As a Marshallese living in America for most of my life. We come here with only are passport and not much support from the same country that really broke us physically and emotionally. We are even denied from America’s resource when we apply. We don’t want your hand out but maybe help are people from poverty because we do not want to come to America and have to raise are kids who we want to go to school and become leaders in are Homeland some day but it’s hard when we have to start of in rough cities in America that takes are kids culture and respect that leads them to drugs and prison. America please listen to are cries and stop turning the other cheek and ignore any further.🙏🏽🇲🇭

I was on Ebeye as a mission teacher in 1995. I left very angry with the U.S. as I saw how it had severely disrupted Marshallese life for generations. A beautiful island nation, scarred by occupied experimentation. I often wonder how I would feel now if I went back there. Thank you for this video. More people should see it. It is very accurate.

This issue is larger then the natives who lived on these Islands, this issue is worldwide and it needs to be taught in all high schools as to what the US did over there. I knew they did nuclear testing, even H-bomb, but I did not know how many tests they did? This video said they did over 60 tests? That is incredible they blew up that many atomic tests over there. Furthermore I bet 98% of people do not know that the military was looking to do nuclear testing in Alaska? Yes, Alaska back in the early 50's I believe. They wanted to blow up over 100 bombs up there in the permafrost areas. The military is out of control and more so today then ever. The military is out from under civilian control, that's the key, the Congress does nothing to interfere with military plans.

These are neat videos. However, the title, "America's Compact Countries", is misleading because these aren't US territories, they're sovereign nations that have close, contract-based quid pro quo partnerships with the US. For the Marshall Islands and the Federated States of Micronesia, the partnership contracts are 20 years long and expire in 2023 - at which time the partnership agreement might be renewed with a new contract, or MI and FSM could choose to not renew their partnerships with the US. For Palau, there isn't a set expiration date of the partnership agreement, but it's subject to reviews and Palau or the US could terminate their involvement in the partnership if they decided to. The next review for the Palau-US partnership agreement is set to occur 2024 - 2025.

Thanks for your input. I got a lot of flack for naming as I did. I am glad you actually watched them. You can see that in fact the data in them is factually correct and they are named properly. Title naming is a simple thing and it matches my earlier videos. Its not supposed to be a possessive use of the term America.

    • @BeegorBucleor

@@lamanchamediatube You could also modify titles of each video, as the usage of 's indicates the possessive sense. America's Compact Agreement Partners, perhaps.

I am American and was born in 1958. Prior to that time My dad, a US Navy man and my mother, brother and older sister were on Kwajalin during the bomb tests. I have lost all of them due to cancer. I dodged the bullet not being born yet but I am all alone now and wish I was there too so I could be united with them in Heaven. I blame the USA for their early demise.

One of my good friends was in the Navy on a ship in the vacinity for the tests. He later went in and did clean up duty on unmanned ships closer to the blast. He and most of his kids have had health issues, because of that? Who knows.
What was done wasn't ok, but at that time less was known about the effects, environmentalism was not widely thought about and human life was frankly less valued. The US has contributed largely to changing all three of those things, which doesn't excuse the wrong, but the wrong isn't the whole picture.

Even we today! We didn't mind about those atomic bomb because OUR ANCESTORS believe in GOD too but when something occur like that, they don't understand it but they just believes if it WILL OF GOD then do it, because everything is for a reason; HE created our LAND HE also can do everything for a reason. Some mad and complain but our ancestors are also a skyers. Even they don't have Book of GOD but HE might write it to their hearts because they didn't see inside GOD WORDS but maybe HE just let them read their hearts of UNCONDITIONAL LOVE because HE stay in it for ever. I have a story about a typhoon almost wipe out our island but only in our family thoughts just say! We stays together nomatter what, because if it destroy maybe GOD will wipe it all but where we will go he created it. We only know that from old to young have to pray and humble our heart's to HIM, because even we are poor but he didn't put us in real poor because we are land owners . we just stay at middle, don't want to be higher but just middle because there is someone higher than our head/ our soul throughout to OUR HEAVENLY FATHER'S.

Stick charts or Wapepe in our tongue. We combined two navigational techniques and invented it.People like me are writing books and carrying out preservation efforts to document these so it wouldn't be lost.
I myself just began learning navigation.Amazed that my kinsmen still kept the seafaring knowledge to this day.

You made a really fine series of films here. I don't think there is one bit of any of this that we learned in school.

Your vids led me to do more research and there is a great PBS doc on Micronesians settling in Minnesota and also the apparent tensions between Micronesians and Hawaiians. There was also a recent vid about one of the islands in FMI where a US official told them they'll lose their health care and passports if they seek more independence.

Yeah if you read the comments on my vids you'll see a huge fight about Hawaii and American Samoa etc. Yes on Minn. I wanted to go to add a part. Also Arkansas, San Diego and Oregon all have populations of Pacific Islanders.
