What an amazing tour of your amazing beautiful country! I was a veterinary student at the university before the school moved to St. Kitts. I wanted to go on a tour with my classmates but they left without me. They returned and said it would have been too difficult for me. You took me on a trip today and I thank you for letting me come along. I still say to this day that the people of Dominica are THE friendliest people I have ever known! I treasure the ship made from the coconut palm when I lived in Portsmouth. Thank you! 👍❤
Thank you so much for this excellent video. I am a Canadian and lived and worked in Dominica for 3 years. You've captured the island and its beautiful people so well. Once again, thank you!
Dominica is not an island to go to if you are looking for a traditional beach holiday. It doesn't have vast stretches of sandy beaches you may expect to find on a Caribbean island and it rains quite frequently on the island. But with 365 rivers and some of the tallest peaks in the West Indies, it is the perfect island for eco-tourism.
I'm Jamaican and boy did I feel like I was there with you in Dominica while watching this. It's a beautiful Island. All Caribbean Islands are beautiful in their own right. Good story and and good editing.
We West Indians really must visit each other's islands more. I'm a Bajan (Barbadian) and Dominica has always been on my "bucket list". This video really shows why it's known as the nature isle of the Caribbean. Awesome place, man!
Bernard Alleyne. My goodness!!! I have to thank you folks not only for visiting my lovely country, but also for showcasing its beauty in such a wonderful film!!! This is honestly the best that I have seen so far and now you have watered my taste buds!!! I want to go back home so badly when I see this film, I have a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes!!! Thanks again for sharing this with the world!!!! May God bless you and may God continue to bless my country and its people!!!
What truly amazes me is that in our generation there can be national feeling and identity for a country with only 70,000 people. Of course St. Kitts and Nevis has even less. It's amazing in the epoch of the mega state!
Wow....went to Dominica a couple weeks after the Hurricane to do volunteer work and fell in love with the island (I'm Trinidadian) even at its worst... Felt really saddened by what I saw post Maria. However the people were full of hope and rigidly optimistic it was incredible. I was told, that, if I loved it at its worst, they can't imagine what I would do when it was green again...going back soon... I relished the simplicity, natural beauty and serenity of this island..this is no joke
Barnsley thanks for coming when you needed the most it was really a bad time for us but now the place is more beautiful &green & on top of that slot of new hotels coming up to open
This was really a great depiction of the nature island. I was there for a week and did not do half of what the two of you did. You made me feel lazy!! LOL. I was there in 1993 so quite a long time ago. I hope Maria did not do too much damage as the island is truly amazing with all the concentration of mountains, valleys and rivers in such a small place. I remember one native telling me that if you stretched out the island with all the mountains it would be one of the largest islands in all of the Caribbean.
Thank you very much. This was a wonderful opportunity to see the real Dominica in all its beauty. You retraced some of the hikes that I went on in the early Seventies when I lived in Dominica. The island and its people made such a lasting impression on this young British guy working on road projects on the island. Thanks you very much for sharing your experiences.
I met a couple of traveling Rasta residential painters in Willmar Minnesota of all places and one was from Dominica. Id. Never heard of the island before but his descriptions of its natural beauty really sparked an interest in learning more about it's unique and beautiful ecosystem
this video is taking my breath away. I am from the beautiful island of StVincent and the Grenadines, which is equally beautiful, what more is there to say. thank you. I love it.
Hi. What a beautiful and varied production. You're a fun and an educative couple too. Keep it up. I've liked and subscribed; watching from Nairobi Kenya. Thank you
I've never heard of this island until today (I'm 49!!-- yeah, I didn't care about geography until I was in my 40's- oh well) What a great place! What a great video!! You two are so cute! Thank you very much for all of your hard work ing making a truly great documentary about Dominica!!
+Stephanie Ramirez Hi Stephanie, thanks for the nice comments. Until we visited Tobago 3 years ago we had not heard of it either. We met an Englishman on Tobago and said there was a new long distance trail just opened so we thought we would give it a try, you ought to go! P.s. Have you seen the Tobago Explored video?
ByGeorgeFilms I just found you, so I haven't but I'll def check it out! You are masters of documenting! Bravo! Have you been to the USA? There's a hike called the Appalachian Trail. It takes 6 months (or so) to trek. My husband and I want to try it in segments.
It is wonderful to see my beautiful island and what nature presents on it. A lot of what I have not personally experienced but how too in the near future. Great information. Thank you.
Very impressed with your video of this rugged island, your interactions with the locals, and not to mention your ambitious uphill hikes. Now subscribed👍
A beautiful journey. Thanks to the lovely couple for sharing their experience with me. Fascinating to see how every Caribbean island is so very different but exquisitely beautiful. I thought of doing this one day, but then I saw the snake and the bats then you came to slugging uphill in that mucky path and dense bushes and that brought to memory Frogs/crappoes. I'll do the other paths but not those. Beautiful island trek. Thank you.
I like that it's not over-developed and there are no direst flights for the tourist industry to destroy it like other Caribbean islands. I think I'll fly to Martinique and get the ferry from there. I have been to Jamaica, the only Caribbean island I have visited. Dominica is next.
Hi George. This was a very beautiful video. My wife and I enjoy this kind of trips and expect to do a visit to Dominica. Special thanks and regards from Argentina
what a Wonderfull video! just bump into it researching hurricane Maria . Hope people there can recover well from the disaster. Your voice sounded like David Attenborough ;)
Karibbean Kwynn. This was an absolutely breathe taking perspective on Dominica. Thanks for sharing. This is a great medium for introducing my friends and co-workers to my birth country.
You captured the essence of this beautiful island. As a child my family travelled to dominica during uk schools summer holidays, and I can't wait to visit again. Thanks for this creatively presented video, a job well done!
That's the part of going to boiling lake that actually scars me. I am not a heights person and the sides are exposed, I am very uncomfortable it that particular spot. It's a beautiful 7 hours hike though. It's a must do for anyone visiting Dominica, however once is enough for me.
Great video 😊👋very informative and i love both of ur energy, i am from Trinidad and tobago, would love to see u all do a video on Trinidad ❤i love all of the Caribbean, really felt like i was exploring with u all, love ur sense of humor 🤗
This video is amazing! I love your chemistry and the Pirates of the Carribean remake was hilarious! 🤣🤣Well done. You two have inspired me to travel with my girlfriend and document our travel like this as well. Thank you!
Nearly 30 yrs ago I lived and worked in Dominica for 4 months. But this film reminds me that I only had time to experience only fractions of all the wonders this gem-island has to offer. Soon I hope to retire somewhere Castle Bruce.
Its great more people know about Dominica but we need to do our best to keep the local to foreign ratio low on the foreign side and high on the local to keep it as intact as possible

I love these two humans, from what I have seen! Great souls and warrior trail blazers!
I am from Grenada but luv Dominica lush mountains...totally inspired by this video. The farmer is the pinnacle of the Caribbean spirit.
Thanks for the comment, glad you enjoyed the film.
Mr Valentine was a star!
The best island to find your inner peace!

Aaah Jason, I am a native of the island and had never thought of the island being strecthed. Very smart of him or her ! I do understand what he meant.

Did fieldwork in Dominica a few times in the 1990s. Haven't been there since 2007. Miss it. This video got me all choked up . . .
Hi, Glad you liked the film, what fieldwork did you do, was it the volcanics?
No psychological anthropology; child development and health.
Beautifully presented along with excellent information for others to hike the trails in Dominica.
Went there in 97, what an amazing place! I wish I could spend more time in Dominica.

Beautiful production. That ending with the still shots of their adventure and people they met was so professionally done. Wow!
