska? Yes, Alaska back in the early 50's I believe. They wanted to blow up over 100 bombs up there in the permafrost areas. The military is out of control and more so today then ever. The military is out from under civilian control, that's the key, the Congress does nothing to interfere with military plans.
His really sad for us Marshallese people's in United States we're trying to applying for healthy resources in Arizona State they said we can't why.
We’ll im Marshallese and my dad has been born in Marshall island and my dad was 14 when that explosive happened
wow dude
These are neat videos. However, the title, "America's Compact Countries", is misleading because these aren't US territories, they're sovereign nations that have close, contract-based quid pro quo partnerships with the US. For the Marshall Islands and the Federated States of Micronesia, the partnership contracts are 20 years long and expire in 2023 - at which time the partnership agreement might be renewed with a new contract, or MI and FSM could choose to not renew their partnerships with the US. For Palau, there isn't a set expiration date of the partnership agreement, but it's subject to reviews and Palau or the US could terminate their involvement in the partnership if they decided to. The next review for the Palau-US partnership agreement is set to occur 2024 - 2025.
Thanks for your input. I got a lot of flack for naming as I did. I am glad you actually watched them. You can see that in fact the data in them is factually correct and they are named properly. Title naming is a simple thing and it matches my earlier videos. Its not supposed to be a possessive use of the term America.
@@lamanchamediatube You could also modify titles of each video, as the usage of 's indicates the possessive sense. America's Compact Agreement Partners, perhaps.
This is the history they don't teach you
And that became your country was a testing ground for weapons. locals has nothing to do because they were fooled by greedy ambitions.. im so sorry telling this.. may GOD heal this country..
I feel bad for my fellow Micronesian's. The U.S. nuclear testings have really effected both economically and culturally. As storms surge move through the Western Pacific it will bring toxic leaks from down there to Guam.
..and beyond.
Excellent !
2:34 Looks like the Florida Keys
actually does lol
Thanks a lot. :D
And us Marshallese people's need support from those people's in Phoenix Arizona because we need help for us looking for health resources in Phoenix Az but is really hard for us Marshallese people's in Arizona State so please we need a support for us to help us find the way to have health resources for us in Phoenix Az state if someone out there can helping us here.

It’s crazy because the people in the US don’t know about us, why? Why aren’t they teaching these things in history class?
They teach only teach leftie/commie BS in the U.S. nowdays...kids get out of school and are dumber than sh$t
couldnt get through this 19 minute video due to the shear number of ads.
They could have detonated in so many places other than there. First place that comes to mind are all the known uninhabited Islands in the s. Pacific
I think they were also interested in the effects on humans but were not allowed to talk about it. Should have bombed the Japs one more time though, if anything, and not these innocent people
I think those are the most beautiful islands probarbly in the world... But well if it goes under US dont expect it will be beautiful... It will get tested...
Should make a Go Fund Me account for these people
An eye opener, what USA did in the Pacific islands is the same situation right now on what China is doing in South China Sea's islets and reefs.
Bikini atoll. Is that where the name comes from?
Yes, Bikini is not an English word it comes from the Marshallese language
Any MARSHLESE?
Angie Gang I am
What is the radiation that exists there today? The yanks are bad at cleaning up after themselves. Is it safe to swim in the water?
How did the Soviets deal with the local villages in their hydrogen bombs?

Is it safe to go?!
Paul Carter yes it is

Thanks for watching. Arno is peace and serenity!

