My rebuilt pro15 ate the rod bushing because I didn’t have that flywheel shim 😡so the crank could move Back-&-forth (totally my fault) so new rod & rist pin & that shim ,it’s running mint now 😂😂😂🤞👌🤙🇬🇧
Great video sir,,,,,,I have a question….traxxas 3.3,,,,,is it okay to just replace the push rod and reuse the piston or would it be wiser to get a new piston and push rod,,the pinch is fine,,,it’s the push rod slop I encountered …. Stupity is the lack of common sense,,,,,imho…. Keep your videos coming…I thoroughly enjoy every minute of your tutorials,,,,,you’re a great asset for this hobby….personally I’ve learned a lot from your expertise…..thanks a million….🇺🇸👍🚘
Hey Matt thank you very much for the kind words I really appreciate it! If you are going to rebuild it buy new connecting rod and wrist pin. Very important!
@@thebug4046 …thanks for the comeback,,,I’ll get right on it….btw…my name is JIM…..maybe you were talking to a MATT with the same question? No issue here my friend…..been there, done that……love your stuff,,always looking forward…🇺🇸👍🚘
No joke thoughs clips aren't cheap for what they are id definitely also wouldn't mind doing the same ordering as much as possible to get a decent price 💯🥰👍👌✌️
@@thebug4046no kidding iv got a few motor with the parts to assemble but they price for just 2 clips for 5 like 45-50$ +shipping that ridiculous for wire clips. I fill ya there definitely tripping it be awesome if they would just include a extra set or a set when ordering a piston rod pin. If I ever find a bolk dill I'll definitely let you no.💯👍😉✌️
@@josephsaucedo8691 I've seen some meat head on ebay trying to do the same thing 2 clips $2 and 50 dollars shipping to Canada I message them chewing him out big time there is no reason why something that small should cost that much to ship
I have a curious question…….what will happen if you remove both plastic seals on the crankshaft bearings or do you have to leave the one seal in place with the exposed bearings facing outward….just my curiosity acting up …..thanks,,,you’re the bestest..🇺🇸👍🚘
Both seals out on the rear bearing one seal out on the front bearing. They will run without any seal in the front bearing but dirt will get in and destroy the bearing
You can also use the hpi 21 savage fly wheel there cheaper if you can find them there a 2 shoe but you can make it a 3 shoe easily they come with both sets of holes and Amazon sell ss dowel pins that fit for really cheap iv done it to quit a few that i picked up for cheap on ebay just lock tight the pins when pressing it in the flywheel. 5AA rechargeable put in series also can be done as a cheap 6v hump pack with heat shrink.💯😉👍👌✌️🫡also if i remembering it right the dog bones also use the same dowels if not its the wheel hubs that are the same dowel pins on the savage 😉✌️
The house is smelling real good now!!