@@kirdeneljuda8546 another atoll in the Marshall Islands, a few minutes sail from Majuro, the capital city.
That was not 67 bomvs. There ere 86 bombs.
majuro atoll is bombed but the radius of its effect is humongous affecting its surrounding islands two hundred miles is obliterated. women give's birth to jelly babies.
Take your wars to your own land.
sad, what humans create to destroy
Thank you for making this video of my island & people, And sharing it to the world.
Yea majol people are sharing it but why would they bomb our island?!
Naphtali Exiled what do you mean....?
I'm from yap.. And I'm happy our canoe traditions is still strong.. And we sail through stars which means we sail more farther.. And it's really reliable.. But yeah 🙁🙄😞
Interesting stuff. Unfortunately, I had to depend on my curiosity to find this information out. Should be well known.
shilohwillcome I really want to go here.
I'm from sackdab in the middle of the usa (iowa)
But somehow feel drawn to this series of islands.
As far as I know my dad and uncle served in armed forces.
I dont have a relationship with either. Or get any info when I bring it up.
But something is drawing me here.
Marshalls has a consulate in Northwestern Arkansas because so many islanders were relocated to that part of the US. Kwajalein Atoll is home to an important part of the US’ ballistic missile defense infrastructure.
I am American and was born in 1958. Prior to that time My dad, a US Navy man and my mother, brother and older sister were on Kwajalin during the bomb tests. I have lost all of them due to cancer. I dodged the bullet not being born yet but I am all alone now and wish I was there too so I could be united with them in Heaven. I blame the USA for their early demise.
One of my good friends was in the Navy on a ship in the vacinity for the tests. He later went in and did clean up duty on unmanned ships closer to the blast. He and most of his kids have had health issues, because of that? Who knows.
What was done wasn't ok, but at that time less was known about the effects, environmentalism was not widely thought about and human life was frankly less valued. The US has contributed largely to changing all three of those things, which doesn't excuse the wrong, but the wrong isn't the whole picture.
I am sorry to hear that about your family. As a Marshallese I hope you find peace and some day we will be all reunited with are love ones in heaven. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🤙🏽
Thank you for your video. I was on Majuro for 3 weeks in August 2018, TB Leprosy free Majuro. I am amazed at the resilience of the residents on Majuro. I am sick and saddened how the US government has abandoned these same residents. I was welcomed and accepted. I will never forget this, Kommol Tata.
Thank you so much for this video and informing us how the U.S has scarred us forever. I pray for healing and complete restoration for all our people in our drowning islands. Also i love my mama nika
UFC champs
I guess you would have preferred living under Japanese occupation.
FatBoy Smith both were worse.
Even we today! We didn't mind about those atomic bomb because OUR ANCESTORS believe in GOD too but when something occur like that, they don't understand it but they just believes if it WILL OF GOD then do it, because everything is for a reason; HE created our LAND HE also can do everything for a reason. Some mad and complain but our ancestors are also a skyers. Even they don't have Book of GOD but HE might write it to their hearts because they didn't see inside GOD WORDS but maybe HE just let them read their hearts of UNCONDITIONAL LOVE because HE stay in it for ever. I have a story about a typhoon almost wipe out our island but only in our family thoughts just say! We stays together nomatter what, because if it destroy maybe GOD will wipe it all but where we will go he created it. We only know that from old to young have to pray and humble our heart's to HIM, because even we are poor but he didn't put us in real poor because we are land owners . we just stay at middle, don't want to be higher but just middle because there is someone higher than our head/ our soul throughout to OUR HEAVENLY FATHER'S.

Richard Lolin so nice lines,
so nice place on the earth 🌍 i want to know much more about this beautiful country.... 😍 😍 😍love from India
Great video it really bothers me to know there is a nuclear waste storage in our region. We should all be concerned about the sea level rise and its consequences when it reach that area.
That concrete dome on Runit is deteriorating rapidly and less than a metre above sea level - if that waste gets loose it will pollute vast swathes of the pacific as well as The Marshall Islands - The Americans are doing NOTHING about it!
FYI: Germany used to rule these islands and after they lost WW I, the League of Nations handed over Germany pacific islands to Japan. Then Japan fortified these island. I have been to Kwajalein, Ebeye and Roi Namur.
At least people have empathy for the Marshallese & the persecution the Marshallese went through. Not all people receive empathy for their persecution.
War has been a business for centuries. If it wasn't a business USA would not be spending well over $2Billion per day on military in 2020, higher as a proportion of GDP than at any time before.
:( I live at the Marshall Islands 🇲🇭 I also went swimming and I saw some old stuff under the sea it was clear tho and clean 😏
Very sad.

In history around the world United States of America number one victory
Number one nuclear polluter once their shoddy concrete dome on Runit succumbs to the sea...
beautiful island destroyed by greedy people, watching from Botswana
What a video. Great content.
OY VEY!!!
So sad
Its a shame that the testing was done at all, anywhere. No matter where it was done the consequences have been high. I will stand by tho, that Chuuk and a number of other nations would not exist at all if not for US involvement.
As a Marshallese living in US now is hard. Home was a paradise to us 😢. Jar bwe Anij en kajeblaak koj non ijoko jikud
@ 19:00 filming of US Commodore addressing the Marshall Islanders was filmed over and over and over and over again until they got it just right!
Wow..
Being Micronesian in The US is weird cus people don’t know about us and it’s weird cus there’s a lot of Americans in Micronesia.
Huh....does seem weird. But we don't have to be known throughout the world. We are humble people.
Thank you for the video.
That’s where I was born and raised
That current chart is insane! 😯😯😯😯😯😯❤❤❤❤
Stick charts or Wapepe in our tongue. We combined two navigational techniques and invented it.People like me are writing books and carrying out preservation efforts to document these so it wouldn't be lost.
I myself just began learning navigation.Amazed that my kinsmen still kept the seafaring knowledge to this day.
John Vlogs amazing never stop, keep the culture alive , and please educate all who love the ocean as much as we do mahalo
CONSCIOUS VIBES I sure will man no probs 👍.
You made a really fine series of films here. I don't think there is one bit of any of this that we learned in school.
Thanks Jeremy. I disciple of public school myself I had no 8dea of any of this till last year! Tx for your compliment.
Your vids led me to do more research and there is a great PBS doc on Micronesians settling in Minnesota and also the apparent tensions between Micronesians and Hawaiians. There was also a recent vid about one of the islands in FMI where a US official told them they'll lose their health care and passports if they seek more independence.
Yeah if you read the comments on my vids you'll see a huge fight about Hawaii and American Samoa etc. Yes on Minn. I wanted to go to add a part. Also Arkansas, San Diego and Oregon all have populations of Pacific Islanders.
Y’all bombed Marshall island?! That’s my home!
You dont even know ur own history? Thats sad
watch out for corona virus
My country don’t even have it so yea no need to watch out 🙂
LOL The pacific is one of the places with zero corona.
